Asari Sushi Express

Great sushi in Oshawa! I have to say they are much better than a lot of ayce sushi places! The sushis are original and diverse. They have a student discount which makes the price really affordable and the service and plating is impeccable. You can eat in the restaurant but this place is more of a pick up and delivery place.

I eat a lot of sushi, and I have to tell you: Asari is the real deal. A teeny tiny little shop buried behind a bus shelter in downtown Oshawa, it doesn’t *look* like the kind of place where you’re going to get great sushi. But I’m telling you — this is some of the finest sushi in Durham region. Gourmet rolls wrapped in seaweed, cucumber, rice paper. Creative rolls with mango, lobster, and tonnes of roe. And standard sushi/​sashimi all prepared well. Fresh and super delicious. The Asari roll, named after the place, is phenomenal. Truly phenomenal.
I haven’t even mentioned the prices: so cheap that you might be leery to walk in the door. But don’t judge this book by its cover. And don’t complain about a good deal. Walk in, give that Asari roll (one of the most expensive rolls on the menu at $ 10) a try, and I guarantee you’ll come back again and again.
