Pros-fast service –friendly –good value for money –burger did not fall apart-a real plus in my books –Fries were plentiful and garlic dip was great –portion size reasonable –lots of options –close to our hotel Cons– not knock your socks off flavour wise I would recommend if you were craving a burger and you were in the area. Not a place I would go out of my way for.

We were in Ottawa over the long weekend and heard tons about BFF. The burgers did not disappoint. We got the opportunity to try a few different combinations. The best was the bbq sauce with bacon mix. Also, if you want fries get the garlic aioli and sweet potato fries. I ordered some for myself as we were planning to leave Ottawa because they were that good. I didn’t get an opportunity to dine in but ambiance is cutesy. The staff are super duper nice and location is great being central downtown. I’m already looking forward to eating here again when I’m back in Ottawa.

Love this place. Amazing burger, all natural, homegrown. Well done. The ambience and branding is so on point. The only problem is the portion size; this makes the price seem too expensive.

Omg omg omg This is such a hidden gem!!! I was on bank street and went into thimblecakes for a vegan apple tart because its vegan and then my boyfriend was hungry and we went into this place and i only intended to get fries since im vegan right? WRONG they have a TODIEFOR vegan falafel burger and bun, they actually mold the falafel into a burger so its easy to eat, and the sweet potato fries OMGLETMETELLYOUTHEYROCK!!! I will be back 100% And i am craving it again the next day The only thing its very heavy ! I almost needed a nap afterwards so bring your appetite !!! 35 $ for 2 people so reasonably priced for the taste

Not only does this joint serve a mean burger, they have an extensive(and delicious) sides selection too. They have a set suggested burger menu, but will make changes to the burgers(hello mayo, see-ya mustard). They also have a burger of the week as well as a summer themed burger menu on now too(bring back the pierogi burger!!!). The food is made to order and I have never had a bad food or service experience here. The best thing about BFF is that it is varied-food friendly. It is not easy to find a place that will satisfy both a burger lover and her newly vegan-ized friend. This place can satisfy a meat eater, a vegetarian, the gluten free and celiac(I asked today) and their meat is halal. Not many burger joints can boast a menu that can feed an eclectic assortment of eaters. My poor vegan friend had to go without dipping sauce today though, because none of their super tasty fry sauces or aiolies was vegan. I made sure to make lots of ‘hmmm-yummmm’ noses out loud while I ate my sweet potato fries with the jalepeno aioli. And I regret nothing.

It does NOT get better than these burgers! It’s official, I have been there more times than I can count and it has consistently delivered fresh, flavourful and delicious burgers. I have tried the beef patty, veggie patty and chicken patty, and I love them all. The veggie patty is really good, but my only issue with it was that it fell apart, but that didn’t stop me finishing it. Their fries are always fresh and all burgers are made to order with local ingredients, what’s not to love? Ambiance: Really trendy, always updated wall menus, always packed and cool décor. It is located in the Glebe so there’s a lot of foot traffic. Bathrooms are clean! Which is something I always look for. You can see the food being made so that’s nice. The staff is quite friendly, and can always recommend something for you if you can’t make up your mind. The menu is pretty good the way it is, but you can also build your own burger. They have a huge list of toppings, several bun choices and the best part is the sauces. They have about 6 different sauces you can have in your burger or with your fries. The restaurant itself is a nice space, but finding seating for more than 4 might be tricky depending on when you go. In the summer time they open up their front window for a nice breeze and view. The only reason I can eat here, is because it is halal. This type of resto was much needed on the Ottawa halal scene, and I’m glad it’s here.

I have been to this place three times now. Like I’ve said in a previous review, there has been an explosion of burger joints in Ottawa over the last few years. This place is certainly one of the better ones! On each occasion that I have been there, I have been served by friendly staff and provided with a good burger. The fries are good and the sauces on the side are a nice touch. Overall, I’m not sure that I would drive across town for this place, but since I live in the area, it will be a regular stop. Expect just under $ 15 for a combo with fries and a canned drink. BTW, I’ve had the milkshakes here and they are very good!

