Been here many times and always loved the food. I do have a problem with this joint’s bubble tea — it’s always extremely sweet and there isn’t much taste other than the ultra sweetness. Would recommend ordering food but not drinks(or get half sugar).

Asked to be seated for 2 and how long the wait would be. Server said«I don’t know» and rudely walked away. Nice location but up your serving game please.

I would give a 5 star for food, it’s always on point & fast. No problem there. Now I’ve been here MANY times, but today I was shocked. Normally, the hostess/customer service is horrid. They never get/ask you if you want water, when you do, they don’t bring it to you. You physically have to either get it yourself, or grab the glasses & give it to the person to get you water. So to the point, today we got our food first & fast. We never got the drink we ordered, or any beverage. When we told her we were done & still haven’t received our drink she replied that it would take 30 mins till we would get out drink. 30MINUTES! We watched people walk in & order drinks who got their drinks right away & we never got ours, regardless we were there 20 mins prior. We ended up paying for our meal, she charged us for our drink that we DIDNT get. We made it clear we were not paying for something we never got. I was soo disappointed. They are under staffed & when it’s not busy, I still never get my drink. I have to ask for it when they aren’t making anything because they FORGOT.

The service at this location has been super slow all three times I’ve been here(waited 45 — 60 mins). Followed up with the delay in getting drinks on one occasion and their best excuse was that«they were busy» and still having to wait for half our order. Music is loud(or the sound is bouncing off the walls) where I can hear the person beside me. The food taste like any other Taiwanese noodle joint so nothing too exciting. Prices is about the average at other bubble worlds. The experience at the new west bubble world is definitely worth passing up and take the detour to the Burnaby or Richmond location, you might actually get your order within an hour of ordering(no joke).

*Currently closed for renovations!* Went here to grab bubble tea because it’s close by and found that it is closed. Not too disappointed as they’re usually really busy and takeout takes soooonlonnnng. Went to Bubble World in Coq on North Rd instead which was cleaner, had more options and super fast!

Tried ordering a snack and a drink on a Thursday night, as website says they open until 12am. Called and no one picked up-went straight to fax and assumed someone was paying for food. Called another two or three times and there was no answer, so I just decided to visit the restaurant. Only when I got there, did I realize that it was closed. Quite disappointed. Otherwise, food is good.

Went there with my friend last night at 11:20 pm(they are open till 12). We were barely greeted by some staff that were drinking wine just outside the shop. After 5 minutes the girl finally came to us and mentioned that it was the last call for food. She then said I have to double check with the kitchen, came back and said that she couldn’t serve us. We were super disappointed with the customer service as we go there a lot.

Located in downtown New Westminster, this Bubble World location is very similar to all it’s other counterparts: decent food, wide selection of drinks and mediocre service. The interior is spacious and good for groups. But street parking outside is kind of limited, so be wary. Also, it’s paid parking until 8pm everyday. If you’ve been to any other Bubble World(or any other bubble tea restaurants) the menu is basically the same. Chicken nuggets with rice, beef brisket noodle soup, dumplings, condensed milk toast, etc. The waitress forgot 2 of our drinks, but she was able to figure it out because we kept giving her glances. The restaurant closes at 12am on weekends, and by the time 11:30pm rolled around, she gave bills to every table(quite abrupt) and told us to pay. I guess they needed to reconcile their till? Anyway, not my first choice of bubble tea places. But if my friends decided to eat here before catching a movie, I wouldn’t hate it.

I wish Unilocal gave us the ability to rate service and food separately. It would allow me to paint a more accurate picture of my experiences here. 1 Star for service 4 Star for food. The service here is awful. If I were generous I would describe it as cold and indifferent. I’ve had the hostess walk away from my date and I without saying a word after asking for a table of two, servers who make it feel like you’re imposing on them when you ask questions about the menu, and I’ve watched food go cold in the pass while they’ve chatted on the phone or fiddled with cutlery. You are made to feel like you’re a minor irritation in their day. When the food eventually makes it out to you, it’s pretty good. The seasonal sauted veg, 5 spice beef rolls in Chineese pancake and the fried chicken are all stand out dishes.

Solid bubble tea place. Tapioca was of consistent quality and cooked very well. It’s no dragon ball, but its certainly one of the better ones in the GVRD.

Amazing place, nice atmosphere, tasty Asian food with a bit of western choice, but the best is bible tea! Awesome, definitely recommend!

Surprisingly good. I got the salt pepper chicken with noodle soup. It smelled like Taiwan when it arrived. Always a good sign. The batter has the taiwanese 5-spice that I like. Chicken was tender, juicy, and tasty. Noodles were cooked at the right al dente level for chinese noodle soup. Service was ok. The ambience is nice. Externally, it doesn’t look that promising, basically like the lower level of an office park, but it’s quite nice inside.

Awesome food and drink. Though, it’s February 1 and Christmas music is still playing. Excruciating.

I can’t stay away from this place. Amazing food and really affordable. My go to is either salty peppery chicken with noodle in soup, spicy beef with noodle in soup, or the beef broth with pork dumpling. A side of pan fried Gyoza goes with anything, and the odd kimchi hot pot is fabulous. Usually my bill is under 10 $.

Just raised prices by $ 2 per item by now making you pay for rice and side dishes that were previously included in all meals. Kind of lame.

mmm, since over 15 years ago, I think I still enjoy Bubble World since its pretty standard across the board, and the prices aren’t too expensive. I usually go for my milky green tea, but decided to try a taro oreo slush for $ 5. If definitely had oreos in there, but, the taro was pretty weak compared to a normal taro BBT *weep*. We also shared a condensed milk toast, though this time, it was a bit more buttery, and less sweet milky goodness on it. All in all, it cost $ 14 for 2BBT& milk toast, is relatively close to my home, and I don’t think I’ve ever had problems with them. I *think* their take away menu is slightly cheaper? Will take a look next time. BTW, there is a free parkade behind Bubble World, you gotta go down the alley way, and the door from inside the lot leads right inside. Debit & Cash only.

I’ve had a couple visits so far, and my only regret is not having given this place a try earlier! They’ve got a great selection of bubble teas, that’s for sure. Myself and all the folks I’d come here with gave the selection and the teas themselves a big thumbs up. The food was a pretty average. Wasn’t bad at all, but it didn’t knock us off our feet. Still, it was good enough that both my husband and myself would come back for repeat visits. The service was a little slow, but both times I went were either on a Friday night or right at prime dinner time, so I can’t accurately judge with being there while it’s busy. When I was there both times they did not take credit cards — debit and cash only. Not a big deal for us, but do be aware of this when you go. All in all I was pretty pleased with this place, and it may be our new hangout place with our old spot having been burned down. Time will tell!

The only bubble tea place I know of in New West, luckily it’s decent. It’s pretty much like all the other bubble world locations. They have a very good selection of bubble tea, as well as food. Bubble tea wise it’s pretty standard, but the food can be hit or miss. The noodle soups are delicious, but some of the small dishes can be a little bland and/or texturally odd. The prices are a little high for what you get as well. The servers can be a little abrupt, but not to the point of rudeness. It’s pretty easy to catch their attention which is good. Sadly there’s no loyalty card like with some bbt places, but it’s okay. I’ll still be back.
