This is hands down the best phở in the city! Every dish I’ve had has been so flavourful and generous portion sizes. The prices are reasonable and there’s always ample parking on Montréal Road. Service is quick and friendly. I have two regular dishes, and the awesome owner remembers each time I’m in and asks which one I’ll be having. Nothing like a little personal touch in addition to a quality meal to keep customers coming back. I’m so glad to have such a great little place so close to home!

It’s ok… Broth was not the best Not a lot of rice noodles Ambience was below par. The musics was pop radio music I did like the fact that the rare beef came to me rare and in smaller pieces than usual for easy consumption. I also liked the complimentary tea and the fact that you can customize your phở. From the type of noodles, broth and ingredients added to your phở.

Not sure where the flavour went, but at least delivery came with a friendly smile. I placed my order online and it took them a bit longer than necessary to deliver the food. The pork spring rolls were oily and lacked freshness. The udon noodles with chicken broth dish was practically lacking all kinds of things. The seafood pad Thai was equally bad with just 3 pieces of shrimp and barely any veges even though I paid extra for them. The food was really disappointing.

Delicious food here. Flavorful and healthy. Generous portions for the price. Consistent and as always service with a smile Clean and nicely decorated. Let’s you choose the noodles type and the toppings for the soups And for the dishes… What can I say amazing … Smoothies are really tasty too! They give hot tea on cold days and ice tea on hot days. I feel like I shouldn’t recommend it because it’ll get too busy: D but just doing the right thing. I would definitely invest money into a franchise. My rating 99% only because their not open 24⁄7. Otherwise best Vietnamese resto in town.

Great concept.; you get to customize your phở based on your personal tastes(the wife especially loves this option… happy wife, happy life). The phở is great, it saves us the trek all the way down to Chinatown. Service is wonderful as well.

Finally. A place close to home to get my Phở Fix in without having to compromise or travel across town. Ordered take out a couple of time and truly enjoyed the noodles. Had the pleasure to have a sit down big bowl of Phở last week and it was sublime. I love the style of ordering. Check off Noodle type, broth type and select up to 4 ingredients for the standard cost. Keep on adding what you like for a nominal fee. Tip: The large bowl is WAY large. The broth(beef) was excellent and the amount of ingredients were sufficient enough to not run out before you get near the bottom of the bowl.

Disappointing. Had seafood Pad Thai. The noodles were under cooked and although the shrimp and squid were real I’m quite sure the crab and scallops were not. Service was good and location was convenient but will probably not go again.

I end up here about once a week for lunch, since moving to an office in the area. Love their phở soup and the people are great. They also offer some dishes like pad thai, and some specialty soups. So far my favorite item is the Spicy Tomato Soup. The restaurant itself is simple and clean — even in the middle of winter with wet boots coming in and out, it’s kept remarkably clean. Would I return: Yes. Would I recommend: Yes.

The waiter was incredibly friendly and very prompt with everything. There isn’t much of an ambiance but everything is clean and really its phở not haute cuisine. It is different from your classic phở in that you can build your own. It has a good range of choices as well as a variety of other things for non phở fans. The reason for the 3 stars is that the food was just ok. My wife ordered Pad Thai(divorce worthy IMO), and both of us thought it wasn’t very good. Now they can be forgiven for bad Pad Thai at a phở restaurant, however I thought that both my phở broth and the spring rolls we shared were a small step below our favourite places in Chinatown. All that being said it was still decent and I really did like the ability to customize my soup exactly how I want it. Based on the customization, the location and my all consuming need to eat phở regularly I will certainly be back.

A new favourite in Vanier! My whole family loves Phở La Express: the phở is the way phở should be: super tasty with fresh crunchy toppings — and we love that we can customize our soup with such tasty and interesting alternatives, such as shiitake mushrooms and in my case, vegetables that weren’t on the menu. The young owners(alumni of my other favourite phở place in Chinatown, Phở Bo Ga La) are incredibly sweet, obliging and fun. The space is very clean and modern and just east of the Cummings Bridge so only a very short pilgrimage into Vanier and well worth the trip.

It’s phở ! Express style !! Walk up to the counter, order, sit down, eat ! Good news for people in the area, it’s the same recipe as the La’s in Chinatown. Try the Avacado shake !! It’s fantastic !
