Kakemono Sushi

it is all you can eat so that’s a plus, the food there was good pretty much the best you can find in Durham region

I was not impressed at all. Multiple items we had ordered never showed up. The server finally brought two of the missing items (after I had asked multiple times). This was and will hopefully be the only time I ever leave all you can eat sushi hungry.
The sushi itself was less than spectacular, comparable to grocery store sushi.
Wait staff were friendly but fairly unresponsive when we told them about all our missing items.
Definitely not worth going a second time.

This sushi restaurant buffet is our place to go before go for a movie night. My wife loves the wong tongs and the variety of sushi dishes are great. The food is always fresh made making the whole experience very enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The only complain we have is when sometimes the place gets very busy specially on holiday dates. The service slows down and the staff gets overwhelmed making the waiting time for a table and the food a little bit of a pain. Other than that you will not get dissapointed with the food quality and the place. If you are a lover of Japanese food you are heading to the right place.

I have eaten there twice now, and think the food is great. Service was really good! Highly recommend.

Amazing variety with the all you can eat menu, friendly waitress’ & delicious sushi.

It’s all you can eat so that’s a plus. Servers are friendly and you will often see the Manager/​Owner walking around talking to customers and asking about their experience. That’s always a nice touch.
It’s slow. Don’t go in a huge group or it will be a lot of waiting. Even with 2 it was a lot of sitting and waiting. They are doing their best so it’s good to practice patience at this restaurant.
I’ll be back either way.

This place looks very nice when you go inside and take a first look. However, the food itself is nothing to write home about. When it comes to sushi, there are better options around — Tokushima Sushi is one of them.
One note: waiters seem to be kinda clumsy. After noticing a few accidents, I started to cringe whenever they were near our baby — who was sleeping in her stroller — carrying bowls with hot soup, showing little concern about balancing the scorching liquid that was inside them.
