Great selection of clothing and shoes. Good camping supplies and fishing supplies too. I came here to look at knives good selection, but there were only about 4 pellet guns which didn’t surprise me. I just went out the back door walked about 15 meters and went into Westley surplus to look at guns though. Fully met expectations. My expectations weren’t super high or anything though.

Much of the time for us last week was focused on and around medical«stuff & such» in New Westminster. A big«ugh» to that stuff, but«yea» to the times in between, out and about the city! On the one day(with morning and early-afternoon appointments), it was lunch, and some shopping/browsing at the Army & Navy Department Store in between. Another opportunity for us to catch some buys in the food department, see and experience some of the changes/renovations that have been made throughout the store since our last visit, and take a good look at what’s being offered these days. ‘Bingo’ for me, I found my favourite shell-type jacket at a great price in the men’s wear section! My present one, after a good many years of wear, is starting to show it’s age — it’s still good for park outings, walking in forest trails, and such, but I now have a new one to replace it for in-the-city wear, and such. We enjoyed our recent visit to Army & Navy, and during our walkabout, the three of us were able to catch several food, and other bargains to bring home from our visit.

82⁄100 If you thought Army and Navy was for men, think again. There is womans and kids stuff here. Need nice, new, inexpensive shoes. Go to A&N first. They have a great selection of kids stuff and low priced household items as well. This location is very convenient for me, it is right outside Columbia station. And they have an annual shoe sale, do not miss it!!!

Before I learned that you can buy cheap stuff in the states I used to come here. Great deals on clothes, some in style just second run or out of fashion. Lately it has been hit and or miss but I do come out with a treasure or two. I have been here a few times in the past few months getting cheap disposable clothes for Coachella. To be honest I am here mostly for the great deals on the home décor and kitchen items. This isn’t the place to just go in and out. You will be suckered into staying later. This happens every time. Customer service is more miss than hit.

I went to college in New West, and I spent many hours avoiding study and instead walking around Army and Navy. I know this place has been here for many years. I love it’s old look and great deals, feels like a second hand store /thrifty type place but its not. This location is big with 3 floors. Has selections of clothing, shoes, home décor, grocery and so much more. They also hold name brands for men and women’s clothing and shoes, you just have to look for them. Some of the stuff they have is not the greatest quality but you get what you pay for.

I have to give A&N credit for what they’ve done to the place, from the eye-catching window displays incorporating vintage props to the reorganization bringing the food bargains up to street level. They often have things like organic cereal on special, so I often stop in and take a look when I’m cruising Columbia. Occasionally you can find some buys on «designer» gear, but Army & Navy generally remains a good, locally owned store to get your basics for life at a bargain.

LOTS of great deals here, if you’re willing to take the time to look around and find them. You DON’T always have to know what you’re looking for, but it helps. DO check them out some time when you have nothing better to do. I’ve bought lots of useful CHEAP stuff here, like work gloves(probably factory seconds, but who cares?) for a buck a pair. Great for greasing backhoes and excavators, and I don’t even care when they get ruined from all the grease! Hmm…maybe I better go see if they have some more of them on sale.

Cheap«department store» style clothes, construction/work gear, housewares, camping/fishing stuff etc. Basically like Wal-Mart, but a bit more dumpy. Couldn’t help but notice the aging building(especially the dirty floor) when I walked in.

I am a fan of cheaply made clothing and housewares(Walmart, Superstore, etc.) so when I was in New West the other day I decided to stop in to Army and Navy and take a look around. I haven’t been in there for a while and was surprised to see they have changed quite a bit. The upper floor now has a large selection of nice housewares. Actual nice, modern stuff. The woman’s clothing department isn’t bad either now. I picked up a few silky and frilly bra and panty sets. Sure they were cheap and will only last a few wears and washes, but I’ll probably only wear them for photo shoots or nights when I know I’m going to get laid.

Reasonable to cheap prices for cheaply and badly made clothes! Pretty much. Right up my alley! I like Walmart better but A&N is closer. Decent service if you got the look. You can’t return used underwear or hankerchiefs. WHAT’S UPWITHTHAT?! In summation; Army & Navy: I had my fun!

This place is very basic and will sometimes shop here. Mostly for shirts, a jacket here and there and ALWAYS the annual shoe sale. If you haven’t realized from my other reviews, I am a shopaholic lol. I just recently went to the shoe sale and bought 5 pairs of fashion shoes for about $ 125 including taxes. If I were skinnier their clothes might fit but I find that they don’t. Even when I was a size 10.

Old, smelly, dusty, and you’re basically shopping at a very old store that had no renovations since it opened like over 60 years ago. Lots of ugly shoes, ugly clothes, extremely poor customer service. I actually bought an item at Army and Navy in downtown and I brought it to the New West location for refund and they said they Army and Navy doesn’t carry this item and I told them that I did buy it here but the downtown location. They refused the refund even arguing with the manager. Really stupid staff members… it looked like most of them are baked on pot.

This very basic but large storefront is a great place to find some great deals. Personally, I enjoy their show department, even outside of the annual show sale. I have found some get low-mid point brands here, and when buying a trend shoe I like that I can usually find what I am looking for at Army & Navy for $ 20 or less. My most recent trip I was thrilled to find little summer tops on sales 3 for 9.99 and denim ‘short pants‘ as I call them for $ 8. I have also found lots of knick knacks for around my flat and some great mugs years ago which I still use and love(lepord print!). For my boyfriend A&N is his go to place for fishing gear. This is a great place to swing by if you feel like shopping and being able to buy something with the change stowed at the bottom of your hand bag.
