Visiting the falls for the first time. Me, my wife and 2 boys ages 16 and 12. Concierge suggested Napoli and we walked up Friday night. Reservations are recommended but they got a table ready for us and we only waited 5 minutes to get seated. We were in shorts and T shirts from walking around the falls all afternoon and this is more of a mid to high level of dress but they made us feel comfortable. Linen tablecloths and napkins. We shared a couple of small plates and then ordered a couple pizzas and a couple of pasta dishes. Excellent bread with spicy olive oil to dip. Full bar. Waiter was extremely nice and helpful with his recommendations. He even gave us our Tiramisu to go so we wouldn’t miss the fireworks show. Highly recommend with few choices for good food in town this one is a gem. A couple of blocks from our hotel as well which was a bonus. There were locals in there as well as locals coming in for pizza to go which is always a good sign.

Wow what a great place in such a tourist area… Food, we can only comment on the pizza, since that’s all we ordered! They are just 12″ but we ordered three different ones and wow what great flavor. The ingredients seamed to be fresh and they must be quality ingredients. I wish we could of actually tried other food it looked so great! Service was excellent and attentive couldn’t ask for much better. I truly believe the staff tried to make sure our experience was pleasant and not feel rushed for our party of 4. Price was actually very fair for the area, we looked at the other items on the menu and they also looked reasonable. Atmosphere, this place made me feel like it was an authentic Italian family owned business. Couldn’t tell you if it is but it sure felt like it. «TIP» if your still reading! We got lucky and they had a table for us but we sat near the entrance and they had to turn down a lot business because of no more tables, so if you really want to eat a great Italian place make reservations!!!

Greeted by the the rude host who indicated reservations were necessary and they were just too busy. After asking politely what the wait time would be, he snapped back and said unless someone didn’t show, there was now way of telling. I watched him send away at least 5 different families while I looked for another place to dine that evening. It’s a shame to see all the business this restaurant could have had if the host was at the very least, pleasant. Website should say«reservations REQUIRED»

Excellent italian pizzas a bit away from the mayhem of Niagara tourist district. Great service(and they are great at up selling so you buy more as its all so yum). They have many gluten free options including gluten free pizza bases and pasta. Basic cocktails are $ 8.50 and they have some nice wines and beers as well. Try this place out.

We walked in with high expectations into Napoli restaurant on a balmy Tuesday evening in Niagara Falls. We were seated with the menu to have a look at the menu already, prior to being shown to our table. Took a bit of time but that was alright. After some ten minutes we were taken to our table. So far so good. Comes Daniel our waiter AKA the arrogant prick… I felt almost like being back in Europe in countries like Italy our France. Where the art of rude and arrogant waitering still exists in full bloomin certain restaurants. Thanks Daniel for this! Daniel perfected the art for us: he ignored us, took ages for a first drink order, disappears for 5 minutes, is ready for… nothing again. We ordered wine and made it clear WE were ready to order food. Not Daniel… he disappeared again to attend to other matters of importance to HIM. The«interesting» thing was that the other waiters to whom we asked if we could order food all said«Daniel will be with you very soon». Well, he wasn’t really. After what seemed to last like an age Daniel showed up at our table to inform in his politest voice that he was ready for us now. My wife asked if he was sure… Yes, Mr Daniel was. well, we were ready WITH him already long time before. Long story short: thanks to the behavior of one waiter(the others were actually nice and respectful) we lost our appetite quickly at Napoli. We asked the bill for the wine, explaining that we felt treated totally disrespectful. He couldn’t care less so it seemed… If no star ranking existed I’d give it.

Wonderful restaurant-plain exterior can go unnoticed among the flashy touristy chains, but very nice on the inside! Italian décor with nice calm music. Started off the meal with complimentary home made focaccia and spicy olive oil, and ordered the arancini, veal gnocchi and Lucia pizza. Very good Italian food, great find in Niagara away from all the tourists, at a great price too. The waiters were extremely attentive, helpful and nice! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants something different than the expensive steakhouses or chain stores all around town!

