Bough my latest place of prescription glasses here and I was very happy with the overall experience. First, I happen to come right before a special event with JF Rey eyewear and decided to come back the next day to check it out. Now, I must mentioned that I have generally the impression that all optician are alike and carry the same kind of stuff. Second, if you don’t want the boring type of frames found everywhere, you generally have to look at specialty places and pay quite a bit of money. Iris is a chain and also carry generally the same generic frames as others. I am not sure if Iris carry JF Rey in general or if it is just this store in Outremont but it is a small specialty brand that you usually find at independent. Anyway, my previous frames were IC Berlin which is another specialty brand that I loved but I wanted to explore something different so I came to that event where basically they change all the displays in the store and are showing exclusively JF Rey’s collections(including the women oriented BoZ line) and the company’s representative is present. So the personnel was all extremely nice and helpful and did a superb job in assisting me finding a style that suits me. Oh, did I mentioned that I did absolutely love the JF Rey lines? Yeah, 100% expansion of my brand option(now JF Rey and IC Berlin). A nice thing is that they offer AccorD interest free financing. Being able to spread the price of the new glasses over a year at no fee is a big plus!
