I really like this grocery store and the prepared food counter is always fresh!
They make all the prepareed foods like hummus, dips in the store.
The rice pudding they sell in the container is really good too.
If you do not like meat, the shawarma counter has fried vegetables you can get instead and that is great too!
Only reason I am taking off one star is that the baklava is not made in store and packaged stuff and you can get better at the bakery across the street.
The grocery store did sell fresh baklava for a while, but I do not think it was popular enough and they do not carry it now…
The bulk section is extremely fresh and good too!
But for bulk the prices are kind of high– but I like what they sell and the ingredients are listed, so that is a plus.
Also, if you have a car they have their own parking lot right beside the store!

Yay! I finally made it in here for more than just a shawarma. This is a great little grocer in the glebe and I was really surprised with what they offerings.
I was greeted by the sweetest employees — this business clearly really cares about customer service. Although it’s a tiny store (cozy is a good word!) They have really great produce (way better than larger stores) and a decent selection. They stock bread from the Rideau Bakery and have a freezer of prepared meals (and gluten free products!). They also have a great selection of organic products (and produce!),
A great spot! If this was in my neighbourhood I would be there all the time.

This cozy homey store has got the best of two worlds — A grocery store with pretty much anything you need AND a Shawarma spot!
It’s close to my apartment and has very friendly employees that are always smiling and conversing with you.
Main reasons I go there are because of the 10% student discount (everyday!!), the hummus (the red pepper and the olive ones are my fav) and the falafel! I stopped eating shawarma because of turning into a vegetarian but when I did, they were great and always packed with whatever you want.
They’re also always changing it up; which is great because that means they’re always looking for ways to make it better! :)

They care.
They have consistently improved the quality of the produce they sell. They now sell fish, meat and organic produce.
I go to big stores only to buy bathroom stuff like soap, toilet paper etc
Update: the fruit and vegetables are not always fresh. Sad but true. Still a good place but not great.
Hope they keep doing what they do and stay here. It s great to see the improvement. They are the main store i go to!

Love Cedars because they are trying so hard — the food is fresh and yummie, and the service is friendly and neighbourly.
It is exactly what I had hoped for OOS.
The best part is the excellent Lebanese food and the fish. Apparently, one of the past employees from the Pelican is looking after the fish counter.
The Mama Ganouj is fabulous — you must give it a try.
My heart will crack if this place doesnt make it… so go there!
