Always willing to support a family members endeavours. My cousin and I attended a fundraiser held by this establishment tonight. If I had to describe it in three words it would be: Canada attempts Mexican. Overall, it was really good(speaking as a Canadian who doesn’t like spicy food). This bright and sunny outside away from the downtown attractions makes this an ideal spot if you are looking to get away from all the tourists! Their Margaritas are amazing and sizeable(1.5oz)! Both my cousin and I indulged in their peach one and loved it. We were offered a preset menu. Starting out with warm chips and homemade salsa, it was divine! The salsa was chunky and very mild. My main was chicken enchiladas with three different ‘non-spicy’ sauces. One did have a kick and washing it down with margarita created a very confused brain(water would have probably been a better way to wash down the spice). Otherwise the entrée was delicious and I easily ate it all. Dessert was the deep fried ice cream which was good, the ice cream had melted slightly but this was a minor thing in what was otherwise splendid meal. Servers were friendly and attentive. As we were at a fundraiser I can’t comment on the regular atmosphere but overall it was a fun night! And I would definitely return in the future!

Went here for dinner late on a Friday night and we found it to be hit or miss. We got jalapeño poppers to start and they seemed like frozen processed ones. I was nervous. The main courses were really good, fresh ingredients and full of flavour. We had the stuffed poblano pepper and flautas. Would definitely order both again. Our main courses were so good that we decided to try mojitos after. It was disgusting. Salty, acidic like a pre-mixed mojito powder that was way too concentrated and served with rotten(seriously) mint leaves in the drink. We should have sent it back immediately but we were nervous and tried some. We both became nauseous after one sip. The waitress was understanding and took them off our bill. We also had churros for dessert and they were tasty but not mind-blowing. I would eat here again, but next time I’ll be very careful about what I order.

Great service and nice tequila selection. Chicken chimichanga was very good. Definitely worth going to if you’re tired of the tourist traps.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants I have ever visited in Niagara Falls! My husband and I were greeted with a very warm welcome by the bartender who seemed to be running both the bar and tables, but had impeccable timing and was always smiling. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and different drinks. He assured us that nothing on the menu was spicy, but that they include a hot sauce on the side. The restaurant menu has fantastic specials from Monday through Thursday. We were fortunate to dine in on taco & tequila Tuesday, which boasts $ 3 tacos and $ 5 shots of premium tequila. We each ordered tacos, tequila, margaritas, and nachos to share. We were not disappointed! The food ingredients were extremely fresh and authentic! Not spicy at all, but full of flavor. We did use a little bit of the hot sauce, which provided a spicy, tasty, quick burn. The bartender continued to visit with us throughout our dining and made sure that we were happy with everything(which we were). We will definitely be back. If not in this same trip, next time we are in town!

I was desperate for some Mexican food so much that we were looking for a Mexican place the moment we crossed the border. Luckily it was right next to our hotel and was still open. We went on a Monday evening and it was near empty, but the waiter was extremely nice. I got a burrito flojo, which is their interpretation of a burrito along with a side salad, guacamole, and sour cream. I do not expect a burrito to be authentic this far away from the southern US border, but for what it’s worth, it tasted great. The salad was really sweet, which confused and infuriated me. Not used to having a salad with dressing already applied, if that’s the case. Overall, I would come here again if I was a local. Mostly due to the fact that Mexican food will never be what I expect it to be anywhere beyond Mexico and the immediate area(SoCal, Texas, etc.).

I got to say, each to his own but I thought the food was just nasty. Service was good but I really couldn’t tell what I was eating.

Probably should change your hours. They were clearly not open at 3 today. We even checked the website and both said 3pm. Traveling over the border specifically for this place. Won’t be back.

I am surprised this place has a low rating! Considering Niagara Falls as a touristy city this place has better food than other places we ate during our stay. We had lunch and everyone loved their meals! For Vegetarian they have a huge selection. Plus their beans and rice are vegetarian.

Was here visiting Niagara Falls from the USA… glad we found this place… its a real gem. We were lucky and found it on a tuesday where they have«taco tuesdays» with $ 3 tacos and $ 5 tequila shots. The kids loved the tacos. I got the steak fajitas and they were just awesome. for desert we got the benuelo, which was a great finish to a great dinner… I would defiinitely go back here and would definitely recommend this to a friend. Oh and a little tip, if you are from USA always pay in canadian currency… your credit card will convert money and give you a better rate than the merchants company conversion.

Went here on a sat evening and were surprised it was relatively empty. Although as we found out, we were early it starts getting full around 8PM. They have a separate bar/lounge area, and a large seating restaurant on the other side. They also play great salsa and latin music! Finally we found a spanish place in niagara! Lol Had a mango frozen marg and it was delicious! Had a steak quesadilla, and the taco bowl salad. Everything was good! If I have to complain, the guac was not great for a mexican place. We had almost ordered it as an app but glad we didn’t, it comes with the quesadilla. Definitely go here! Good food, good drinks, and good ambiance!

