This is my go to cheap and delicious breakfast place. I have tried their fluffy pancakes loaded with whip cream and strawberries, their eggs benny that are buttery goodness and their working man’s eggs and toast and bacon breakfast with awesome crispy hashbrowns. I am always satisfied going here and the wokers are friendly and smiley with everyone.

I’m giving this place 5 stars because if you are looking for a good cheap breakfast in New Westminster I don’t think you’ll find better, so it’s «Woohoo! As good as it gets!». $ 4.50 for the basic breakfast and under $ 7 for a «truckers» breakfast. The inside is nothing special, dated décor. It’s bright /w a full wall of windows. A selection of daily newspapers to read. The service is fast and friendly. Don’t forget it’s cash only!

Amelia is where I go for a quick, cheap, fast, and fresh breakfast. It’s not ground breaking cuisine, it’s bacon and eggs, toast, coffee, and some homemade hash browns that didn’t come from a shredding machine. I think loyal fans the other reviewer speaks of are going for breakfast at a fair price, with stellar service. If that’s what you’re looking for, come here. $ 4.50 for 3 strips of bacon, 2 eggs, 2 full slices of toast, and hashbrowns, made fresh to order is a) cheaper than mcdonalds or anywhere else b) better for you than anything else at that price and c) filling for the day. One note: CASHONLY! DH and I usually leave an insane tip because 20 bucks for two breakfasts still seems fair to me(coffee & tea included) I should try some of their asian fusion at some point… maybe the lemon chicken isn’t stellar, but I think I saw mee goreng on the menu and I’d love to try it…

This was my mom’s favourite restaurant but then she died. Good place for breakfast. Cheap. Fast, friendly service. Nice little Chinese lady. Leave nice tip. She remember. The food tastes okay. I eat so fast I don’t taste my food anyway. Not really too fancy. I fit right in. Thank you very much.

I don’t know how old, exactly the Amelia Restaurant is, but the pink and white décor suggests that the last time they redecorated was in the pastel-obsessed ‘80s. In any case, it’s a pretty popular spot for cheap breakfast specials and free refills. But my reason for going was because I was craving lemon chicken — and Amelia is one of those old-school greasy spoons with«Chinese/Canadian food.» But horror of horrors, they did not have lemon chicken. I used a bad word, kinda loudly in the midst of the clientele of mostly senior citizens, but was forced to make do with sweet-and-sour pork. It was okay, and there was a lot of it, but it was no lemon chicken, to be sure.(The server also made me put it my own take-out container.) I would probably go to Amelia again, as apparently the patrons are fiercely loyal and I’m curious about the reason for that. But they’d better have that lemon chicken: I’m still craving the diabolical stuff.
