This is the«Soup Guy» I’m not a fan of soup, but let me tell you their QUICHE is unbelievable. The young lady at the cash, seems like she is always yelling and is super hyper. They are kind of an odd team but I go for the quiche and it never disappoints.

I affectionately call this place the Soup Commie because of the political themed soups and bobble heads and sometimes even books they display and hawk. Much like Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi the soup here is worth waiting in line for at all costs and when I first started going here the service was is slightly lacking albeit not in the same way as the Soup Nazi. The Soup Guy(as he is actually called) is very friendly but for a time there was always at least one mistake with my order. Weather it was the wrong side or a burned panini or missing drink etc. For the longest time they didn’t accept anything but cash either. Thankfully they now take debit and credit. I have been frequently Muffin Plus for several years at lunch time for their soup. They by far have the best soups in down town Ottawa. The sandwiches and salads however aren’t much to write home about and they have stepped up their game. You will get what you order!

Great soup. Nice selection of vegetarian options and vegan options. A little pricier than Tim Hortons but you are paying for quality. They also have a variety of sandwiches and salads. These are good, but the soups are my favourite.

I’ve been here MANY times to pick up lunch for my office. There are over a dozen soups everyday along with salads, sandwiches, baked goods and coffee. I’ve tried a few soups for myself and wasted blown away by any of them. The staff is quite pleasant but I find the«soup guy» cold. I’ve been there enough times to see him play super nice with one customer and then the next he isn’t rude but isn’t very friendly either. This happens every visit! The prices are on the high side. I wouldn’t recommend it. Plus, who wants soup all year round. Quantity… yes but that’s not always a good thing!

This is absolutely the best place to get soup in Ottawa. They serve sandwiches, salads, baked goods and various other lunch treats, but it’s their vast selection of delicious and inventive soup that makes them so popular. Baked away amongst the food court in the World Exchange Plaza, some people may not know about Le Muffin Plus, but it’s definitely not a secret that this is the place to go for great soup. Regular appearances of Claudio Fracassi(The Soup Guy) on CBC’s Living in Ottawa have probably also helped boost the deli’s fame. Claudio and his staff are very nice considering the huge line-ups that build at lunch time. Oddly enough, I still can’t help but feel like I’m in a nicer version of that Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi when I go. The line is rushed along at an incredibly brisk pace, so you have to be sure you know what you’re ordering, where you’re going to stand if you have to wait for your food and, when you get to the end, make sure you have your money ready to go. Aaah! It frazzled me the first couple times I went, but you get the hang of it. Plus, trust me, the soup is worth it.
