I first visited the Papeterie Casse-Noisette about 6 years ago when I was looking for sealing wax and a fleur-de-lis stamp when I was making my own wedding invitations. They have sealing wax in every possible color! As well as a lovely selection of sealing wax stamps and sealing wax stamp kits. A few days ago I stepped into the shoppe again to buy more sealing wax, this time to see if they had sealing wax in baby pink. I had no idea if they had baby pink, but I should not have doubted it as, indeed, they did from the venerable French sealing wax company, J. Herbin. Also, while I was there, I picked up two really beautiful St-Valentine’s cards for my husband and my daughter. And although I have yet to buy gift wrap from Papeterie Casse-Noisette, they have an absolutely beautiful selection of gorgeous paper. I promised myself that I would be back soon to buy a beautiful sheet of wrapping paper to add that special touch to my next gift.

I couldn’t think of a better name than Papeterie, as this place is wall-to-wall paper madness. They carry(inhale) Moleskines, Pierre Belvedere, Clairefontaine, Semikolon(!), and a wide assortment of wrap, ribbon, hand-made papers, cards, and other precious items. Need wax stamps for an epistolery romance? Acoutrements? Lamy pens? General paper-related cuteness? Papeterie has got you covered. Obligatory Title Pun: PAPER don’t preach/I’ve been losing sleep. Menu Readability: There’s no menu here, stupid. Need to mention: There is a cast iron staircase leading to an affiliated gallery upstairs. What this place teaches me about myself: I will never not climb a cast iron staircase.