I was in town for a meeting and didn’t want a tourist restaurant. Napoli was recommended by another restaurant that happened to be closed that night. I can’t tell you how happy I am that they were closed. Napoli was an amazing restaurant. Everything was fresh and home made. The service was as personable and as good as the food. It reminded me of the trattorias back in Italy. If they were in New York City the prices would be double and the lines would be out the door. If you are looking for fancy and an extensive wine list this isn’t your place. if you are looking for some spectacular home cooked food and reasonable selection of affordable wines you have to eat here. If you are in the Niagara Falls area skip Olive Garden, Boston Pizza and the other chains that call themselves Italian restaurants and head straight to Napoli!

Stepping into Napoli, you really feel as though you’ve travelled to Italy. The service is great(the servers have been with the restaurant for years, and it shows), the food is fantastic. Every time I go I promise myself I’ll have dessert… but the appetizers and main courses are so delicious and filling that I’ve never been able to do anything except look at the dessert menu.(It looks fantastic.)

GREAT food. Good service. Okay dining room? Walking up to the restaurant was a little off-putting but don’t be fooled! Nothing to look at on the outside, or inside for that matter but the pasta was excellent! The calamari was fishy, but the bar tender made one of the best Caesars Ive ever had! The homemade caloni wasn’t that great but the service and wait staff were very friendly and professional!

In a town of overpriced tourist traps this place is a gem!!! No loud signs flashing to get your attention here just authentic Italian food. Going in you leave the schlokey t-shirt shops and run down old buildings and enter a relaxing classic old school Italian restaurant. Classic Jazz music is playing in a darkened room. The waiter was charming and attentive. He poured our water for us and gave a level of service most don’t in these times. The food= amazing!!! The complimentary brushetta came with spicy olive oil. So good I wanted to drink the oil instead of my tasty cabernet. We had Arancini as an appetizer. They were delicious and light tasting with fantastic fresh tasting sauce. We ordered 2 pizza’s: The Bianca and the Americano. The Bianca had pears, brie and pancetta. The Americano had pepperoni, sauce and cheese. The crust on both was thin and so flavorful. I believe this is what pizza is supposed to taste like. My picky 11 year old loved the Americano. I would have loved to try the other entrees and dessert. This place almost made me want to move to Niagara Falls, almost! And to think all those unsuspecting tourists overpaying for glorified fast food. Will return when I’m in town.

Napoli was our choice for dinner in the Niagara Falls area on a recent Mother-Daughter trip. It was a nice dinner where everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The menu isn’t broad, but the food is great. I had the veal parmesan and my mom had the bistecca. Both were large servings. The Primitivo wine was also perfect. The only reason for 4 stars is that our server was a bit condescending and it seemed a bit expensive for what it was. But we had occasion to talk to the owner, who is very nice and service-oriented. I would definitely return here and hope for something more memorable to make this a 5-star.

Delicious food. This is a great place that is just outside the tourist trap area. The food is reasonably priced, especially compared to the tourist areas. We tried the steak, pasta and pizza. They were all wonderful. They also have delicious local wines.

Perfect! That’s the world that comes to mind when I think about the meal I shared with my family here while on vacation. We wanted to avoid the Vegas-like neon restaurants that line the downtown streets and wanted a nice dining experience that is often overlooked on family road trips. Napoli was the perfect solution. Excellent food, great service, and reasonable prices, I can’t think of any way to improve our experience. Between us we had a variety of items and everyone was very pleased. Particular stand-outs were the calamari, the Ossobuco and the Orecchiette Abruzzuse. I wish I could say I’d return soon but it will likely be awhile before I’m back in town. Too bad!

Who would of guessed that even in a tourist trap town like Niagara Falls that you would find quality food? To be honest, Niagara Falls is the only place where I am actually hesitant to try indie restaurants as I have yet to have a good experience. Unfortunately, I mostly resort to chains like The Keg as they seem more predictable and reliable. Anyhow to my surprise this place is actually pretty decent. There are high highs like the beet risotto and low lows like their penne(dry and too al dente). Then you have some pretty okay stuff like seafood pasta and pizza. The food feels unpretentious, homey and rustic; it’s how Italian food should really be served. This place plays on the rustic theme perhaps a bit too much by placing bottles of wine and wine crates everywhere. I can see they are trying really hard but the combination of the lighting, tables, bar, flooring… etc. Everything is a bit dated. I would hardly call this a romantic space to bring a love one but thankfully the food delivers somewhat. The prices are approachable and I would even call it low for a tourist trap town but it’s hardly a bargain. In a town where dining options are abundant however substances is nowhere to be found, I would call this place a worthwhile visit.

