Entrer sans hésiter. Les sushis son frais et délicieux. Le service est bon et la facture n’est pas trop élevé. Les portions sont asser généreuse, mous etions rassasiés à la fin de notre repas. Belle découverte.

To start off, I went with a friend for lunch on a work day, and the wait for food was quite long. The miso soup here had a rather odd flavour to it. We tried, but neither my friend nor I could finish it. The salad, however, was delightfully simple. The vegetable teppanyaki was doused in a sauce that made it much too salty. I also had the spicy tuna maki, and the fish and avocado both did not seem very fresh. The tuna was a sickly purplish-gray colour and I ended up not eating past the first piece. Definitely a let down for us. Despite the location and our nice-guy waiter, the quality of the food does not permit me to rate Miso past 1 star.

Overall good food! I had to try the udon soup when I spoke to one woman who works there and was told they make their own noodles at the restaurant. You can see their large mixer and pasta machine right behind the counter when you walk in! My sushi has always been fresh here, but I have to take one star off as some rolls have mayo and I did not know that. The seafood tempura is really good too! But their tempura batter is not the«traditional» Japanese kind. But their seafood tempura is so good I could order it every time I eat there. The shrimp are fresh and huge, their crabstick is cut differently and it is delicious with their tempura batter. There is even a real scallop as one of the pieces. Also their tempura squid is very fresh, well cooked and not rubbery at all. I am always afraid of getting squid at any place as I’ve had so many that are like eating rubber bands. But the squid I had here was great and well prepared! I will have to take one star off as eating in is not that fast if you order many items. But it is because they make your food fresh right when you order!

Miso Japanese Restaurant was a disaster from start to finish. The service was the worst that I have ever experienced in Ottawa. My coworkers and I went for lunch to celebrate a birthday, and while most restaurants in the downtown core cater to office workers on their lunch breaks and pride themselves on fast service, there was nothing fast about Miso. It took over ANHOURAND A HALF to get three basic lunch specials — completely unreasonable and unprofessional. We also had to remind them about the vegetable tempura appetizer we ordered(which took 45 minutes to arrive). There were at least four staff members working — what were they doing during all that wait time?! We weren’t the only ones who were frustrated — every other table was also complaining about the service and the wait time for food. Another table just got up and left. Oh, and they brought us the bill at the end like nothing happened. Are you kidding me? I would not eat at this restaurant again if you paid me — TERRIBLE!!!

Great spot for a quick take-out or a sit down lunch. Sushi was fresh and prepared in front of you. Take-out udon special is about $ 8.

Friendly service, clean tables, good location. I ordered sushi set B for lunch which contains 16 pcs sushi, including 8 assorted maki roll, 4 nigiri and 4 supreme dragon roll. All for $ 13, which I think is pretty reasonable. The fish is fresh enough. I will go back again.

Decent but not great. I visited on a quiet lunch day during the holiday. The server took our order and despite the fairly quiet restaurant I felt it took longer than it should. I had the small boat special(B). The rolls were okay and tasty. Fresh but vegetables like cucumber could have been crunchier. The avocado on top of one of the rolls was delicious. I found it funny for a sushi restaurant that their tea is served by the cup with a teabag instead of a teapot per table. I might go again but not if in a rush.

Delicious, cozy and great service. We visited on saturday night on our way to a movie, so we were a bit pressed for time. We ordered the supreme dragon roll and the chicken udon noodle dish that came with soup, salad and ice cream. That was a great deal and we highly recommend it. The noodle dish had a wonderful flavour and texture. The salad was a bit in imaginative and ironically the miso soup was bland. Everything else was great. The supreme dragon roll came with shrimp avocado and squid. I nixed the cucumber and it was delicious! The selection is not as wide as other places but they have some original things on the menu: urchin, soft shell crab. The owner, Austin, was our server and he was engaging and knowledgeable.
