We walked in to this fancy bar on a monday early in the afternoon and I was very Surprised of how busy it was for a monday! We had to walk a flight of stairs to the terrace upstairs where the lady greeted us with great enthusiasm and told us to seat where we’d like on the patio. She took our order very quickly ! I was so impressed and happy that they were able to do cold slushy cocktails. I ordered a piña colada and my girl had the amaretto sour. We were both very very happy with our drinks. She ordered fries that were cooked to perfection. Very crispy and fresh out of the oil I suppose. They were very quick to give us everything. The service was fantastic and so was the food. The only thing that turned me off a little bit was the size of my piña colada. It was relatively small compared to other places but the mix was superb and exquisite. I definitely would recommend this bar over the rest on crescent street a very famous road and a landmark in Downtown montreal. They are notorious for great bars and having good drinks is the objective of this road! Overall, i will definitely be back for more ! Thank you for a wonderful experience on this monday afternoon! Yummy!

I was here last week with a colleague after work for a drink or four, and, to get a little something to eat to cut my appetite. This restaurant is located on Crecent street which is, frankly, a perfect location. It also has a terrace /balcony in the font of the restaurant looking over the busy street. The décor and design of the restaurant is on point, gives you the sense of elegance without being snobby. I ordered the wild calamari carbonara which was horrible. The pieces of calamari were tinny and the sauce was too liquidly. Defiantly missing texture and very disappointing. I could personally make a better carbonara. Nevertheless, I did have a good time on the terrace/balcony drinking my vodka with great company and atmosphere. Quite fun! I would not recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a eat at nice restaurant, especially for special occasion. However, to have a drink or five, I wouldn’t mind.

Was there a few weeks back on a Thursday night and I did not have a great experience. My friend and I just had dinner at another place and wanted to finish the night with one last drink and when we saw a free table on the 2nd floor patio, we decided to go in and this is were my bad experience begins. We ask the lady standing outside if the table was free or reserved(only reason we wanted in this place). She check and told us no problem so we went upstairs. The hostess there was pretty rude, almost like we were disturbing her. I told her that we wanted the table outside, we got our menus and I was told that we cannot just drink and that we needed to take 2 food items(we were 2) if we want to sit at the patio. Not great because we just ate but I guess we can make it work. We started to sit and then a waiter showed up in a hurry to say no we cannot sit there the place is for Seb and that he might come tonight. We got another table right by the door and it was not a good table at all. Long story short Seb didn’t show, they have the table to 2 young ladies and after 15 min the manager casually said it doesn’t matter now because you have a table but Seb is not coming… REALLY worst service ever. Thanks god the waiter we had was great because he is the reason for the 2 stars. The sangria was very good but not sure at all I will be going back to try the food Long story short Seb didn’t s

I’m upset I had to even select 1 star for this review. We sat at the far bar with the kid with the gay mowhawk for 18 minutes, made eye contact with us twice without saying«I’ll be with you in a second«or «how are you». He watched hockey and talked and laughed with his bartender friends for half the time without tending to his bar. The second time he made eye Contact with me he walked by and cleaned up the bar. We had no glasses in front of us. So we got up to walk over to the bigger bar. And waited another 10 or 12 minutes while one tall brunette girl was chatting with some Chinese dudes and gave them her number and stood around flattered for 10 minutes. If it wasn’t for the gentleman next to us who had been waiting a long time just to pay his tab, I’m not sure we would have even been acknowledged. There were 4 bar tenders and only maybe 6 people at the bar. It’s almost like they were ignoring us on purpose. Can’t tell if they are just lazy French assholes or just not smart enough to notice 2 new people approach their not so busy bar. Either way. Don’t go here if u enjoy great customer service. Cause it looks like not too many people get it

