First visit… Great service. Really enjoyed the cassoulet, the dish itself is a bit on the heavier side for my taste, but for what it was, it was really good. And left me very satisfied in terms of flavour and quantity. The coffee had a unique flavor and smoothness to it. It was really great. I’m now a fan of this place! Also wandered across the street one block north and came upon a great little nursery with tons of cool stuff. Bought myself my first Bonsai!

Lovely brunch place for the weekend. Great food, great service, casual atmosphere. There is a brunch place downtown Van that people rave about. This one is 10x better and not as packed. Enjoy!

Went for my brother’s birthday. First impressions were great, friendly service and excellent flavours. Space was a little hot in the middle of a ridiculously hot Vancouver summer though. Will follow up on this review on next visit.

Cute little place with friendly staff and delightfully flavorful food. Portions look small but it’s actually just rightly portioned such that you leave happily satisfied but not over stuffed. Will look forward to making this out regular stopover en route to Whistler.

Great food in a cute, chic café. Perfect brunch location. Food was a little slow, but was well worth the wait. As others stated, Cassoulet and Lyon are amazing, and short rib sandwich was fantastic as well.

Wow! Phenomenal everything. Had the hash special with beef and lamb and a wonderful sauce. Had a sponge cake desert that had berries and cake as well and it was out of this world. This may be one of the best brunches I have ever had.

This is a neat little place on lower Mountain Highway in North Vancouver. From what I understand, the chef and owner was trained in French cuisine and is highly regarded in the field. My first visit here with friends did not disappoint. It was fantastic! Reasonably priced and great portions. It’s a small place and, for dinner, it was full when I went. Recommend reservations as it is becoming more popular. I have not tried the brunch yet, but I hear its great.

I had the Cassoulet. Was rich, but delicious! First time here. Wish there was more bacon. Lol. Definitely, will try different dishes next time as everything sounds so good. Coffee was good too.

We have been here twice for special occasions(anniversary and valentine’s day) and both were spectacular. On our anniversary they were willing to put together a special charcuterie board even though it wasn’t on their standard menu. The service is lovely, the atmosphere intimate — don’t be alarmed by the exterior — it should not be considered a reflection of the phenomenal food! :) You will not be disappointed at this place!

Words can’t describe how elated I am after this dining experience. I’ll keep this short and simple because it’s THAT good and you just have to try it. Fantastic prices for huge quantities and quality food. My tastebuds are dancing, everything was superb and service was excellent. Mouthwatering Caesars(with candied bacon!), out of this world cassoulet, really good sandwiches, and I have nothing bad to say about this place. SOOOOGOOD! And family run. It doesn’t get any better than this.

The Short rib sandwich is amazing. My wife was fighting for the last bite, I had to think twice. I succumbed but not without a fight…

Sunday groovin in the sunlight to Nujabes… what a nice day for a small café with a slow mellow pace. Me and the hubby woke up late and hit this out of the way little spot just before they closed down brunch. The atmosphere was laid back, but certainly not lazy on behalf of the kitchen. He ordered the duck confit hash and I ordered the cassoulet and both were rich, tasty and wholly satisfying… we just noshed slowly in silent happiness, all smiles. A nice tea and selection of madeleines and financier tarts while we read the paper solidified this place as a fine Sunday reprieve from a hectic world.

Sometimes the best places are where you least expect them to be. That about sums it up for this charming little bistro restaurant. Down near the bottom of Mountain Highway bordering the commercial area of lower North Vancouver this place has a simple modern and unpretentious atmosphere that would appeal to just about anyone. The menu is filled with terrific comfort food dishes. I had the cassoulet. Served in a small cast iron pan, white beans, sausage, bacon married together in a lovely savory sauce with two perfectly poached eggs on top. The meal was truly extraordinary. I have not experienced this level of cuisine since visiting France. I can’t wait to return to try other items on the menu. I will make certain to introduce my friends to this wonderful place. I know that they will be as impressed as I am.

