I use to love this restaurant as a kid. I ate at many in different countries so when I spotted it while heading towards the falls I told my hubby we just had to eat here especially because he never tried it. One of the givens with Tony Roma’s is the very well seasoned ribs. We were seated very quickly which was surprising to see that it wasn’t busy at all. We ordered the half rack of ribs with fries. When the food came the sauce and seasoning tasted very bland, Fries were soggy,. Seemed like they might have used to much oil. Service was good but other than that my hubby just looked at me like you hyped me up for this??. Place is just not what I remember it to be but that doesn’t mean you won’t like it. If you’re someone who prefers high quality flavourful seasoned meat this is not the place for you.

Came here at 8pm on a Friday night, there were about 6 people in the restaurant total. We were turned away because the kitchen was on a «hold» because they were expecting 2 big groups– there were only 2 of us in our party. Seriously pathetic.

We went for dinner: My boyfriend, my son(12 yrs) and myself. It was near our hotel and had decent reviews. We were scared at 1st because it seemed alittle slow. But the service was phenomenal! The staff really interacted with us and gave us ideas of places to go since we were tourists. Then the drinks came, AHHHHH-mazing! Not too strong and not weak at all just right and tasty! Then the food, I can still taste it til this day! Everything was made to perfection! As we sat longer we started to realize more people were coming in. We were dining on a friday night after arriving in Niagara. By the time we left we realized this must be the spot that people come to a tad later on a friday, and where most of the people know eachother. I’m from Boston so I’ll compare it to a kid friendly, modern day CHEERS. If ever in the area again I will definitely come back to Tony Romas as well as recommend to anyone else in the area!

We were in Niagara Falls and decided to try Tony Roma’s — big mistake. Worst service I have had anywhere — and I eat out most nights. The host made us stand there for awhile before acknowledging us and he finally seated us — we should have known from that experience and left. The waitress came over and was nice enough initially and we ordered immediately as we were hungry. The place was less than half full and we ordered salads. The waitress didn’t come near us again until we had to flag her down to get the check but the worst part of it was waiting 45 minutes for 2 salads and a flat bread which was disgusting, dry and tasteless. There was no apology for it taking so long and we were pretty much ignored the whole time we were there of course until the waitress brought us the check as she attempted to be nice to get a good tip. I was determined not to give her anything but caved and gave 10% although she really didn’t deserve that. I filled out the comment card which I’m sure the host probably threw out once we left. I will not be visiting another Tony Roma’s again — the food was crap and the service even worse.

The only good thing about this restaurant is that the staff are super attentive and friendly. The food, on the other hand is flavorless and bland. We came here for lunch and ordered the shrimp pasta, riblets, French onion soup, calamari and spinach artichoke dip. The chips were stale, the calamari was underdone, the fries weren’t golden brown, the pasta needed salt.

This location is in our hotel, but we almost didn’t eat here because of the reviews. When we got there the place was almost full and had reached capacity by the time we left. I hadn’t noticed because our waitress was very attentive and our food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. I had the ribs and steak medallions and my daughter had the chicken pesto and we were extremely pleased. When our food was delivered I was asked to taste my steak to ensure that it was cooked to my liking. Enjoying this lovely meal was the highlight of our rainy day!

Pros: — We were seated immediately on a Monday afternoon due to being the only ones there. — The ice water was cold. Cons: — Slow service despite an empty restaurant — Got the riblets and burger. The riblets may as well have been from the stuffed pig in Winnie the Pooh, they were that dry. The burger patty looked like how McDonalds burgers looked before they got in trouble from that one documentary. You should go if: you have no tongue.

Had breakfast buffet — nothing special — you can make better breakfast at home. Just toast, pancake, self-served waffle, canned fruit, banana, apple, scramble egg, bacon, and that’s it. They don’t even have a cup of green tea. Everything is canned or super cheap. Only thing good is the nice server.

Service was slow. Our appetizers took we twenty minutes to come. The ribs were good but I prefer tgif better. They do have good bread need to work on the sauces. They were famous for their onion rings but it has changed. Price was average

Our family usually loves Tony Roma’s but the food at this location was mediocre at best and had very poor service.

Late lunch after long drive from DMV. Had the Fish n Chips and the haddock was great, portion and taste. My date had the Riblings with Veggies and the meat was simply falling off the bone. Service was a bit slow probably because it was a dead hour at 2:30pm and staff has scaled down. Our server was very friendly and hospitable. A good option when in NF

Amazing. The food was amazing. The staff was very inviting. We were greeted by Sarah, Kayla and Jason?(I’m terrible with names, forgive me) equally which is a nice change of pace. They weren’t terribly busy but the staff didn’t seem bored or lazy. They were personable, knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggeations. I’ve never been to a Tony Roma’s before but I’ll be sure to keep them in mind in the future.

Breakfast buffet on the weekends was simple, inexpensive and very good. We stayed at the Ramada Inn and this was adjacent. You got coupons, breakfast was hot, service was excellent and they were able to serve large crowds. We were in town for Christmas displays at the falls. This was one of the best buffets. They had eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles& pancakes. I’d eat breakfast here again.

