I had never heard of this restaurant until I purchased a Groupon this past spring. The groupon was only $ 36, which included two entrees(up to $ 30) and one appetizer(up to $ 12). So a $ 72 value at half the cost sounded good, and I hadn’t ventured up to Canada lately. We wanted to make sure we came on a night when the weather was clear, since the restaurant is located in the Tower Hotel on the 26th floor providing panoramic views of Niagara Falls. The overall décor of the hotel and restaurant was impressive. It reminded me of one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at; a boutique hotel in Boston. Nothing was cookie cutter; everything was decorated very uniquely. Our waitress also informed us that the restaurant was featured on «Restaurant Makeover». The service: Excellent. Our waitress was kind, friendly, informative, attentive, and just pleasant to be around while dining in a peaceful, romantic, calm setting. She came around enough, but not too much. She always showed up at just the right moment to pour another glass of wine or take away our plates. She offered us history on the hotel and restaurant. She also offered to take plenty of pictures of us to capture the view in the background. 5 star service. The food: We ordered a tasty bottle of chardonnay($ 32). For our appetizer we decided on the calamari($ 12). It was accompanied with a chipotle mayo sauce and a side of greens with a vinaigrette dressing. The calamari looked more like onion rings upon their arrival(see picture). However after tasting, it was indeed calamari… in a slightly soggy, non-crispy panko. Had it been a little crispier, it would have been good. The chipotle sauce did a fine job at masking that taste though. For our entrees I ordered the filet mignon(@ $ 39 — we just had to pay the difference from what the groupon covered). The sides were a choice of baked potato, mashed potato, or wild rice, and the vegetable of the day was carrots and bok choy. I opted for the wild rice. The filet was a decent size(it did not state on the menu how many ounces so I was unsure as to what I was receiving). The filet was cooked just right, it was so tender and moist(I ordered it medium). Conversely, the filet had a peculiar taste to it. Something we just couldn’t put our finger on. It wasn’t bad, just abnormal. Not the best steak I’ve ever had(or close), but not the worst either. My boyfriend ordered the Jack Daniel’s Grilled Shrimp with a lobster sauce and a baked potato. We were both surprised with the portion upon arrival(see picture). He was given SIX… yes SIX pieces of shrimp. thats it! For $ 28 I would absolutely expect more. The baked potato seemed to act as the main part of this meal. Overall the food could have been, and should have been way better. I’d give it a 3. Overall, we had a quiet and peaceful dinner overlooking the beautiful view of Niagara Falls. Had we paid full price which would have been well over $ 100, with their 18% «service charge/gratuity» I would have been extremely disappointed. Since we had the groupon it was worth it for the experience, and a change of scenery. Will I go back? No probably not.

Good dining can be had in Niagara Falls! Pinnacle has an amazing chef onboard and I’m seriously surprised this restaurant isn’t packed to the brim each night. The Pinnacle Restaurant is atop the Tower Hotel and has the MOST amazing views of the falls. Some other restaurants in Niagara Falls rest upon the view but the food is truly amazing here making this restaurant stand out above all others in the area. We started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio Sparkler, the cheapest sparkling wine on the menu for $ 25. It was a fine choice and I loved it, not to mention I felt super classy with it sitting on the side of our table. For my main, I had the chicken wellington dish for $ 30. The crust was flaky and melted in my mouth. The chicken was moist and just fantastic but also had some kind of salmon or other fish stuffing that added to the flavor but I think there was just a bit too much stuffed inside. It was an interesting variation on beef wellington and even the standard chicken wellington dish — I loved it! My friend had the Daily Mixed Grill for $ 35, a trio of interesting meats which he enjoyed. Truly fine dining in Niagara Falls with a breathtaking view makes Pinnacle a special dinner out not to be missed.

My husband and I wanted a place close to our hotel for dinner(found Pinnacle on Unilocal and walked over) It was a Saturday night so we were concerned we wouldn’t get a view or that we would have to wait along time. The front desk at the hotel called and said they thought they could take us. We went up in the elevator and only 2 tables were filled. The hostess pretended like there might be an issue then sat us with a perfect view of the falls. The waitress was friendly. My husband had the Lobster ravioli(which was the ravioli of the day) It was a nice sized portion and he really liked it. I had the french onion soup and the caesar salad. I thought the caesar salad was one of the best I’ve had. Amazing view!
