This restaurant is located on the 10th floor of the Crown Plaza Hotel. After checking out Niagara Falls, my buddy and I decided to get breakfast here. A quick elevator ride got us here, and our room key got us our complementary meal. The view of the falls from here is amazing. It gives a good thorough view, and is a perfect complement to your meal. The food itself is delicious. I got standard breakfast fare(check pics). The food hit the spot, and I can tell the food was quality. The service was very friendly, as the waiters were very attentive to our needs. They chatted with us a bit about our travels, and we told them about life back in LA. They told us a bit about Toronto and gave us some good insider tips. I enjoyed eating here, and will consider it if I ever come back to Niagara Falls in the near future.

Their view in front of the elevator(10th floor) is fantastic. Their breakfast is not so special too simple and expensive for $ 25/person(nice that we got hotel deal save$$$). Limited selection of(warm/hot) food, they got french toast, scramble eggs, bacon, sausage. Cold breakfast is basically cereal, Freshfruit and yogurt. I’m thinking the price they charge at least they can provide veggitable(or eggwhite) omelet. if you want orange juice need to ask the waitor to bring to you.

Fine dining with great food and service. Very romantic. Very emigrant ambiance, classy and classic. The view raises experience to new legal. The lasagna appetizer was wonderful, as was the tomato based onion soup. We had the special rib eye, the marscapone potatoes were fantastic. I would recommend them highly. Service as excellent, server had excellent recommendations for wine pairings.

Very pricy, but the food was good! Excatly what you want in a fancy italian restaurant. 3 stars because the food was not explained very well to us, and the server was nice, but not very helpful. Dinner is definitely expensive here, but very good! Breakfast on the hand, 5 stars :)

We stopped in here on our anniversary for a meal — or tried to. My poor husband got sick and we had to abandon our meal before he got a bite. How the restaurant handled this and supported us cements their deserved five-stars. Our server and the hostess were amazing. Everyone was incredibly warm and friendly. We had a discount coupon from our hotel package and our server took the time to thoroughly explain the coupon restrictions and ensure there were no surprises. He was speedy, friendly and always around when we needed him. I ordered the pan-seared scallops and they were fantastic. They were cooked spot-on and the flavour combination with the risotto rosso was lovely. The bellini I ordered was also delicious and ended up pairing nicely with the citrus flavours. My husband took ill before our meals arrived and was sick in their bathrooms. As can happen, there was a mess and he was very embarrassed. He approached the staff to apologize and they were very kind and warm. Our server immediately offered to pack his meal up, rushed over our bill to get us going, and was very sympathetic. We really appreciated that level of care and we have vowed to return under better circumstances. As for my husband’s meal(he ordered the strip steak), the bite I had night of was fantastic, albeit slightly salty for my liking. We cook low sodium at home, so your mileage may vary, Reheated the next day, it was still one of the best steaks my husband had ever had. Impressive. Do note big eaters that portions are small-ish. This dining experience is about flavour combinations. I’d go hungry, but not starving.

Great food if you have a palette for flavor and different. You can’t get just a steak and potato here. I will also add that in MY opinion. 1) not for kids, tho they do have a kids menu(children who came in after us 8−12yrs old were«poopooing» the menu) and 2) makes an awesome date night if you are looking for an elegant dining experience. They only get 4 stars because tho they sat us by a window(we were the only ones/first ones there on a Sunday night at 6:15pm), they sat me right up against a(dirty) wall. My husband and I pushed the table over so that I, too, could see the Falls.(And get way from the yucky wall) it’s the details folks. Wait staff was perfect. Manager come and spoke with us. Desserts were decadent. Not sure if I would go again, but glad I ate there once.

We were excited to come here. Service was good. We’re vegetarians and didn’t want any of the vegetarian meals because of the feta or sheep cheeses that they couldn’t modify. They made us pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables, which was okay, not great. And charged us $ 28 each for those meals, which I think is ridiculously overpriced.

