I like Hot stuff, I mean Blazing. I always have Habaneros & Thai Chillis at Home. Every time we are on our way to the cottage I stop in here for a refuel of some Ghost Pepper powder, and some Dave’s Insanity Sauces. They have a Massive selection of sauces and dried chillis and also other Gourmet Cooking items. I highly recommend if you like it HOT. You gotta stop in here if you are in Peterborough.

When I’m looking for unique gifts that are representative of the ‘borough I drop in to Firehouse Gourmet.
Firehouse always has something locally-​made which I can gift to people as a token from my hometown. And they are always happy to let you sample the fare so you know that what you purchase will tickle the taste buds. I also end up usually buying a hot sauce or two, which is a bad habit. And hot. But I digress.
At holiday time be sure to support a local business run by two lovely people!

Wow, I will be returning to this shop for sure! I walked around and realized that I could shop for every occasion for my friends who love food, and who love to cook. Re-​stocked some supplies that had gotten low… and bought a few new things. Try the Aubrey D. Jalapeño Ketchup… it’s got a great kick! A lovely, elegant shop… worth the drive from Gooderham ;-)

Wonderful local business. Knowledgeable staff who seem passionate about their wares. Plenty of selection as well as samples always on hand so you can try before you buy. Products include hot sauces, rubs, salsas and dips, dressings and snacks. Very handy when shopping for a gift for a foodie.