I was wandering the crazy, touristy areas of Niagara Falls when my family decided we were hungry. Tacos & Tequila really stood out to me on the street so I went in and I’m glad I did. I got the Crispy Shell Tacos and got a glass of Sangria. Everything was excellent. I highly reccommend the Sangria on a hot day, it’s a very light, refreshing drink and the tacos are stuffed. The tacos came with rice and black beans which I wanted to add to the tacos but there was no room. My dad got the fajitas which were just some soft shell tacos with a bunch of stir fry ingredients. Definitely the best smelling meal of the night. I will definitely be back and when my American friends come to visit this is going to be the place I show them to eat after I show them the touristy part of town.

First time here, but if ever back in Niagara Falls, will definitely visit again. Was here on Canada day, walked in with no reservations and was served immediately. Had a live band playing on one side of the bar and it created a fun authentic vibe. Try the Mexican beer, Negra Modella. It’s a dark Amber beer, but amazing with the squeeze of a lime. We were a big party so we were able to try a lot of things, and surprisingly everything we had was really good. All entrees served with refried beans(yum!) and rice(lots of flavour) as well as their home made hot sauce on the side(surprisingly spicy but full of flavour) Pollo de sol– chicken with cheese and salsa, Crispy tacos– hard shell with ground beef, classic taco but really yummy Chimichanga — excellent Mucho nachos– huge portion! Taquitos– beef or steak were really good. All round, excellent service, excellent food, decently priced. Definitely recommend!

After walking into this, a bit sad, place, we were surprised about the food in a positive way. It was actually good, the place itself not so much. Big, but kinda cold and weird atmosphere, even though there was«authentic» Mexican music. Not sure how to describe it. Just not a place were you wanna hang out for more than one margarita…

Stopped by yesterday for lunch while my wife and I were in Niagara. As both of us did not want crappy chain restaurant food while in Clifton Hills. We were on Ferry Street stopped in and had exactly what we needed. A good Mexican meal my wife had the fish tacos, while I had the chicken Mexican tacos. Both plates were three large tacos with rice and beans. The food was great, My mojito was refreshing. If you want Mexican while in Niagara stop here. It is a small place but well worth checking out.

The burrito was delicious and fresh. The Hot sauce was tasty and the service was fast and friendly. When we got there we asked some girls who were eating at the bar if it was good and they both, mouths stuffed, gave the double thumbs up!

This was my first time coming to this restaurant, and I really don’t think I’ll be coming again. Yes, the waitress was very kind and helpful and the food came quickly, but I didn’t feel that the restaurant had a lot to offer. When I first walked in, it seemed very cold and too much like a Cantina. The music that was playing wasn’t helping it at all either(some sort of latino rap — that I don’t like, but that’s all up to personal taste). The whole place had waaaaay too much open space, and not enough tables to fill it at up. But, it was very clean and neat. Moving on to the food, as a starter, I had a WONDERFUL chicken and rice soup, which I liked the most out of my whole meal. For my main dish, I got Pollo del Sol. The chicken was very moist, but fairly tasteless. The whole dish was fairly plain and was just ok. Nothing special. I was extremely dissapointed in the«deep fried» ice cream. First of all, the ice cream wasn’t even deep fried. It was just rolled around in corn flakes and smothered in warm honey and cinnamon. As my mother described it: «the chef cheated». My mother had the Flauta dish. Again, it was just ok. Overall, I was dissapointed. Being from Toronto, I’m really used to walking into Cantina-style Mexican restaurants and getting amazing food and amazing service. I was hoping this place would be just as good. Unfortunately, it did not follow up to my standards. As well, the prices were too high for the quality. Our main dishes were around $ 16, but they weren’t worth more than $ 10 – 12. But, I guess that I’m paying for the location and the name of the city along with the food.

I very very rarely walk out of a place — I honestly can’t remember having to do it before here. To start, we parked behind the restaurant because there was a public parking sign out front of the restaurant that pointed to the back. As we were walking in, the restaurant owner from the place next door, approached us and told us to move our car because that was his parking. We all went in the bar and stood waiting to order a drink for about 15 minutes. Yes, it was busy but not abnormally busy. Bartender came and took our order(we ordered the $ 2045 oz margarita to share) and she went on to the next guy and took his order. She then proceeded to fill his order(skipping over us). When asking«why?» — we were told«He has been here longer»(meaning he has already had a couple drinks) WHAT?! Who does that? We figured they didn’t want our business so we left. I can’t say I wasn’t warned — the reviews here told me not to go. But it was Cinco de mayo and we did a Mexican Restaurant/Bar Crawl and there’s limited options in the St Catherine’s/Niagara Falls area of Canada. OOOO, also — they locked the doors at 9:00(we walked in at 8:55 and had to open the door to allow the rest of our party in). Not sure why that happened. At 10:00 they were starting to charge a cover for Cinco De Mayo party so perhaps they locked up at 9. But come on, when you say you are open — stay open!
