After looking around for 1 week visiting a lot of stores, I found Glebe Trotter on Bank Street. I was impressed with the friendliness as I walked in. No pressure, lots of time to browse, but they were there as soon as you wanted to try on a pair. My sales associate was busy between a number of clients but she worked hard, kept bringing us shoes to try and kept a cheerful outlook!
A better quality shoe store means a little pricey (my only issue, as I am cheap). Otherwise I would have rated it a 5⁄5 but if my shoes holdup I come back and buy again!

Unique selection of shoes and boots and more!
I have always found unique, quality shoes, boots and sandals at this owner-​operated shop.
Support a small business and walk away with some sweet shoes!
Honest staff, good selection of sizes… shoes are quality made and therefore cost more than lesser quality shoes.
Ya pay for what ya gets!

Glebe Trotters is one of the better shoe stores in Ottawa, but they aren’t cheap. They specialize in the rare commodity of comfortable yet attractive shoes from a variety of shoe companies from around that world that can be counted on to provide a well-​made product. When you buy shoes here, you will be getting quality for your cash. They also stock one of my favourite comfy shoe lines: El Naturalista.
The staff are always helpful and, from my experiences, they give you honest feedback.