My friend and I were traveling to Montréal from out of town and went to the Bistro upstairs(There are a total of three floors) on Saturday night around 10 when we were on Rue Crescent. We both enjoyed the atmosphere there — the servers were courteous, the environment was well-decorated and the lights were at the perfect extent of lit. We ordered two glasses of moscato($ 8) and the poutine with 2 year old cheddar($ 12). My friend was impressed with their poutine — the fries were seasoned right and fried properly, the cheddar was melted well with the sauce, the bacon was a good addition to the poutine. That appetizer alone was very filling. Though, our main dishes were slightly underwhelming. I ordered the slow-cooked salmon and my friend ordered the ribs. I liked the lentil salad that came with the salmon. However the salmon was undercooked. The friend liked the ribs but the purée that came with it was not appetizing to him. All in all, we enjoyed our time there and would recommend anyone that wants a quick bite to go there — The poutine with the moscato was enough to fill my friend and I up so if you need food before bar hopping, this is the spot for you ;)

Very bad and I mean it very bad after new Managment it’s like street fight if you don’t like your food I will be attaching the picture of the steak plate I got it was really very bad Then the manager comes and scream and shout and try instead of making u calm down to insult and harass !! So impolite !! Normally they get you another piece or try to understand but he just say (you didn’t try it even) If i didn’t try it why it was cut and why I should return it !? The plate was very poor and the steak was burned and taste awful like a charcoal not even any vegetable or any sauce it was worst ever steak I saw For me I am just feel bad for this loooong in history Resturant it was my favorite place Now I know why it’s always empty By the way the staff is very friendly and so nice only good thing !!

Came with a friend for a casual dinner. At first the music was really loud, making conversation really difficult, but as the night went on, and the bar filled up, it was much easier to handle. The DJ was excellent and we em really enjoyed the music. Our food was at the level you expect for this sort of bar. Nothing fancy, but it was decent. I had the roast beef sandwich. We split nachos to eat while watching the game on the tvs at the bar which were pretty good. The bar tender we had was friendly and helpful. There was a wide variety of patrons of ranging ages. Didn’t go to the bistro or the club sections. Since we got there for supper there were no lines or cover charges

Walking up the stairs into this bar on Crescent St. I didn’t quite know what to expect. It was a cold Wednesday night and I was from out of town. I was on a search for Poutine and Beer. Upon entering it was somewhat empty and I pulled up at the bar and found a seat. On my right were two Cruise ship workers from Montenegro and on the left some young Americans looking for cheap shots before they went out on the town. I introduced myself to the bartender and started with an IPA. It was fresh and tasty. Next I ordered«The Classic» Poutine and asked for the addition of bacon and scallions. The bartender obliged without hesitation. I sucked down a local Lager and a live band began playing. They were outstanding. Female drummer, female vocalist, male on guitar. Great sound and I told the vocalist to try out for The Voice. And. Then. My. Poutine. Arrived. I got a quick whiff of the Poutine as the steam rose towards my nose. It was smoky. The moment it touched my tongue was a burst of flavor– a perfect combination of salty and savory. The cheese was a little rubbery, just how it should be. My palate melted. My taste buds reached new peaks. It was glorious. I finished with a water and a tequila on the rocks. Both were to my satisfaction. In short, I would go back on a cold Wednesday night if I was visiting Montréal and in search of beer, Poutine, and music.

I try my best to avoid Crescent St if I can help myself because it tends to be overcrowded with tourist traps and bars that appeal more to the eighteen year olds who are new to the bar scene and just want to get drunk. That being said I found myself invited to a fundraising event at Thursday’s recently so I ventured down there for a night out. There are two floors to Thursday’s. The first floor is the bar area while the top floor is more of a restaurant. Music in the bar area was too loud in my opinion. You’re constantly screaming to be able to have a decent conversation which is something that frustrates me a bit. If there was a dance floor I might have been a little more understanding but there wasn’t. The drinks are what you could expect from any bar. They have a decent variety of beers on tap such as Rickard’s Red which is fine when microbrews aren’t available. The prices weren’t too bad but then again since it was a fundraiser I believe we were being given special prices. A glass of house wine was $ 4 but I have to admit that I got what I paid for in that it wasn’t very good. The menu is what you expect from a bar: burgers, nachos, sandwiches, wings, etc. I was really full from a massive lunch earlier so I just had a French onion soup. The salt in the broth was overpowering and that was all you could really taste. It also meant that I was dying of thirst later. While it certainly is conveniently located I do believe that you can get much better experiences elsewhere. Everything about the experience left me feeling underwhelmed and I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon.