We ate here last night. Very disappointed. Very noisy, atmosphere was less than inviting. Server stand-offish. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries. Food came out cold. They would not cook my burger medium, so it was well done and dried out. Absolutely no flavor. They also took it upon themselves to dress my burger with onion, lettuce, and tomato which made the bun soggy. Hubby had the ribs which were cold and dry. Too bad we wasted our first nite at this restaurant.

Don’t eat breakfast here. It’s awful. If you are staying in the Radisson Falls View, you will be tempted because it’s convenient but don’t do it. The breakfast buffet is filled with canned fruit, powered eggs, and microwaved meats. The waffle station and cereal bar are adequate but don’t make up for the poor quality of everything else, service included.

We has breakfast at Tony Roma’s, despite lackluster reviews. We should have listened to the reviews! The buffet was scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, pancakes and make your own waffles. The eggs were incredibly bland, the sausage and bacon were both fine, pancakes and waffles fine. There was NO fresh fruit at all. Canned pineapple, canned peaches and canned mandarin oranges. All in heavy syrup, all disappointing. I am not sure why they didn’t have a real apple or banana or a few measly berries, but it was really disappointing. We were also surprised to see the bread offerings as just a Texas toast thick sliced style white bread. Not a rye, wheat or whole grain in sight. No pastry, no muffin, no croissant. All in all, a very anemic offering of the most basic of foods, mostly lacking flavor. In addition, my mother in law has severe food allergies and asked some questions and had a really hard time determining what she could eat, and since all the food was processed, it was risky. We asked our server for eggs prepared with no dairy and she said the eggs come in bagged, pre mixed. We pushed a bit, even suggested leaving and mentioned that we were sure they had real eggs somewhere, and she eventually brought scrambled eggs for my mother in law. We eat out very often and rarely if ever encounter less than a stellar response from chefs and servers regarding allergies, so we were shocked at her lack of concern or even training in how to handle allergies. The overall service was good, but I wish we had just eaten breakfast next door at the Marriott.

Not bad, not great. We had breakfast here one morning because we were staying at the Radisson and had a voucher for it. Nice selection of hot foods and I was pleasantly surprised by the 2nd scrambled egg option with peppers. I would say it’s one small step above a normal chain hotel breakfast because of the decent selection that included some fresh fruit and healthy options, and also great service with constant coffee refills. I probably wouldn’t have done dinner here because the menu seemed similar to an Applebees-type place, just with nicer décor and higher prices.

On our first night in Niagara Falls, the boyfriend and I decided that we would check out Tony Roma’s. This one is located right in between the two Marriotts and a few other hotels. I decided to make a reservation since it was a Friday night but by the time we arrived at 6:30, it was pretty empty. I gathered from the online menu that Tony Roma’s is known for their ribs so ribs it was! However, i had spotted this onion loaf thing on the menu and that was it — we were getting it. I have a thing for onion strings — put them on anything and I’ll eat it. So I was hoping this would be similar. We ended up getting a half order, which was pretty large in size(if you have more than two people, you could probably get a full size one but we didn’t quite finish the one we had. We both ordered ribs, I got the St. Louis Ribs with the Blue Ridge Smokies sauce on recommendation from our server and fries and coleslaw on the side. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we both ended up getting some drinks, a Pina Colada for me and a beer for my boyfriend. Unfortunately after a few sips of my then delicious Pina Colada, I found a hair that clearly wasn’t mine in my glass. Our server was good about it and offered to take it off the bill or get me another one and I took another, but it still put a damper on my enjoyment of the meal.(the second one was hairless: P) Our onion loaf came out and we dug in and shortly thereafter bread was delivered to the table. Too much food! We started in on the onion loaf and it just fell flat for me. Onions in some kind of batter with little to no flavor and bbq sauce for dipping. I really couldn’t make the connection between bbq sauce and onion loaf… it just didn’t go together, but the onion loaf was better WITH the sauce then without so I kept munching. The bread was tasty but considering how much food we had coming, we barely touched it. Our food arrived and we were both pretty stoked, good looking FULL plates. Another chain that has massive portions. If I’d known how big it would be, I would have picked a smaller portion size, like a half rack or something if they had it. Again, unfortunately, i was disappointed. My ribs weren’t fall off the bone and tender like they should have been. Strangely, one half was more fall off the bone than the other(like split the rack in half horizontally, and the top half was tender and the bottom half wasn’t). The sauce was kind of blah, I wasn’t really a fan and should have picked something else. The fries and coleslaw were what you would expect but for a meal that ended up being pretty expensive, I was not impressed. The service here was good, attentive enough but not overbearing, but the food just fell so flat for me that I wouldn’t come back. I’ve had better ribs at other chain restaurants and I make better ribs myself, so for a dinner that was almost $ 100 it was not worth it. I’d skip Tony Roma’s and go somewhere else next time. Definitely not worth the price for what you get!