Had a late night meal here. This place seemed like an older house converted to a resturant. the seating was a bit awkward as their seemed to be «other rooms» as well. I decided on the risotto and the weekly special was the beet root risotto, so thought I would give it a try. What I got was a big red«goopy» pile of rice. It wasn’t too appealing but ate it because I was hungry. The risotto lacked the rich flavor and I think the cooks used too much water for the rice. We also ended up getting desert and to my shock, the Tiramisu was some of the best I’ve ever had. You could taste the espresso, chocolaty goodness and it was amazing! I was going to give this place a two star but the Tiramisu save iT!

My father and I came from California and stopped by Niagara Falls as a part of our roadtrip. We were searching for a reasonably priced, casual dining place for our first night in Canada. We found this on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. The restaurant’s ambiance was amazing and the waiters there were very friendly and nice. The food was SO delicious that we came two nights in a row! The first night, we ordered Rucchetta salad(arugula, parmigiano, pears, lemon honey vinaigrette), Contadina pizza(tomato sauce, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, rapini, homemade sausage), and Orecchiette Abruzzese pasta(little ear pasta, rapini, homemade sausage, peperoncino). There were all so delicious and we loved it! The next day, we decided to go back to try other pasta and pizza. We got Gnocchi Toscana(escarole and beet ricotta gnocchi, parmigiano mascaropne cream sauce) and Italiana pizza(mozzarella, goat cheese, cherry tomato, arugula, roasted red peppers). Oh. My. God. Gnocchi Toscana was probably one of the best gnocchi I’ve ever had in my life(I only lived for 21 years but still…). Since everything we ordered were all so delicious, we decided to order dessert. Even though we were so full, we devoured the dessert. We ordered a featured dessert: ricotta and mascarpone cream with peach jam, topped with biscotti. This restaurant definitely made me want to come back to Canada and try other recipes on the menu. All the food we ordered was on point and gnocchi easily surpassed my already-high-expectation. The waiters here were so friendly and generous. My overall experience here was beyond amazing.

Wow, what a great find. Walked in on a Thursday night, no reservations, party of 3 at 530pm and we had to wait 40 minutes, but was it ever worth the wait. First off the owner, Anthony, needs help, this man is sitting people, serving drinks, basically he is all over the place. Its a small location, but with adding staff comes money out of his pocket so I can see why he keeps the staff low. My only suggestion is to take the table cloths off the table, he had what appeared to be beautiful marble tables. Now the food, everything appears to be homemade, nice size portions, and attentive wait staff. Fried calamari for appetizer, very soft and not overly fried – perfect Spaghetti with a side of meatballs-large portion Gnocchi with meat – large portion, excellent taste, gnocchi’s were cooked perfectly, not mushy at all Bottom line, make reservations and go hungry!!!

Having read great reviews on Unilocal, decided to have dinner at this place, during a visit to Niagara Falls — what a mistake this was. While the presentation was great, the service was not(although I will pin this on the specific waiter we had — he had some serious attitude issues, not wanting to take our order for the food, before he returns with the drinks — the other people bringing food to our table were very nice and friendly). This was not a big deal however, and we were hungry and ready to eat. The calamari were the worst I ever had anywhere, and I travel quite a bit(48 countries and counting), the pizza tasted on par with some frozen supermarket varieties, but hope was still there. Until my chicken supreme came in. Again, this is the worst chicken supreme I had anywhere, and the amount of salt dumped on it is just astounding(it’s been 24 hours, and I could still feel nausea when thinking about that meal). The table next to us were also complaining that their food is very salty, so I know its not me. My wife’s gnocchi was closer to ok than horrible, so we will try to call that a redeeming quality. Then again, considering everything I just wrote, this place was a disaster and a waste of money. Their so called kids friendliness is based on the fact that they have high chairs, and that they serve the kids on plastic plates, with plastic cups. I would call that an attempt to preserve their finer plates. When you have small children, a kids friendly place is one were food is served quickly, without this«I will bring your drinks first and only then you can order» deal — we should have gotten up and left. The place is not too cheap, so this adds insult to injury — never again.