Cool place for brunch! Nice establishment to gather with a big group to celebrate eggs, bacon and other breakfasty wonders. Took the eggs benedictine(I’m so predictable). A vegan friend of ours was able to obtain an impromptu customized dish that looked amazing. Giving it 4 stars because of the«unlimited» supply of fresh orange juice, coffee and pastries(yum yum).

Like to come here to eat when I’m in Montréal. Food is always good. They have a great Sunday Brunch. It’s a little on the pricey side but worth it. Atmosphere is great as are the wait staff.

They are not very honest or professional. They announced to have a Halloween party with prizes on their website. However, there were no prizes, just expensive drink with not a drop of alcohol in them. I ordered a cocktail called Les 4 Jeudis(4 Thursdays) Did I ever get 4 Thursdays! 1-Awful service 2-Unprofessional waitress 3-not a drop of alcohol in my 9 $ +tax + tip cocktail 4-Untruthful bartender claiming tonic water + lemon is equal to alcoholic drink Will not go back. There are so many places to go for a drink in Montréal with honest, professional services.

Stopped in for a beer and a snack while touring around the neighborhood. Sat upstairs out on the terrace. Service and ambiance could not have been better. I had the buffalo mozz salad and my husband had the spinach/endive salad. Small but tasty. The bread served beforehand was excellent and couple of Stellas hit the spot. Would definitely go back.

Just moved into the neighborhood and decided to check this location out when my husband I heard about $ 1 oysters Monday. We sat on the pleasant patio. Great view of the street and I liked how small and quaint it was. It started going down hill when we had to ask for a waitress to serve us. The restaurant was empty, only the patio was filled. It’s impossible to just«miss» us. She brought us water glasses with obvious red lipstick stains on them. We proceeded ordering oysters, calamari, and the mussels. All very excellent, but we felt like we almost had to hunt them down. Took over 45 minutes for the food arrive. The ice was half melted and the oysters were sinking. We had to ask for the tiny spoons to dress our oysters. We were finished with the oysters by the time she brought the spoons. We had to ask serval times for napkins and silverware to finish the rest of our meal. She split the check incorrectly.(We were accompanied by my husband’s employer) After the second time splitting it wrong, we gave up and pay the check so we can leave ASAP. It was a stressful meal to say the least.

A group of 8 descended upon this bar after eating a fantastic meal at Liverpool House. We were too full and tired to really make the most out of the remainder of the night. However the atmosphere was trendy and happening. It seems like a popular spot with a bar /lounge feel. The ambiance is nice, modern and seemingly recently renovated. Drinks were average priced. We got one round and called it a night. The bartenders seemed fun. One was actually dancing with customers at one point. Seemed like people were having a good time at Thursday’s.

Picture 12 Washington Capital fans descending on Thursday’s after an early afternoon hockey game. Ignorant of the French Canadian Culture? Check. Ready to drink and be American? Check. Already too drunk for 4 in the afternoon? Check. While I certainly don’t like getting grouped into the«M’erica» type crowd, I was, with this group of twelve fine gentleman. Thursday’s handled us with care, fed us more shots that we could handle, and left us happily looking for another bar to act like idiots in. The staff, from the bartender on down, was great. The food was fuel, but it succeeded. The drinking was awesome. I definitely would recommend this as a day-drinking, post-game drinking, or in general drinking spot. I can’t really remember what I ate, if it was good, or anything else about the meal… just a faint remembrance of being happy.

Second time here. This visit was for a work dinner, group of 26. We had a set menu of which they changed 2 of the options at the dinner. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t very good either. This visit definitely was as good as my first but maybe that was due to the group size. Not sure if I would go back again but if you haven’t been there give it a try.
