I was looking for a non-gimmicky non-typical restaurant type because most people I find eat around the Clifton area. Not that there’s anything wrong with those places, but it is either a) pricey or generic b) tourist trap. So I did a mini research and came upon this seafood joint right here boasting of everything seafood. And you guys have to know, I am in love and am such a sucker for anything seafood. The restaurant was located in a plaza like area, and offered daily specials on the board and their… OYSTERTYPES! I love oysters raw. I used to eat them cooked growing up, but raw oysters just do it for me I am not sure why. Anyhow, because of my deep passion for oysters, we ordered a dozen of the french kiss ones which are generally the larger shaped oysters. We also ordered a cup of the seafood chowder. It was really rich, heavy, and plentiful of different seafood(scallop, crab etc) I wished I ordered a bowl instead of the cup because once I ate it? Awesome. I really recommend all seafood lovers heading to Niagara to check out this restaurant. Definitely had a good experience overall.

Great Find!!! This was a highly rated non chain restaurant. Being a small place make sure to make a reservation. Service was wonderful and the staff recommendations were spot on!!! The Kat clam chowder was to die for!!! My short Rob appetizer was NOT enough. I wanted more!!! I will be back on my next trip!

Loved all the food here! It’s a very nice oyster bar, very cozy. The Buffalo oyster was impressive even my mother in law liked it(she does not eat oyster as they sometimes are too fishy tasting)! And the clam chowder was creamy and very tasty! The lobster tail mushroom risotto was excellent! Wonderful! our family had a very pleasant experience here. Will definitely come back…

DON’T MISSTHISPLACE! the white wine mussels — to die for! the fresh oyster — to die for! the amazing service they provide — to die for! this is a very small restaurant. we sat near the bar so that we got the chance to see how our oysters were prepared. the atmosphere is so great! if you want to get non-alcoholic drink, try the ginger ale! they made the ginger ale themselves and even if i don’t like ginger that much, i love this drink! the price is really okay. I don’t think it is pricey compared to other restaurants. We got 12 oysters(raw) tonight and it costs about $ 50. they also have cooked oysters! me and my family really enjoyed ourselves tonight. i will definitely come back and visit again!

What a great experience! Little hidden gem. We were very fortunate to find this place through, ofcourse Unilocal!on one of our regular visits to Niagara, we were looking to try something new and special. When in the mood for a cozy meal or really fresh seafood this is a great place. At first impression the restaurant seems very small with maybe 4 tables and some seating around the bar! We were created by the young man behind the bar and seated, he told us about their menu, special of the day, and some discussion about all the oysters they had to chose from… We decided to go with a sample of them ALL! They offered in house sauces which here good and the hot sauce was HOOOT! The main meals were cooked to perfection ! We also ordered the ginger Ale… Not just any regular kind though… They make their own! It’s definitely something very different! We recommend you give it a try… IF you like the actual taste of finger :). Great Little find! Check it out when in town Cheers!

This place is a short drive from the main part of Niagara. It’s pretty small so I would make a reservation just to be safe. The food was okay but I found the portions very small for the price. Wanted to try it because of the reviews but don’t think I would go back on my next trip up to the falls.

Hands down the best food we had while we where here. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable of there menu. The pork tenderloin I had was wonderful and it was topped with a black lager bbq sauce which made for the perfect sauce. Before you get out of there make sure you try the maple pudding. It was so good I can’t wait to go back just for it.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while touring in Niagara-just a few minutes drive from white water walk-so yes, we were very casually attired. Rarely do I find a restaurant that has it all, delicious appetizers, fantastic meal and a dessert to die for, but this unexpected gem does. Add to that a warm, quickly accommodating waitress and you have a superior meal.(Place filled quickly and food was a bit slow, but management sent an excellent whitefish pâté to tide us over.) All our food was wonderful, but of particular note was the tasty homemade cocktail sauce that accompanied my shrimp and the homemade scotch bonnet pepper sauce(I may never enjoy my Franks’s buffalo sauce again.) Along with a dozen delicious oysters served up with fresh horseradish, we ordered oysters baked with garlic and cheese off the specials board. A fish chowder that puts Boston to shame, creole swordfish and grilled lobster with a very satisfying flavorful risotto rounded out the meal. Almost afraid to order a dessert that could ruin our wonderful meal, we were feeling adventurous and it paid off. The warm maple pudding truly melts in your mouth. Tastes like heaven. A perfect meal.

Went here last night for a special dinner. Was not disappointed. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was OUTOFTHISWORLD. I lived on PEI for some time, and this seafood was on par. We shared oysters and mussels for appetizers, and each had the mushroom risotto with lobster tail entrée. We also had some local beer on tap to go with it. We had a wonderful evening. I’d highly recommend this to any seafood lovers heading to the Niagara region.

So impressed with this place. Was in Niagara for a birthday and stopped here for lunch. What a find! The brewery is awesome. I had their Black Lager which was well balanced a great beer the pair with food. For lunch I had the fish taco. Also tried the watermelon pickles. Both excellent. The fish was moist and the veg crispy. The pickles were a fun side that I have never had before. I really hope I start seeing more of their beers on tap in Toronto.

We’ve had their food three times. The first time was a couple years ago when we were visiting. But on our most recent trip, we got their food twice at Silversmith brewery and both times it was awesome. My wife loves the fresh raw oysters. I got the blackened cod sandwich, and it was melt-in-your-mouth good. It was perfectly seasoned and came with a garlic aioli that was so good my wife ate what I didn’t use with her fingers! The baked clams were good too.

A mobile seafood«restaurant»! Tide and Vine not only serves freshly shucked oysters but if you are in the mood for cooked seafood, you won’t be disappointed. BBQ Oysters(topped w/chili, garlic, parsley, parmeson & calabrese), Lobster Rolls w/peach & Pecan Slaw), Steamed Mussels(steamed in Silversmith Bavarian Breakfast wheat with pear, fennell and blue cheese) prepared freshly from the stove and BBQ set up underneath a tent. Only 6 delicious Malpeques($ 2.75 each) to share… I want to have them all for myself. Maybe next time? I now have to chase a Oystermobile through their twitter feed. I love oysters!

Langley took less than 2 minutes(One minute, 37 seconds*). He shucked my virgin buddy raw and now my buddy loves it. He couldn’t give enough praise for that little salty slimey meat. Good times came from the back of the 1974 Volkswagen van. Good shuck in Galway! *Canadian Oyster Shucking championship in Prince Edward Island 1 minute, 37 seconds to shuck 18 oysters. 18 secs of penalty time

These guys are great! Sweet couple serves up fresh and innovative seafood dishes under a tent with a grill. My stew(see pic) was fabulous and my friend was a huge fan of the lobster roll that she ordered. Don’t miss checking them out any time you can, and especially at Pillitari winery where you can sit on the covered patio and enjoy a glass of wine, perfectly paired with your seafood selection!