Good hipster esque burger joint with the price tag to go along with it. Ordering from the wall menu is a task into itself, burgers, toppings, buns, combo, fries, sides, sauces on four separate boards… by the time u construct your meal you’re looking a 20 $ for a meal for one. I had a Swiss burger, rosemary parm poutine and a soda/pop. It was good, left full, place was clean, service was speedy, ingredients fresh… but not sure if this will my go to place — convenience may win out as it is a stones throw from my apartment but the price tag will make me think twice.

I really wanted to like this place. I was following their social media before they opened and couldn’t wait to go. By the time I got to them they had been open for about three months(which I thought gave time to work out the kinks) and my friends and I left quite dissatisfied. My burger was charred on the sides and left me wanting one of the way better burgers in Ottawa(World burger, Hintonburger or maybe Five guys). The positive about this place is that they had fantastic fries. About a year later I was craving a burger and BFF was the most convenient place to go, and I guess I forgot how dissatisfying my first experience was so I returned. I quickly remembered why I was purposefully avoiding this place. In a city with so many great burgers this place doesn’t deserve my business.

I should start by saying that I visited Burgers n’ Fries Forever for the first time on a Monday night, an hour before closing. I had a hankering for some Belgian style fries and had heard that BFF served them. The shop is very small and cute, the exterior is beautiful and stands out from the shops beside it(though in the dark, I actually walked past it three times before seeing it). The interior has a nice feel, but I decided to do takeout this time around. The servers however, did not seem very happy to be there. I’ll chalk that up to it being late on a Monday night. Anyways, I ordered the Italiano Burger and some Elegant Fries with the BFF Sauce. It was a bit of a wait, but I didn’t mind because I knew that my food was being made to order. The smells as I waited were torturous! I was starving and the burger smells were just so good. The bus ride back to where I live is about 40 minutes, so I didn’t expect my fries to survive the ride. I tried a few immediately and was impressed by both the quality and flavour of the fries! The sauce too was very good, a little bit sweet and tangy with a creamy finish. Unfortunately, they were a little soggy by the time I got home(to be expected, of course). I was impressed by the size of the burger patty when I unwrapped the foil, hunger amplified by the smells coming from the takeout. But when I bit into it, I have to say that I was disappointed. The toppings were amazing! but the burger itself was rather flavourless, lacking the beefy taste I love about hand-packed burgers. Still good, but not as good as the reviews I’ve read would suggest. All-in-all, It was a good experience and I will visit again when I’m in the area and have time to sit down in the shop!

I would probably be ashamed of how often I frequent Burgers n’ Fries Forever if it wasn’t for the fact that the food is so freakin’ amazing, they deserve to be visited so often. I live close to their restaurant, and so in the past ten months I have been there no fewer than 25 times, have tried a wide variety of their burgers, sides, milkshakes, and hot dogs, and am making it my goal to introduce as many friends to their gustatory goodness as possible. Where to start?! Everything is fresh and made to order. Everything. Due to the«open kitchen»(really more of an «open grill») layout concept, you can literally watch your order being made before your eyes. You can, but you need not to, because in all my visits, never once have they somehow botched my order. Not a single element, not a single time. Once on the grill, the burgers are spiced and watched by a hawk-eyed grill master. For the record, don’t let the staff fool you — they may be young, but they know their stuff. The beef burgers, while reduced fat, are never dry and always cooked to perfection. The wide range of toppings combine to form a plethora of mind-blowing, revolutionary flavour profiles. If you’re going for the first time, I highly recommend looking at their menu beforehand, because unless you’re a very picky eater, you will likely have trouble deciding what to order. Not to mention, you can also custom-build your own burger from a list of ingredients(including their made in-house sauces) if the choices are not quite what you’re craving that day. The side dishes(which you can also order on their own, in various sizes) are just as inventive as their burgers, and I haven’t yet met a single one I haven’t enjoyed. I have never had my order take more than 15min to complete, including the time I spent standing in line. Considering how busy the restaurant has been on certain nights during the dinner rush, this never ceases to surprise me. The cleanliness, friendly manner of the employees, timely service, and flawless execution are the perfect complement to a delicious meal, whether you stay to dine, drop in for take-out, or order for delivery. I fully believe the cost is worth the value of the food. Burgers can be made at home, but I guarantee they will not be this good, every time, without fail, and the sides are irreplicable. Also, they have multiple rewards and incentives for the regulars, so if you’re living or working in the neighbourhood, there is even more incentive to check them out. And for the out-of-town visitors, it’s within a twenty-minute walk(or a five-minute bus ride) from Parliament Hill. The chicken, veggie burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes, vegetarian gravy, and gluten-free buns ensure everyone will be able to find something on the menu that is right for them. Do yourself a favour and drop in to see if you want to make BFF your new BFF — my bet is you will.

