So this was a delivery order, I have not been in the restaurant so cannot speak to that! Ugh. Really bad, honestly :(. First of all — We paid for 6 pcs of salmon sashimi and received only 2 very thin pieces that literally fell apart when picked up. That i can deal with, it’s only a few extra dollars but still pretty shady. What’s worse is the smell, i mean it reeally smells, and I eat more than enough sushi on a regular basis to know it doesn’t typically smell this bad. Worst we’ve had in Ottawa by far :(

I went there for lunch. I ordered: — miso soup — chicken udon soup — avocado salmon maki — chicken udon stir fry — pork dumplings — tenpura shrimp So the miso was amazing. Best tasting one ive had. Hot +5 Udon soup was tasteless but it was hot +3 Avocado salmon: the rice was either old, dry or undercooked. The avocado had brown spots. +1 Stirfry: great taste, hot, chicken overcooked + 4 Pork dumpling: it was ok +3 Tempura is tempura + 5 21⁄6 = 3.5… But I’ll give it a 3 because it used to be awesome

If you work at a Japanese restaurant make sure you know what sake is and how to pronounce it. You don’t want me to get started on this place. Take my advice and stay away… far, far away!

this place was horrible. came here because Ten Sushi was busy. thought it could be a nice replacement. not at all. barely anyone in the restaurant and we still had to wait a long time for our food. food came and it was absolutely horrible. cold, disgusting, couldn’t even eat any of it. tried something else that we regularly get at other sushi restaurants and it was also god awful. we tried to get some chicken teriyaki and general tso chicken thinking«who can really mess this up?», and yup, they did. almost threw up. ended up just paying them and leaving. never again. avoid.

If I had reviewed this place 2 years ago, I would have given it a big old 5 stars, yet the quality of this restaurant has become somewhat poor. A friend of mine and I, were in the area looking for a nice sit-down restaurant to fill our tummies. I had remembered the amazing Japanese restaurant, and excitedly insisted on bringing him to the place. I felt as if I let him down, since the restaurant had gone down in quality since I had last visited. The menus had changed and omitted a lot of the great foods that I had previously enjoyed. The beef stir-fry tasted very burnt, and the food in general was on the greasy side. As for the service, the people were moderately polite, but unattentive. They hardly checked up on us, and we had gotten full from waiting on our second order. I feel as if this place has so much potential, yet the staff puts minimal effort into pleasing the customers. It’s a shame to have to down-rate a restaurant that I had previously adored, but I shall be back to see if the conditions have changed!

Good food, good price! Just dropped by for some Asian food, sushi and dim sum with family. Air conditioner seems not working. Not bad service. Adult $ 15 Mon-Fri lunch. Dinner $ 24.

My first plate was simple easy one. Shrimp tempula. I NEVER had COLD one any where on the earth. the shrimp was cold, not even near warm. I don’t know how long this shrimps had been made. I can’t believe the quality could be so poor here. I can’t believe I sent the shrimps back and they never bother to make fresh one and bring it back to me. Not even say sorry. IF you notice they put MSG next to dim sum menu. which means they made with MSG… Never like food with chemicals in it. . If they can serve OLDFOOD to people in the restaurant. I don’t think the food could be clean nor fresh. AVOID to go this restaurant. I won’t bother to come back. I will never accept the low standard restaurant. not even need to judge the taste. Just serving OLD/COLD food is SOWRONG. When I was paying. there were pile of pre made old shrimp tempula sitting at the back counter. NONONO.

Worse experience ever. Sitting here looking at 5 staff with their heads down looking at their phones while no one is coming by to pick up our second order or offering refills. Food was good, well the items that showed up, they missed 3 items on our first order. We had to get up and bring our second order to them, at which point they looked angry that we interrupted their precious phone time. We will never return.

Good service. One of the better all you can eat sushi places in Ottawa. Orders come promptly no mistakes. Second time here would definitely come again for all you can eat sushi and dim sum considering Ottawa’s other options.

Fusion House serves a mix of AYCE sushi and dimsum. Lunch is about 15 $ and kids pay whatever their age is. Dinner is 25 $(I think), and if you pay in cash you can get 10% off. There are definitely more options for dinner, but if you aren’t going to get sashimi then lunch is much more worth it. Weekday and weekend pricing is the same(but eggtarts are only available during the weekend). The servers hand out menus and slips for you to write down orders and everything is made to order. Drinks are included in the buffet price(but I wouldn’t recommending wasting that stomach space on coke: P). The food is pretty good. The shrimp dumplings(har gow/xia jiao) are highly recommended. If you aren’t picky about what you’re eating, try the beef tripe too. I wouldn’t bother ordering the chicken feet or shrimp shumai(shaomai); both the smells and tastes were very off. Note! Their dimsum comes in 3 portions NOT4 like other places. Sushi was decent, but the rice was a little hard and bland; it’s not as good as Thousand Island Sushi Buffet. The tempura was nice and crispy though. You can’t go wrong with most of the hot food. The salmon and other fishes are great. Beef short ribs were the kids’ favorite. It does get a little greasy at times, but hey! the point of a buffet is to stuff your face in calories right? Speaking of calories… there’s still dessert! Asian desserts include sesame balls, eggtarts and fried banana. Ice cream is always a must. Green tea and red bean are my favorite flavors, but they also have vanilla and chocolate for the less adventurous. The scoops are also double that of other buffets in Ottawa. The décor of the place is modern and the atmosphere is surprisingly quieter than other buffets. The booths are really comfy and they can fit large parties pretty well. Service can get a little slow during the rush, but the food will eventually come. All your orders are put into the computer so it”s unlikely that they’ll forget your dish unlike other places(ahem Thousand Island…). Overall, food is really good(especially for the price!). This glutton will definitely be coming back.

Another example of a Chinese restaurant claiming to be more Japanese than Chinese. In my experience if you see crab sticks being used in sushi then steer clear. Good sushi does not have crab sticks! Bleurgh. OK so the good points with this place. Well it’s cheap and includes soft drinks. You eat as much as you want AND it’s a lazy buffet. You hand your orders to the server and they bring whatever it is you want. The bad points. BAD sushi. Below average Chinese food. Dumplings, spring rolls etc were very greasy, lots of pastry and very little filling. Filthy washrooms. Bad slow service. I chased 2 different servers to get refills and take one of our order sheets. I eventually had to get up and pretty much give attitude to the server for her to actually serve us. When she took our empty soft drink cups she threw them into the cart in a fit of rage. Sweetie, CALM yourself. There’s a reason why this place is cheap. I would rather spend extra and get some quality Chinese food elsewhere.

My first experience in a formal, sit-down made-to-order sushi/Japanese fusion restaurant, and it won’t be my last. Although we went for dinner, which is $ 25 per person(includes unlimited drinks except for alcohol), there is a much cheaper lunch option at roughly $ 15 per person. The food is delicious, fresh, made to order, and of a very high quality. The tempura shrimp is delicious; our group had to keep ordering more as our staple even as we tried other dishes. The green onion wrapped in Kobe beef was also outstanding, although it is misleading to call it Kobe beef rather than Kobe-style. The restaurant lacks lustre or appearance on the outside, but inside it’s beautiful, new, fresh, and inviting.
