This is a nice, large location with a variety of seating options and very friendly staff. They have a large pastry selection as well. I hadn’t been to a Second Cup in a while so I was surprised and pleased to see many new treats and pastries, but then did not order any of them because the prices were steep. A square or brownie costed as much as a slice of La Rocca cake? Anyway, not a bad place to meet with friends.

Very nice second cup place… The place amazing with multiple seating choice you can get couch, booth or a seat. They have fireplace right here which is nice. The place is large and there is always seats to use. I come here to do work it is not that loude and the tables are good as well. The coffee is good it wakes me up for the work. So I will recoment the place for people living around the area.

Nice atmosphere but that’s it. The coffee was burned and the muffin was probably very good at one point in time… but that time passed long ago. If they ask for Starbucks prices, they should provide the same quality, but they don’t.

First time here. Three things worth noting. Music is a bit loud so you can’t really enjoy a movie with earphones. Sunshine is very strong in afternoon as the windows faces west. The bike parking rack around the place is the sort of locking your wheel rather than the frame and it’s not even wide enough to fit a mountain bike’s wheel.

Too many students who don’t buy anything and hangout for hours doing homework. Otherwise, a pretty standard second cup. Maybe in need of an update too, as I don’t think it’s been touched up since it opened 20+ years ago.

The staff here are super friendly. They will offer suggestions If you are unsure and also offer a replacement if the beverage is not up to par. There is plenty of seating and power plugs for you to plug in and surf n the free WiFi offered. It will get busy in the evenings during exam time as students know if the big seating areas and friendly staff

This is by far the best second cup I have ever been to. I’m usually here for Latte Tuesday(half price latte). While I do like their latte I’m not a fan of their coffee. The place is spacey yet very cozy. Plenty of seats ranging from your basic chairs to those overly comfy couches. Staff is super friendly. Slow music playing in the background. Washrooms are clean and you will not need to ask for a key every time you want to go. Free reliable WiFi. There aren’t enough electric outlets here which means expect a lot of dangling laptop chargers. Overall a great place to meet friends, read, and get some work done. Just make sure to charge up your laptop if you are planning to use it.

Second cup has a warm atmosphere with lots of seating. The owners are very friendly but the services is sometimes a little slow(if you are here for a while then it is well worth the wait). There is a small University near by on Bayview and Steeles so during paper season and exams it can be hard to find seating seeing as students tend to «camp out» around here. The music selection is a personal favorite; Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra style and played at a level where you can actually hear who you are communicating with. It has free wifi and is open pretty late. Ideal for the studying student(keep in mind they do not have very many outlets) but it is one of the better second cups I have frequented!

After some misdirection, I finally showed up at second cup located at STEELES and LAURLEAF. This is a great location with lots of parking and a very convenient ESSO gas station. This Second Cup has the largest seating capacity I have ever seen, which was nice because this place was busy! The music was at a great volume, and I could actually hear what Philip was saying… although sometimes I zoned out… haha just kidding: P. While standing in line waiting for my order I was extremely tempted to buy a Apple Caramel Crumble Tart(or something along those lines) but then I saw a HUGE fly. I’m not talking about a fruit fly, I am talking about a FLY. For me that turns me off from food in a split second. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Hot Chocolate, with no whipped cream and no foam. Philip ordered the Green Tea Latte. The Vanilla Bean Hot Chocolate was extremely sweet and I couldn’t even finish the small size I ordered. Thank goodness I also got a bottle of water. The staff here were really friendly and the bathrooms were super clean(but hidden). They close at 11:00pm every night, which is really nice. They are friendly to students, as there were a few students studying.

Ive been to this location numerous of times and what I like most about this location is that it’s away from the hussle and bussle. Just East of Bayview along Yonge… …(Not Laurleaf & Bayview lol… inside joke btw.) Second Cup in a way brightens up the vicinity with some outdoor seating, friendly clientele, and service. During the school years, especially for its nearby college this place can be packed, but for the most part still a chilled out place. This location is quite spacious with its optional couch seating areas which we took advantage of. Couch over chairs anyday! especially in a coffee joint such as this. The noise level is average, and they also provide convenience of free wifi. Overall the place is clean and presentable… and there’s plenty of parking that’s an added convenience. For drinks I had their Green Tea latte which was perfect. It was not too bitter which I found appealing. Too much matcha makes it bitter and hard to stomach after a while… she… Iriana on the other hand had Vanilla Bean HOTCHOCOLATE which I mistakened for plain hot chocolate. A litre of that and my blood sugar levels would have been through the roof. But thankfully some Benedetto came to the rescue! lol… Overall we had a good time kicking it back and making fun of some guys @$$ crack lol

This Second Cup has the most friendly and helpful barista I ever met. Spacious with ample seating and closes at 11 pm on weekdays and 12 am on weekends! The only problem maybe the lack of electric outlets. For a huge coffee shop there are only 3 electric outlets. So make sure your laptop is all charged up! If it is winter cold and freezing outside, don’t sit near the huge window… If you do, you might need to keep your winter jacket on!

Bijan has already said more or less all that needs to be said about this Second Cup! The owners/managers are very nice people and I have somehow always felt more comfy at this location! The layout is much nicer than the average 2nd cup, and there is perhaps a larger variety of chairs at this location than at any chain coffee shop! Noting that there are almost no independent coffee shops in this area and this is one of the only hangout spots open late, it is definitely worth frequenting out if you live in the hood.

Love this second cup location! It’s large and spacious, with ample seating. I just love the seating environment and there are a lot of people that come here to do work. It is usually really busy at night, and can get a little noisy. However, I love their selection of pastries, especially the la rocca cheesecakes, which are delicious! It’s a great place to hang out and chill with friends!

*4.5 Stars* I think we all know now that not all Second Cups and Starbucks’ are made equal and this shining star a prime example! A café I like to dub Café Persia for Students(I don’t think that requires that much of an explanation) it’s a perfectly oversized and neatly laid out coffee shop that’s ALWAYS busy! Busy with students studying for exams(all the York and UofT commuters study here, along with the chiropractors college around the corner). Busy with people doing their work here and meeting clients. And busy with locals making this their one and main meet up place in the area! The owner(Persian of course), one of the nicest people you’d meet has managed to keep her baristas for years now and it’s no wonder why; all of their staff are amazing. They’ll come and clear your tables, they remember everyone by face, make your drink just as you like it and are extremely patient when they try to kick at all 40+ customers for closing at 11 P.M. With good Wifi(and power plugs), a nice small patio(no view so don’t bother if that’s your thing) and super comfy seating this is my go to place whenever I need to sit down get some work done. If only there were Second Cups like this downtown!
