As I quickly approach review number 300, I have to say a few words about my recent experience in this shop. My friend’s sister(who is also a friend of mine) just took over running this shop not that long ago, and I’ve been meaning to drop in for a coffee since then. As the shop is close to Algonquin college, it is not near where I live or work, and the opportunity to visit and try it out hasn’t presented itself until now. And when it happened — wow! Five of us gathered for a «knit and natter» one lovely Sunday morning. This 2 hour visit stretched into 3 hours, and longer! It’s so nice to see each other and catch up! Besides — what a nice shop! Spacious, and very bright and inviting, with artworks displayed on the walls(and for sale), the staff is friendly and helpful, and of course the coffee and noshes are also delicious! I have to say that I was impressed with the preparation of the food; rather than proffering already prepared sandwiches out of the display case, they actually prepared the food hot and fresh as you ordered it. I would certainly go back. And no, I am not just saying that because my friend is running the shop!!! Unfortunately for us, she wasn’t there during our visit. Otherwise, we might have insisted on teaching her to knit!(that’s always an ulterior motive behind these knit-outs, hahahaaa!!) I wonder what review number 300 will be? Stay tuned to find out! You know what? I had no idea how hard it would be to wright 300 reviews! Kudos to you who do one a day! Maybe we can ponder this over coffee one day?! Give me a shout! Maybe we can figure something out :-)

What an adorable location right next to shopping, transit and good ol’ Algonquin College. After all that shopping, its nice to get away from it all and put you’r feet up at Timothy’s. This location is cozy, comfy, and inviting. Staff are great, and welcoming as soon as you enter the coffee shop. Not only that but they are very helpful if you are having trouble deciding what kind of drink you want. Don’t forget to pick up k-cups if you have a keurig; they always have great deals going on!

As Samantha mentioned, this happens to be a great spot for students and staff at Algonquin, and so I’ve been here about a billion times. Prior to being a student and staff member at the Gonq I also rested my tired feet here after a long day of shopping at the outlet stores in College Square. More recently however, my trips here have been mainly for the free WiFi and delicious ice coffee. The staff here are great — always really positive and enthusiastic which I appreciate. They’re always patient when I take forever to decide what I want! They have a good iced chai and always have some seasonal specials that are yummy. The baked goods are also delish, and not nearly as pricey as Starbucks. Warning — they have a two hour time limit on their WiFi so if you need something longer head elsewhere.

As a student at Algonquin College, I often find myself at College Square on breaks, before or after class. Timothy’s is a great café in a great location, and even though their regular prices may be seen as a bit steep– they offer a student discount, which I LOVE(obviously). Each and EVERY time I’ve been there(and I’ve been there… more often than I’d like to admit), the service has been great and the staff are always beyond friendly. I hate to have to admit, I’m one of those annoying customers that can never decide what she wants, but they’re always so patient and have great suggestions. I have yet to try a drink I haven’t enjoyed. The one and ONLY thing I have to say that isn’t speaking to how great they are, is the fact that for some reason they’re always super busy. Actually, I guess that does kind of show how awesome it is… so really, nothing negative at all! I’m sure I’ll continue my Timothy’s breaks even after my time at Algonquin is done!