The food is good as long as you know Medium really means well. The cock tails might have Bugs, the Whisky Sour might just be a cup of lemon juice. And don’t dare send a wrong drink back because the bar tender will make your next drink with the hostility you’ll feel through the cup as well as announce it to the whole establishment. Matt our server was a really nice guy, and attentive to our table. He did a great job! Over all not a good Valentines day dinner and the poorest since we have been here. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic! Try the Salmon entrée and the seafood bowl, the Goat cheese dessert was surprisingly very good as well. Incredible!

Very rude servers. Went there at 5:30 for early dinner. Restaurant was empty. Gave us a table at the corner with limited fall view. When we asked them to change our table the server asked: and the reason is? Then she said all other seats are booked! When no one was at the restaurant. We decided to leave and she said on the way out«good luck finding a better place»

The food is exquisite, amazing flavors. the service is phenomenal. I loved the Espresso crème brûlée. The views are stunning, one the best Xmas dining experience. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. If your in Niagara you gotta stop by The Rainbow Room.

Mmmm I enjoyed the meal here. The views by the window seats looking out to the Falls is spectacular. The food is very tasty. I loved the house bread with roasted red pepper hummus and the eggplant hummus. I could probably eat that alone and be satisfied. We had the lamb and the duck confit with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. Was not disappointed. Although, I wouldn’t have expected any less. Overall great meal for a special trip =)

Food was not that impressive, all come out too salty including appetizers. We ordered fried artichoke which was very salty and greasy. Beef tenderloin was ok, gnocchi that comes with it is bit disappointing. Halibut was ok, bit salty though, covered shrimp that came along was good. very overpriced i should say. The view of falls are ok, they are at the corner end just above rainbow bridge which is not the greatest view if you already have great view of the falls from your room.

I read several reviews about this restaurant before trying it out. Some of the reviews were negative. I’m sure glad I didn’t let the negative reviews dissuade me from going because the food and service were both fabulous. May have been the best steak I’ve ever had, which says a lot because I am from Alberta and have had a lot of good steaks! My steak came paired with gnocchi, roasted vegetables and au jus, delicious. When I return to Niagara Falls, I will eat there again. Highly recommended!

The view of the falls is spectacular and the atmosphere welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive right from the hostess to our waiter. We decided to skip appetizers and went straight into the meal. The table bread was warm and felt freshly baked, and i liked the spreads but wish they offered butter for those who didn’t want it. We ordered the Linguini, which my husband devoured. I had the lamb which was tender and cooked to perfection and came with delicious potatoes and beets with a reduction sauce. The desserts were original and decadent. We split the cheesecake and apple something and enjoyed every piece. Would go here again and again.

En route to Michigan to bring my daughter to school we decided on a route through Canada to see falls. We also decided on giving her a first time fine dining experience. This was a wonderful experience. She loved and thoroughly appreciated the experience and the food. We had ice wine, apps and chicken, halibut and pasta dinners as well as desserts. The eggplant and chickpea spreads with breads were a refreshing change from bread and butter/olive oil. Our waiter was helpful, attentive, and friendly. The only draw back I would see is they are overpriced. The view is amazing as well as the food but we have had food just as well prepared for less.

We had dinner. The view was nice, but the food was bad and seriously overpriced. First, we ordered cocktails. My girlfriend got a Slowly I Turned, which was sweet and bruised, and I ordered the Casino Cocktail, which was bruised so badly I couldn’t taste the gin. $ 9.95 ea. After having terrible cocktails, we should have gotten up and left and cut our losses, but we pressed on and skipped the appetizers and went for the entrees. My girlfriend ordered the Chilean sea bass, and it was terrible: the fish was on its way out, not to mention overcooked, bland, and the pistachio crust was bitter. The bed of bell peppers, zucchini and quinoa was cheap and ruined the flavor of the meal even more. None of the food on the plate went together. $ 44. I ordered the Special of the Day, which was roasted boar in a ju, with scallops and pickled vegetables. I didn’t think the scallops were bad, but they weren’t fresh, and they were overcooked. They also didn’t pair well, since the pork was very sweet, the pickles were sweet, and the flavors didn’t harmonize, just mush together. Overall, not terrible, but for the price, it was a rip-off. $ 40. The only real edible thing was their bread, a focaccia which had a firm crust and a fluffy interior… which they paired with a roster pepper spread and an eggplant spread. These sucked and also paired terribly on the bread. They may have been better paired with a flat toasted bread or cracker. My girlfriend ordered balsamic and vinegar to dip the bread in, which was genius, because they use an aged balsamic reduction that was very good. Free! We also weren’t getting any water refills. Please don’t go here, it’s a tourist trap, especially for the price. The décor was outdated, and it may have cared at one time, but the menu and the look of this place need TLC and a SERIOUS update.

