Sink or Swim Scuba & Watersports

Ah I’m so happy to write a review of the good people at Sink Or Swim Scuba! I dove with them a couple weeks ago and then got right back into the swing of things home in Montréal that I delayed, but thought of them so fondly and am so happy to give them 5 stars!
From the outset, communication with them through their website and via email was easy and super fast and friendly and professional. I got a great impression right away, which for me is important. Scuba diving makes me ridiculously happy every time I do it and I want to keep doing it with people who make me feel safe and cared for, and more than that, people who have that respect for the ocean and the science that makes the whole thing feel almost reverent.
I spent an afternoon with a divemaster who works at Sink Or Swim, rented all my gear from them, had a thrilling, crazy cold, deeply beautiful dive, then spent a while pouring over dive books learning the proper names for everything we saw.
One thing was I wish they had urged me to book one dive and upgrade to two if I could stand the cold since I’m not dry suit certified, but I understand business-​wise why they did what they did and couldn’t reimburse me when I was too blue for number two.
Main point: the people here are awesome and conscientious and cool and I will dive with them when I’m back that way for sure.
