Really good burritos and the guy there is really funny! The chilli sauce is good– not over the top, but gives you a good sweat if you add in other chillis too. He even gave us a free cinammon thing! Good value.

my faaaaavorite place to eat in Ottawa, hands down. their burritos are huge and so, so good. you’ll be full for hours! go for the steak, it’s always super flavorful and cooked nicely, and you watch them slice the steak up in front of you so you know it’s the real deal. the only topping I really miss from them is queso, but they have everything else you could want, including a heavy hand with the guac(making it less of a pain to pay extra for). the cookies are yummy, the chips are a little dry(which only makes me miss queso more), and the churros aren’t great – they seem like they’d be a lot better if they were fried to order. but you can NEVER go wrong with their burritos.

My husband and I had dinner here recently. For what it is, it’s pretty good. Mexican fast food restaurant chains have been popping up everywhere in Ottawa. First Mucho Burrito, then Burrito Gringo. I’m guessing it’s only a matter of time before we get a Chipotle’s here. Anyway, it’s nice to have more options than say 5 years ago when all there was was Taco Bell. I had the small barbacoa(pulled beef) burrito($ 6.95) and my husband had 2 tacos($ 6.80), a carne assada(steak) and a carnitas(pulled pork). The small burrito was pretty big, I’m glad I didn’t have the large one. It had a lot of meat in. I added refried beans, sauteed peppers and onions, cilantro lime rice, medium red salsa and cheddar and Monterrey Jack cheese. All the ingredients tasted really fresh. And for a fast food burrito, it was awesome. My husband really enjoyed his tacos. He got the soft tortilla shell, but you can also get the crispy shell. He said the steak was tender and not tough at all, and the pulled pork was nicely done. Service was excellent. The staff were very nice. We were standing around trying to decide what to get and they were not impatient at all and told us to take our time. After the meal as we were leaving, they thanked us for coming. The food handlers wore gloves(extra points for good sanitation!). I thought that I would definitely come back but shortly after eating the burrito I broke out in hives, so I am allergic to something I ate there. I need to get myself to an allergist pronto! I am so sad about this because I really liked Burrito Gringo and would have liked to come back, but having big itchy welts all over my body is not something that I enjoy. This is of course no fault on the part of the restaurant, so I will still recommend this place to others, I just won’t return myself until I figure out what it is exactly I’m allergic to there so I can avoid eating it again. This restaurant is in a strip mall so there is lots of free parking.

We walked in and it was busy! Always a good sign when a place has customers! :-) We ordered a large Carne Asada burrito to share. The half was more than enough for me. I loved their flavours and I will say their mild salsa had a nice kick to it. I can’t imagine their hot salsa! Lol The employees seems super nice and we got a box of their cinnamon sugar churros! Not like the NYC churros but totally worth the $! We will be returning!

I work nearby and always like to treat myself to Burrito Gringo every once in a while. I usually go for either the burrito or the quesadilla and are they ever generous with the portions they give! I’m very impressed with how they are able to fit so much in one tiny burrito… a small gets me very full(plus a churro or a cookie!) All ingredients are fresh which is a huge plus for me. Staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is fun. I love that I can often hear the Mexican music from across the parking lot. Would definitely recommend this place to any Mexican food lovers out there :)

This location is in the same plaza as Food Basics. I usually take the burrito bowl which consist of rice, beans, your choice of meat, salsa, guacamole, sour cream and cheese. The menu doesn’t stop at the burrito bowls. They have tacos and burritos as well as salads. The food as always been delicious and fresh! Would recommend.

My favourite burrito place in Ottawa! Fast service and can get through a line efficiently. Portions are generous and the staff is very considerate to preferred toppings. Speaking of toppings, protein and fixings have always fresh and tasty. Will definitely be coming back!

I love my mexican food, and was so excited that there was another option for fast, mexican takeout in town. While Mucho Burrito took over the city with their fresh mexican food, I was longing for another option in town. I got a veggie kids burrito and it was honestly the perfect size. It was so cute and small, but they still managed to stuff plenty of toppings inside. I like how they offer guac at no extra charge for vegetarian option as well as re-fried beans. My burrito was very flavorful, although it was very salty. The tortilla chips that came with the meal were stale. I also ordered a chocolate coconut cookie, and that was good, but not amazing. The food is A-OK, and I am sure I will be back again when I am in the mood for mexican food again.