If you’re thinking true fine dining, then you may wish to book elsewhere. For the price that will only buy us lunch at the CN Tower revolving resto, we’re enjoying a Thanksgiving feast with a superb view of the falls. The 3 course Thanksgiving dinner is just $ 52 per person. The portions are huge! I’d go easy on the bread served with 2 kinds of hummus spreads! Service is amazing! The view is breath-taking. Make sure you specify your preference for a window table. They’ll do their best to honor it. If you’re staying at Sheraton or Crowne Plaza, check for promo packages that include dining credits!

On a recent trip to Niagara Falls, my boyfriend and I visited chef Massimo Capra’s Rainbow Room restaurant at the top of the Crowne Plaza hotel(we were guests of the hotel too). The experience was incredible, as we had a great view of Niagara Falls during sunset. The food was also quite amazing. Not the best ever, but quite impressive. Massimo Capra is certainly a culinary genius. And we were quite amused by all the videos of him(on the hotel room and lobby TVs) dancing and prancing as he prepared the foods in the commercials. We also got a $ 40 discount because we were hotel guests(note — they don’t process the discount until you check out; you still have to pay full price during the meal). For our meal, we ordered: –Lobster Bruschetta for our appetizer(East coast lobster, heirloom cherry tomatoes and Buffalo mozzarella, basil seedlings). This was incredible! It tasted just as good as it sounds. –10 oz New York Strip Loin(Crispy fingerlings, heirloom vegetables, pancetta and king oyster mushroom«Cappucino»). We both got this and it was very delicious. I don’t even like mushrooms and enjoyed the mushrooms in this entrée. Very perfect sauce too! For drinks, I ordered the«Marilyn Monroe»(cocktail of sparkling wine, Calvados and a dash of their house-made grenadine). This was a perfect cocktail — very refreshing and delicious. Marilyn Monroe had stayed at the Crowne Plaza when filming the movie«Niagara,» so this was her namesake. I also ordered a Bellini(classic Italian cocktail of sparkling wine and peach nectar), which was also very delicious. My boyfriend ordered more manly drinks, including the Churchill(blend of vodka, Cointreau, sweet vermouth and lime juice) and the Capra(blend of vodka, dry vermouth, juniper and mandarin juice). Everything was great — service was good, the food was delicious, and the view was seriously incredible. I highly recommend dining here for dinner for a great experience and view of the Falls!

Went for dinner at the Rainbow Room as we were staying at the hotel. Aside from the convenience, I was also looking forward to the view of the Falls based on pictures they have on their site. I have seen Massimo Capra on TV a few times. The man has big personality and I wanted to see how that would translate into his food. We were seated by a window with a nice view of the Falls. We were given some toasted chickpeas to munch on which wasn’t too bad, but not the easiest to eat elegantly if you are on a date! Our cheerful waitress came by to greet us, offered us some water and to let us know the specials. Nice warm bread was brought to the table afterwards along with two different types of house made spreads. We settled on trying the Lobster Bruschetta to start. It was pretty light and refreshing tasting. I ordered the Lamb and my girlfriend ordered a duck dish which was one of their dinner specials for the night. Both dishes have very strong flavoured sauces which transferred to the sides but didn’t necessarily to the flavouring of the proteins. The sauces were tasty, so it would have been nice if the meats soaked up some of it without having to lather it on ourselves. We were unfortunately both too full to try their desserts. Good experience overall. Can’t beat the view, service was good, and the food was decent.
