We were looking to avoid the touristy are a of Niagara for supper. We came accross that little asian restaurant and decided to give it a try. What a great idea! For the really low price of 9 $, i had a a tasty won-ton soupe and 1 egg roll for entrée. As the main meal, I had 3 sweet ans sour chicken fried meatballs, and brocoli and beef. All of this very tasty. Portions were big, i couldnt finish my plate. On the top of that, the lady serving US was kind and funny. Service was fast too. If you are looking for a low-price«chinese-canadian» restaurant, with friendly service, this is your place!

6÷28÷15: Pretty horrible supposedly authentic Chinese food. Despite the word«Shanghai» in the name, according to my gf whose family lives in Shanghai, there’s nothing Shanghainese about the food. I wouldn’t know the difference between the various subcategories, but I can tell you this ain’t good Chinese. 1. Wanton Soup Shanghai Style(Small) C$ 5.50: It appears that they used frozen wontons(according to my gf the cook), which were okay but not great. The bok choy was fresh. The chashu was probably not made in-house either, probably outsourced. Anyway, it’s edible. 4⁄10. 2. Dry Beef Shahofun(Wide Rice Noodle) C$ 9.25: THEWORST chowfun I’ve ever had. Hell, even the time I screwed up making the stuff at home, not separating the individual strands properly prior to pan frying, even my own screwed up version was better! The noodles were completely broken all over the place, as if they placed all of them in the blender. And not only that, they were mushy. Just a pile of crap. Amazingly bad. 1⁄10 3. Seafood with Chinese Green C$ 13.50: Something was wrong here. Either the seafood was left out too long after defrosting, or were already rotten before freezing. Veggies were alright. ‘Nuff said. 1⁄10 To be avoided at all costs. 1⁄5 #canada #chinese #shanghainese

Great people, but food and service all sucked. The food took half an hour to arrive one at a time. The rice coming out after all the dishes. Frign hot sauce lid was not screwed on properly and spiked all over me.

I was entertaining out of town guests yesterday and took them to the Falls. While searching for something outside the touristy area to eat in, we happened on this little Chinese restaurant storefront. Décor was minimal and the place was not busy, but we had an extremely pleasant dining experience. The food is Chinese Canadian with some authentic Shanghainese dishes. Shanghai wonton soup with greens and excellenlty flavoured wonton was a winner as were beef with green onions and ginger and spicy garlic shrimp. The server, who we took to be the owner, is a very lovely and accommodating lady who seemed to know most of her local clientele by name. She is also a great bartender and made me a really mean zombie. This is a nice little place to escape tourist trap Clifton Hill, has easy street parking and the prices are extremely modest.
