Shiraz Grocery Store

Ethnic grocery stores are the best! I love Shiraz and always go there for there lemon salted almonds. SO tasty! They also have some great Persian desserts too, and I’m a fan of their olives. A must try!

THE BEST hummus in the city! So addictive. A very friendly place & fair prices.

If you want Persian desserts these are your guys.

This place is open long hours (until 9pm daily).
They sell the best nuts in bulk! There are spicy, savoury, and sweet nuts including jumbo cashews (the largest I have seen anywhere).

Get the lemon pistachios. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing small neighborhood grocer, with a focus on Iranian foods. (I love ethnic grocery stores — you find such interesting foods in them.)
The most interesting thing was the different treatments of nuts! There were some flavors I’ve never seen before — lemon pistachio or watermelon — as well as some different takes on trail mixes.
The store smells really good and is very clean and organizes. One can find some unusual groceries, for example pickled grapes. Prices are great too. Baclava and other parties also available, as well a dried fruits.
We bought a little of this and a little of that — favorite item was the peppered cashews, most interesting item was the cinnamon walnuts. Almost any of their nuts would be great as part of a party cheese platter.
This store is a little treasure!

This place is right around the corner from me and I am always popping in for some mango nectar, assorted olives, or some of the great mixed and flavoured nuts available as previous posters have mentioned.
It’s a neighbourhood favourite for some healthy snacks — and I do appreciate the late hours.

You can go nuts in Shiraz. The best pistachios in town — baskets of salted, lemon juiced and lemon salted ones for sale in bulk in large baskets in the centre of the store. Plus lots of other nuts, a good selection of sweets, fresh pita and lots of middle eastern treat smack in the middle of Centretown. Worth a visit.

A hidden gem in Centre Town…
Shriaz market carries an assortment of basics and specialty products such as greek yogurt, feta cheese, Arabic coffee, baklava, spiced nuts and dried fruits. They also sell fresh meat (lamb, chicken, etc…) and have a butcher on-​site.
Shiraz is impeccably clean and the level of customer service is unparalleled for an establishment of this size. I feel lucky to have Shiraz in my neighborhood.
