I love big easy! I have been here a few times and the staff is very attentive. All the workers help each other during service. Very friendly, meals are fresh and quick and the drinks are good too! Most recent visit we started with Cesar’s which is dressed with an oyster garnish. For apps we had oysters and the seafood bake! It was very well seasoned and came out piping hot! Entrees we orders lobster and steak and I ordered the shrimp & crab étouffée. I like to order something new when I repeat visit a restaurant but I must say, this was not a good option. Although the waitress said it was fantastic, I found it was lacking taste. Not sure what the sauce is made out of but it was bland and the rice bed was not flavoured. The food did have taste but the blend between the sauce consistency and the plain rice just did not work! I wish I had ordered the jambalaya again or opted for steak and lobster as well! I do like the ambiance of the restaurant and still rate it a 4*, I just don’t want anyone else to be disappointed; unless you like bland food? I will go back but def. not for the étouffée! Please mr chef taste your food or stop serving completely! What a disappointment!

I LOVETHISPLACE! Went there last night for my first time with my boyfriend and from the moment I walked through the doors and was greeted by one of the servers I could tell this would be a great dining experience. The server was excellent and the food was so good! Even the drinks were amazing! I’ve never had a server be so knowledgeable about the menu. Wish I could remember his name! Will definitely be coming back to try more things on the menu!

Great service by Laura. Between the two of us we had 2 appies, one main and dessert and it was excellent. Warm spinach with goats cheese. Tuna tar tar to die for. Blackened tuna. Lovely crème brule and decaf cappuccinos. Worth every nickel. Lovely and truly a big easy.

Had dinner with friends last evening to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. Place was very busy both the dining room and lounge. Our table was ready for us so we were seated immediately. Gumbo appetizer was spot on with lots of orca, seafood and just enough heat to say NOLA. I had Bourbon chicken as my main and is was good, just good not WOW and it took about 45 minutes from apps to have dinner plated. Our waiter was friendly and attentive but seems over priced. The couple we were with had oysters plus surf and turf each and their meal was over $ 300. We got out just over $ 100. I will give it another try and maybe get the steak.

Great atmosphere. Must have a reservation on the weekend. Food was good. The waitresses(we had two) were not that attentive. Not sure I’ll go back.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in the city. I never thought my favourite spot in Little Italy would be the one that isn’t Italian, but hey, I’m cool with the weirdness. This spot has so many wonderful things about it, I’m not sure where to start. From the awesome staff to the spectacular food, I’ve never left here in a bad mood. So where to start? I’ve been here for the tapas special(Monday nights they know have small plates and live music — awesome!), for drinks and for dinner. My personal favourite had to be dinner — mainly because I could stuff my face with so much yumminess. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried here, but my five stars go to the coconut shrimp, warm spinach salad, lobster ravioli and jambalaya. I also always go for the calamari as a starter — the seasoning is superb on them and the dipping sauce has just the right amount of zing! The jambalya is spicy — be warned! I love having it served over rice to balance out the flavours. I’m not a red meat-eater, but all those who have been with me and ordered steak have raved about it as well. They have an awesome drinks menu with plenty of cocktails which I love. The chocolatini is sinful — it’s got raspberry vodka, crème de cacao and some other yuminess. I like that Big Easy’s is great for groups(we had ten of us at the last visit) and for intimate date nights. they also have a full bar which is great for hanging out with friends for drinks. This place has swagger — it’s kind of got a Mad Men vibe with cajun flavour. Probably two fo the best combos ever.

Not as good as I’d thought or hoped. We went for lunch. The gentleman who served us was a little over enthusiastic which made lunch a little uncomfortable. The draft beer selection was good. The meal was bland and lacked effort and taste. Not sure I’d be going back anytime soon.

Hi had a spectacular evening at Big Easy’s Seafood and Steakhouse. It had come highly recommended to me and I had always been intrigued by it having walked by it on Preston St many a time. It was a Wednesday and not busy at all so we were given exceptional attention, without feeling rushed. We started with the speciality Caesar, a drink made with in-house garlic infused vodka. It was excellent, once. While it was a little over powering for me, I could see the appeal and appreciated that innovation of it. Appetizers were the tenderloin tips and the seafood fondue. Both fabulous with full flavour and a decent size. For my main I had the Blackened Salmon Pontchartrain which was also fantastic. This fish was cooked perfectly and I found the combination of the dirty rice and seafood to compliment that salmon fabulously. I hope to go here again, as there were many items on the menu that were intriguing.

Lunch was okay. Not spectacular. They seem to be trying to bring in a lunch crowd with lower prices. it’s not working. Fish and chips on one plate, grilled fish and veg on the other. Neither was remarkable. A little bread on the table would not have been unwelcome.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town. Seared scallops and the salmon dish off the«House Specialties» section were incredible. So many flavors on one plate.
