Horrible horrible service & complete lack of knowledge about products sold. Staff should be trained to simply say «I don’t know» when they don’t have the answers rather than sell the wrong item.
I went to staples to make sure I bought the right tax return software for my Mac. Staff handed me «UFile.» Now, a couple of weeks after having bought this software, I finally had time to install it … it wouldn’t install. It was the wrong software.
I went back to Staples & 3 staff members insisted I had the right software for Mac.
I looked into it and there is only online software, not installation discs for Mac OS.
Even though staff kept giving the wrong advice, saying UFile was the right software, they would not give a refund.
They are not experts. They are a big box store that pretends to have experts. They take absolutely no responsibility for their errors.

Came here for some biz supplies and it is typical of other big box Staples.
It was not very busy being in the evening but I still had to scout around for a staff member to ask questions… still quite fully stocked being that it is in small town Nanaimo.
