I was really excited to try this food truck. Unfortunately the food was not really good. I had the californian dosa. The cheese didn’t melt and the wilted spinach didn’t add anything. The dosa itself was ok, but I would rethink the fillings.

Guess what time it is everyone?! DOSA time!(Patent pending…) This food truck is conveniently located, and serves a great dosa! I ordered the masala dosa, and it was delicious! The serving size was quite large and although I can finish it, I’d say it’s good for two to share, if you’re looking for a light lunch. It’s all vegetarian, therefore appealing to many people, and I will say this as a self-identified meatatarian, that it’s delicious and filling and you won’t miss the meat! My one recommendation is that they are open for longer hours or in the evenings at least!

Crazy delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here. Really tasty and fast. A good variety of creative dosas with unusual fillings

This truck is great for good value! Tasty quick eats near a park, personable owner, staff, and a solid selection for a menu that has just 12 items. I’ve now tried half the menu in my first week of being back in town. While the masala dosa appears to be the most popular, don’t overlook the uttapam too!

Granted that I’m not trying all of the new food trucks as quickly as I’d like, Dosa really stands out for me as a great addition to the lunch(and dinner!) options in the city, and is the kind of truck I will make a destination and not only consider when it’s nearby. Food: Dosas are gluten free, and the masala dosa, which I had, is vegan as well. At the suggestion of the whiteboard I asked for spicy chutney to be added in my dosa and that was the right call for sure. It came with two small sides of chutney, one a little spicy and the other one a cooling coconut. Without a drink this cost $ 7. Service: The truck dude was friendly and helpful, and when I didn’t have the right change(and neither did he) he even was willing to let me come up a bit short for my meal, but luckily I was able to scrape together the rest from the change cup in the car.(Phew!) Location: Although Dosa Inc isn’t downtown, which makes it a little harder to drop by if that’s where you work, it is parked right next to a nice little park — and on a beautiful day like today a bench in the park is an awesome place to enjoy some Ottawa street food. Tips: I picked up a knife and fork, I should have grabbed a spoon instead. This might not be the case for all the dosas, but it’s something I’ll change when I go again.

Great location for their regular spot at Dundonald Park, there’s plenty of seating and shade to enjoy as you nibble on the great dosa’s offered at this truck. We tried one dosa with paneer(cheese) and the Olympian. Both were tasty and enjoyable. The texture of the dosa(similar to a crêpe) is wonderful. The flavour combinations are lovely. The Olympian was a cultural mashup of Indian and Greek food — and it worked! Also tried an Uttapam, which I would describe as a crêpe-omelet — except there’s no crêpe or eggs. Confusing I know! But the batter has stuff in it — and it’s cooked, so you have the crêpe kind of base, with onions, tomatoes etc. cooked right in. Delicious. Pro tip: Olympian came out much faster — so if you are in a rush, that might be an option for you. One thing I’d love to see: labeling on the recycling bins, so I know where to discard what. Would I return: Yes Would I recommend: Yes

Oh my lord. Stopping here for dinner was one of the best food decisions I’ve made in ages. Shamefully, I must admit I’ve never had a dosa before. I’ve seen them, smelt them but never indulged for one reason or another. When I heard about this food truck, I just knew this was the time to try one. Located right beside Dundonald Park at Somerset and Lyon, it’s easy to find(there’s street parking all along the edge of the park). My only issue with this area are the angry, screaming people who were camping out in the park, but that’s for my Dundonald Park review! Not knowing anything about what would taste best, I decided to go with my gut and chose the Californian — a dosa filled with goat cheese, spinach, avocado, red pepper, and walnuts. Never had a dosa? As Dawn M mentioned, it’s very similar to a crêpe, but made with lentils and rice. The texture was phenomenal. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, and I smothered mine with the sambar and chutney served on the side with a generous helping of plantains. I literally gobbled this up in minutes. I’m really looking forward to coming back for the breakfast dosa and to try the uttapam. Another gem of a food truck in our awesome city!
