We stopped in here because it looked super busy and the food looked really good for the price. Naturally, I think the bulk of the crowd was there to watch the Blue Jays play. I ordered the Irish Hot Pot. I forget which is which, looking back now. But I do remember that one of them was super salty and tasted like it came right out of a can. Not impressed. At least the other dish tasted delicious and full of flavor. Overall, typical pub food. Don’t expect too much.

The Irish Harp is a nice Irish Pub in the heart of Niagara-On-The-Lake. The Pub serves the standard Irish drinks, about two or three local craft beer options, and a variety of Irish dishes. I tried the Dublin Steak and Guinness Pie, which had braised beef and mushrooms in gravy and topped with a puff pastry. The gravy was rich and flavorful, the meat tender, and the mushrooms juicy. The pastry complimented the dish perfectly by soaking in the gravy. The dish was very flavorful and filling. Overall, The Irish Harp is a great place for food and drink.

We’ve been here a couple of times when we’ve been in town for the theatre. This pub is convenient to everything in central Niagara-On-The-Lake. It’s just off the downtown street and a few blocks away from most Shaw Festival Theatres. Service has always been good and friendly. They have a large beer on tap selection to choose from, including some of my Irish favorites like Smithwicks. Food is pretty good — typical pub fare — meaning it’s good enough to eat but nothing outstanding. We’ve had a range of things from appetizers to sandwiches and a salad. All have been good. Prices are a little higher than I would like in a pub. Overall, we can claim to be satisfied returning customers. It’s one of the few central places to get some casual food that’s reliable.

There is truly an Irish pub worth taking about here. Fantastic atmosphere, menu, and staff. This place looks like I am sitting in Dunlin and the food is off the chart. If you live here or traveling through don’t miss this this stop for a chance to knock back a fine whisky and nibble on some fish and chips. Great job Irish Harp.

I’ve stayed here a few times and the place just came up in conversation again. I was telling a friend that this pub and rooms are probably my favourite little getaway spot and I really need to get back soon. Excellent food, phenomenal service every time. It can be a busy spot on some nights, NotL is a quaint town and this place has been the busiest spot in the evening most times I’ve been. Well worth it and if you are coming from out of town staying in a room upstairs is perfect.

Excellent food great service but they took our us dollars at even par instead of 20% like everyone else and i can not give a good rating to any establishment that steals from their patrons. There are lots of other choices in town that do not steal from their patrons.

We loved this restaurant, and we were wary of eating pub food. The people are friendly, and the food is delicious. The chicken curry is so delightful. The Irish stew and Guinness pie is also incredibly savory. We loved it!

My family and I(a party of 6) went here yesterday for lunch. I have never been to a restaurant with such amazing wait staff, and we had interactions with many of them. We weren’t able to be seated right away so we sat outside at the little«bar» like seating to wait. They brought us drinks and menus to look at while we were seated and came out to give us updates on how long it would be. The food was quick to come out and delicious. The Guinness mayo they put on some of their dishes is SO yummy. Oh and the whiskey bread pudding was amazing, you simply have to try it.

The place was great, the food out of this world and the service was top notch. The only reason it gets a 4 star instead of a 5 star was because of price. No matter if you get a full dinner or lunch it’s the same price.$$

Great little Irish pub and restaurant with fantastic food whiskey and beer items. Fantastic service. Just slightly off the beaten path in this wonderful community. One can even stay in the few rooms above the pub. Curry fries, Black and Tan onion rings were top notch. Kids loved the chicken tenders and fries. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Background music was traditional Irish and added to the overall experience. Plenty of healthy options offered as well. Very excellent offerings on the whiskey and beer menus and even some interesting Martino offerings.

While visiting Niagara Falls wife and I drove up to Niagara on the Lake to look around. Walked up and down Queen street and then King street. Irish Harp looked interesting so decided to give it a try. Saturday evening around 6. Not crowded Great Bangers and Mashed. Wife had Fish and Chips. Great too. Had their own beer on tap. Irish Harp Wheat. Good but have had better. Great service. Would go back.

Almost everything about this place was good! Keep in mind that there may be a wait if you go during their busy time, we went at around 8PM but only had to wait five minutes. Service was great, didn’t matter if that person worked the floor or the bar, someone was always around to check on you. They have a decent selection of Irish beers and offer sampling packs which is great if you are not sure what you are in the mood for. There was also a live band which really made the place come to life. Great atmosphere and people in there, definitely recommend if you are in that area.

Stopped in with friends on St. Paddy’s Day(night). The place was packed, but not uncomfortably so and the service was great despite how busy they were. The chicken wings are honestly the biggest I’ve ever seen and a 3-glass flight of beer(Irish Harp Ale, Lager, and Wheat) for $ 8 is a nice treat. The band that played, Finnegan’s Wake, were entertaining and played to the crowd very well. I tend to avoid bars on St. Patrick’s day to stay clear of the young and drunken crowd, but his was neither of those things and was still loads of fun. All around, a great pub.

Niagara-at-the-lake is e very chic, clean and expensive little town. Because we just had an hour time and because we were starving, we went looking for something affordable to eat. the good thing is you can always rely on the Irish– there is always an Irish pub in any town or village. ;) We had some nice Fish & Chips, really tasty but not the best we ever had before.(as they are pointing it out). Great and very friendly service though! :D

Nice little place off the main drag in Niagara by the Lake, ON. I had the Harp burger and sweet potato fries. Great atmosphere, great food, and great tea selection. You’ll be missing out if you don’t stop in. Great bar too.

Gord and I had tickets to see a play Saturday night. We both found it really boring so left during intermission. We went to the Irish Harp Pub because there was a Celtic band playing. The band was Finnigan’s Wake and they were really good. They played Irish, Celtic and East Coast tunes. I’m originally from the East Coast and it was just like being home! Hopefully they’ll play in Toronto sometime! The servers were friendly and took good care of us.

Ordered a Veggie Burger and after waiting 45 minutes it was served cold by a waitress that was ready for a fist fight. «This is how long it takes» Serves me right for ordering something on their menu and expecting not to get yelled at. Nice place to look at. You’ll have plenty to time to take it in.

Every vacation town, no matter what country it’s in, now seems to have an Irish pub.(I remember one in Cruz Bay on St. John in the Virgin Isles called«The Quiet Mon.») The Irish Harp is Niagara on the Lake’s obligatory version, but since the owner is actually from Ireland, this one is closer to the real thing. Apparently the owner, who comes from County Derry in Ireland, had the interior built in Ireland and shipped to NOTL. Nice place with lots of mahogany counters and walls, traditional«snug» rooms(private rooms that could only be entered by key), books about beer and rugby, and lots of Irish memorabilia(I particularly liked a T-shirt displayed behind the main bar: «Titanic: Built by Irishmen, Sunk by English»). Of course, they had all of the traditional pub beers such as Guinness, Harp, Kilkenny, Caffrey’s, and Smithwick’s. We were only there for drinks, but supposedly they have a full menu with lots of Irish dishes like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, and bangers and champ. Plus live entertainment on weekends and even some rooms above the pub that come with complimentary breakfast in the mornings. Another place in NOTL we’ve got to come back to!
