I haven’t ordered from Rebellious Tomato in years, but an out of town houseguest with complex nutritional needs inspired us to pick up the phone and place a $ 100+ order for pizza. I raved about the place — gluten free options! Cool flavour combinations! Let’s do it. Ordering was quick and easy. That was the only positive part of our experience. 50 minutes later, the pizza arrived. The GF pizza looked like it had been stepped on, dropped, and stepped on again. We ordered a bacon pizza for the meat-loving menfolk, and we honestly couldn’t tell which was the bacon pizza and which was the margherita pizza. We ordered a chicken pizza … it was hard to tell if the thin, greasy pizza with a few toppings scattered here and there was the pizza we ordered. A taste should clear up the confusion, right? Nope. Couldn’t even tell the difference between the bacon pizza and the chicken pizza by tasting it. Overall, this was the worst pizza I’ve eaten in 25 years. I will never, ever order anything from Rebellious Tomato, and will make it my life’s mission to share this experience with as many people as possible. This was a crime against pizza. I remember RT pizza being delicious back in the day — any greasy streetside buck-a-slice would be better than the mess we were delivered last night.

Awesome pizza, awesome staff. Favorites of ours include the meatsa and carnivore. Their sauce is so unique, unlike any other I’ve tried. The organic ingredients and the care put into each pizza makes a huge difference.

Good pizza and delivery service. They stand out above most pizza on the North Shore. The health conscience crusts are great, the sauce is better than most and the topping combinations are creative. Will order from them again.

We’ve been eating this pizza since they were located down in Deep Cove. Love it! Great service and great product! What more can I say? I’m a fan!

I so badly want to like this place! The pizzas are pretty good, and far healthier than most other pizza places. But the management is awful. The folks are nice but how often can you get the order wrong? I’ve given it 5 chances over the past 2 months, and unfortunately tonight is the last chance. On all but 1 time the pizzas were horribly wrong! If it wasn’t spelt(one of the choices), it was the wrong pizza completely. Tonight we got one laden with meat when we are mostly vegetarian. After waiting at pickup for 30 minutes because they made a wrong pizza earlier, the disappointment of getting home to a meat pizza is big. Love the concept, but unless this place works out the problems with wrong orders, they are going down. Too bad. :(

Really enjoyed there gluten free crust. It only comes in small size however. They are very reasonably priced for how delicious they are. Really good, fresh ingredients, no need to say more :)

Healthy Pizza — An Oxymoron? Not here! My friends and family have a variety of food needs: dairy free, wheat free, with out meat, with meat, the list goes on! Sometimes with these restrictions you pretty much have an option of a piece of lettuce on a menu, never mind taste or flavour! When I want an easy, yummy, meal that pleases lots of people I order from Rebellious Tomato. They have a spelt crust that is great for those like my sister who have a hard time with wheat. The modifications are many from gluten free to dairy free. They have great service and they deliver. My latest order: Sanikopizza and The Potato — Both were yummy!

Early New Years Eve, this place was a hub! Our friend called from the shop with a surprise. She announced that they have Gluten Free Pizza’s !! JUMPING up and down like an untrained puppy I waited for the delivery. Verdict: VERY tasty sauce for sure… lots of veggies on the Rice crust made for a tasty. I would definitely try a meaty one. The regular crust is also Organic and got the thumbs up on the meats. We would recommend take out, because it’s not conducive to comfortable dining but make sure you can keep it warm somehow, as thinner crusts loose heat quickly.

Wow. That was weird. We used to order from the Rebellious Tomato occasionally when we lived on the North Shore, and while on a little trip back to the old neighbourhood, we decided to get some pizza here. We also happened to have a 2-for-1 coupon from the Entertainment book, which kind of forced us to dine in and«experience» the place.(I’m such a crazy lady with the coupons.) Good marketing move, Rebellious Tomato. Because after sitting through an awkward half-hour in your establishment with no music, dirty bathrooms and slow service, I don’t think I want to come back, even to order takeout. The best part was watching a possibly drunk, elderly man hunched over and sleeping on the table next to us. At first, I wondered if he was just a random guy the young employees couldn’t be bothered to eject, but then he sat up slightly and I saw he was wearing a Rebellious Tomato t-shirt. He then got to his feet and shuffled a little on a foot in a cast, clearing a couple cans from a table, before flopping down at what was obviously a «staff table.» And then the plot thickened — a delivery driver came back from a run and was also limping. Delivery run accident with multiple casualties? If the older guy was an employee, for Chrissakes, please Mr/Ms Business Owner — give him some sick time. No one wants to see obviously sick or hurt people staggering about while they’re eating in your restaurant. Oh the pizza? The slices, though we ate them quickly(about 10X as fast as the time we waited and watched the floor show), were delovely and delicious, with decent-quality toppings, a really good crust and not too much grease. But why did they pack the leftover slices into a styrofoam container, all on top of each other, rather than in the plentiful pizza boxes? I shake my head.

This is not a fancy shmancy pizza place. The seating is basic as is the service. In fact, have it delivered or pick it up because the star here is the pizza. Nowhere else can I get scrumptious organic ingredients on spelt crusts. This is not to suggest that these are the prime attractions. The prime attraction is a thin crust pizza with robust seasoning and ingredients that are not drowned in mediocre cheese like other places. Have it at home with a robust red wine. Chianti anyone?