Burgers n’ Fries Forever is a great place for anyone looking for the classic burger taken to a whole new level. They have a lot of amazing creations ranging from The Swiss to The Guac to The Cali. They take the care and preparations towards preparing a delicious burger. If you are looking to satisfy a craving for meat, then you can’t go wrong with any choice. But, if none of their choices come towards your liking, they actually have a secret menu which can be found their website. I would definitely recommend The Hangover. The handcut fries are prepared since they are double fried which gives them the extra special touch. But, if you pair them with their housemade aiolis, it is the perfect side order combination to any burger you choose. The service at this place was very good as they treated every customer with a smile on their face. They bring your food right to your spot, which is also nice thing to see. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Overall, Burgers n’ Fries Forever is the place to be for all burger lovers.

What’s in these burgers? Is it crack? It’s crack, isn’t it. So, I am NOT a burger fan, generally. I like McDonalds burgers — thin bun, thin patty — but I tend to resist larger, homestyle burgers(big, messy, unwieldy to eat, sometimes tough and bland). But anyway, hunger will initiate strange cravings and one day for lunch I decided to try BFF, and went for the regular burger lunch combo with regular fries. Holy. Probably the best burger I’ve ever had. It was big, but somehow it just felt right. The taste, the feel of it, was just fantastic. The fries were also fabulous, as was the garlic aioli. I was sure I wouldn’t finish it all, but I did, and it was easy. And I wanted it again the next day. I resisted for a full week before ordering again. Speaking of which, time to go pick up my burger!

Probably one of the best additions to our ‘hood in the last year(or two). BFF is easily our pick for burgers when we get the cravings. I usually get the Aussie or the Melt, and my boyfriend — the Italiano — which we learned yesterday has migrated from the regular menu to the«secret menu» that can only be accessed through their website(or apparently if you’re a regular you’d just know). Big fan of their mayo dips, and the fries are a class of their own. We had the chili fries(Nov special) and That was a bit much; but if you go greasy you might as well go all the way right? Wait is about 15 mins, more if they’re busy. Either way, fun burgers, great staff. What’s not to love?

After a long day of flying and checking into my hotel, I wanted something to eat without having to drive too far. After checking out my options late at night, I found Burgers n’ Fries Forever. The restaurant is long and narrow, with chalk boards for menus. It turns out that they have a late night special combo for $ 10, so I ordered that. It came with: BLT burger: pretty good burger, and you can’t go wrong with bacon on it(they even ask you what kind of bun you want with it) French fries: they give you a decent amount or potatoes that were fried nicely and crisply. BFF sauce: included with the combo, you get to pick a dipping sauce. the BFF sauce is like a 1,000 island sauce, and it was pretty good. In addition to the food, you get to grab a soft drink from the cooler. Everything is made to order, so expect to wait around 10 minutes for your order. If you are in the area and are craving a late night burger, you should definitely try this place out for good burgers and fries at a great price.

BFF … OMG !!! Just thinking about it makes me wanna go over there and order a juicy Cali or Real Funky! And the sweet potato fries dipped in pesto mayo!!! You can see that the guys there work really hard and doing a great job! I love the fact that it’s halal which is great for almost everyone who eats meat!

The burgers are up there with the best in Ottawa, which includes the James St. Pub and Hintonburger. They make their burgers in a way similar to the California chain«Smashburger,» which is wonderful. The only way the burgers could be better is if they used full-fat beef, but it’s Canada, home of lean meat. The fries were pretty good and with the burger combo the portion was more than generous. The milkshake that came with it was small but delicious. I was very full after the meal. The onion rings had a spicy seasoning on them that we(wife and friend) did not care for. We did not finish them. Ask for onion rings with only salt. The décor is stylish. I like this place a lot.