Agree with Nathan M — «amazing service and even better food.» The restaurant was located in a place where you wouldn’t expect great food but everything was pretty delicious. At 11:00am on a Sunday, there were still tables available but it was pretty full by the time we left. We were actually early for our reservation(by about 45 minutes) and our server let us know that drinks would come right away but that it would be a short wait before taking our order and food coming. I got to try a Caesar(bloody mary with clamato) for the first time and it was pretty good!(Certainly better than any bloody mary I’ve ever had). Everyone was served a mixed greens side salad that had a very fresh, light, and delicious dressing. Next, I tried a bite of my brother in law’s short rib sandwich(because it was the first food to arrive at our table) and that bite was excellent!(It arrived about 30 seconds before the rest of our dishes.) The short rib meat was flavorful and tender. I ordered the seven hour braised beef which was also excellent. The au poivre sauce was really quite spicy and flavorful and was perfect with the tender beef. My husband and sister both ordered the daily special bison which was perfectly cooked and came with bacon, mushrooms, and potatoes in a rich-but-not-thick sauce. My mom opted for the mushroom and swiss omelet that was surprisingly delicious. I’m not sure what they do to make it taste so elevated, but it was more than just eggs, mushrooms, and cheese if that makes sense. All in all, from start to finish, everything tasted very good. They came around to fill our water and coffee all the time and one server in particular had a very pleasant way of saying«You’re Welcome!» Dining at Tour de Feast was a really wonderful experience and is worth a visit!

Amazing service and even better food. Walked in for brunch on a Saturday morning. We were greeted with a warm welcome and quickly given menus and served fresh coffee. During the whole visit, our coffee mugs were kept warm. As for the menu, it was difficult to choose. From the duck confit cassoulet special, to the 7 hour braised beef. I opted for the special and was not disappointed. Lucky for me I also got to try the braised beef as someone else in our party ordered it. It was amazing. The pepper sauce is worth returning for, perhaps for dinner.

My hubby and I just left the restaurant and I am literally writing this in the car because I can’t wait to rave about their food. We came in at the perfect time, just shortly after 2pm and so we had the entire place to ourselves. As you walk in, the simple cheerful décor is welcoming. The service was friendly and helpful as well. But oh my gosh the food — the soup(roast peppers and artichoke today) was the best we’ve had in recent memory. My hubby had the cassoulet and I had the lyon, both were delicious with perfectly poached eggs, well seasoned sides and yummy bread. It was our first visit but it definitely won’t be our last. I’ve always got a soft spot for family-run businesses but that aside, this is a superb restaurant that serves up wholesome food without costing an arm and a leg. I’d highly recommending trying it for yourself.

4.5*. Really unique, somewhat hidden — not-so-hidden as it was busy for lunch service — contemporary yet casual French dining in North Van! A friend and I had stopped here on our way to Grouse Mt. In addition to their lunch menu, there was a list of daily specials. Prices were quite reasonable considering the quality AND quantity of food that comes out. I had the Cassoulet which was presented in a cast iron skillet and it was really homey and filling! Tastier than I expected, a pleasant surprise considering location and size of restaurant. The only thing that would bump up my rating is if the service was more personable. I felt the service somewhat contradicted the food being served — food was warm, while service was pretty cold. Younger waitress was just concerned about serving, while older lady was focused on getting new patrons seated, nothing more. Bring service up to same standards as food and you’ll have a winning combination!

I was so glad I listened to Amy T. and got the Lyon. It was really good, better than Heirloom! I took my mother here for breakfast before our Lynn Valley hike. We loaded ourselves with a healthy, hearty, and nutritious breakfast at Tour De Feast and left feeling we have the energy to conquer Kilimanjaro! We arrived shortly after 10:30AM which is when they open for breakfast. I was happy to see we were the only patrons. As a result we didn’t wait long for our breakfast to arrive. We were started off with a side salad of arugula and shaved fennel. The creamy salad dressing was light. My Lyon was served in a cast iron with two PERFECTLY soft poached eggs, sautéed button mushrooms with julienne red onions, peas, corn, heirloom tomatoes and bacon bits. There was a small cup of roasted potatoes cooked with garlic and herbs. There were two pieces of toasted bread which I presumed were baguettes(but could also be ciabetta). My mother’s «Heirloom» was nice but very similar to «Lyon». It was served in a cast iron as well. The only difference were that she got two sunny-side up eggs, two thick slices of ham and melted cheese. The ham was alright but the melted cheese was gummy. It felt like chewing on a piece of gum. Other than these differences the taste and ingredients were pretty much the same. I like how the food was seasoned just right, and not too salty or greasy. The food was prepared fresh and served hot. Even the roasted potatoes were delectable. I shared a cup of coffee with my mother. The coffee was slightly burnt but not too bad. The caffeine in that one standard cup was so strong it kept us up at night. It’s a compliment. This was a good beverage choice for a busy and eventful day we had ahead of us. The damage came to roughly $ 30. And I am going to use Amy T.‘s line again, «Get the Lyon».
