First time here. Place was awesome. Burger was perfect(had the dropout) and the poutine was fantastic. Staff were cool — met the owner covering for his staff — seemed like a nice guy. Will definitely be back.

Terrible burgers and fries. The fries must be fried in detergent. There was a chemical taste. The burgers were awful. And this place is pricey for a burger joint. Not going back.

Some say their service is horrible; why? This is a burger takeout joint. Do you get table service at McDonald’s? Some have also mentioned that they are overpriced; why? Have you never paid $ 15 for a gourmet burger meal at your local pub? Reggie’s is a gem! Gourmet, made-to-order burgers that are absolutely delicious. Nicely charred, juicy patties and beef that’s. well.beefy. It’s hard to mess up a burger when you have quality patties and you can definitely taste that here. This place can be overwhelming at first. You get a paper type menu where you check the options that you would like and you WILL be overwhelmed at first by the number of options. The burgers do take time as they are prepared fresh so be patient. What you end up with a deliciously satisfying burger!

I was up in the area working. This is the only spot I will have lunch. The food is made fresh and to how you would like. The staff were very smart and friendly. Will help you out in picking out your meal.

My first, I have nowhere to eat so hey let’s see where Unilocal takes me. Reggie’s was the first place it brought up according to where I was. The reviews sealed the deal and I must say, exactly as the reviewers indicate, a nice little burger joint in the middle of the city. Not too expensive(not cheap though). Excellent staff and the food was pretty good. I think I might use this Unilocal thing a bit more.

First time at Reggie’s! Coming all the way from NYC I have tasted burgers from White Castle, Shake Shack and other fine establishments, but Reggie’s turned me into a fan! I got the juicy angus burger with pepperjack and jalapeño with a side of sweet potato fries. Apart from the fact that they didn’t ask me how I wanted my burger cooked, everything was spot on! Would definitely visit again! :)

I have been all over the US and Canada trying burgers from Kobe beef to roadside chip trucks and Reggie’s is the real deal. The Reggie is my fav. Grilled to perfection and topped perfectly with their signature ketchup. Reggie’s is the real gem of Peterborough. 10 out of 5

Good but horrendously overpriced. It’s not as good as the works yet it’s the same price. A burger and fries here should run you $ 10 but it will be more like $ 18

So after never trying Reggie’s we decided to today as they have dropped Heinz ketchup from the menu and created their own. Ordering was simple, fill out your order from a menu and when completed give to the counter person and have a seat. Our order was brought to our seat in about 10 minutes which for food made from scratch this is impressive! Today they are giving out FREE small fries so you can sample the NEW ketchup. First off it taste great and coming from a «Heinz ketchup» lover they have created a real winner. Aside from the free fries our order included sweet potato fries with spicy Cajun dip. Both tasted very good. We all ate burgers as well. One was a veggie and I would say it’s the best one that I ever have eaten. A Reggie burger and kids burger was enjoyed as well. All of us were very pleased with the service and food. A must for all who like us previously had never stopped by Reggie’s. We will go back!

I’ve lost that lovin feeling. Reggie’s used to be a favorite for our entire family. The last few visits have yielded dry burgers, average fries and stressed out, harried servers/cooks.(Even when it wasn’t super busy) Please bring back the quality and FUN!

Wait, stop. A «gourmet» burger joint that DOESN’T charge $ 15 for a burger? Okay, so I’m already interested. Go on… Unless they’ve changed it, they have about the worst, most amateur website I’ve ever seen, one of those sites that is so bad they’d be better off without it. But that doesn’t really matter. I only really am supposed to care about the food. So there I was, driving to Peterborough to work with some time to spare, and hungry. I figured it was finally time to give this place a shot after hearing some rave reviews. Parked in the plaza, walked in, and saw huge sign telling me not to so I moved my car. Then came back and ordered. It’s fool proof. You fill out a little card with what you want, hand it to the friendly counter staff, pay, and have a seat. You’re getting a burger cooked fresh for you and it’s going to be a few minutes, but there’s a warning for that. I had… I can’t remember the name now! Anyhow, a burger with cheese and peameal bacon. That was after I sifted through a number of options which were sufficient to make me decide to just head back at some point. It came dressed as I wanted on a nice egg bun, and with a good sized small fries and curry mayo. Yes. Curry mayo. If you don’t know how good that is, then educate yourself. The burger was nice and juicy without being greasy, had a good flavour to it, and was cooked just about right. toppings ample, all just well balanced. This place is definitely a winner.

I don’t get the hype, possibly one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had. Dry, tasteless and came out cold. If the patty was local and fresh I clearly have no idea what local and fresh tastes like. Seemed like any crummy pre-made diner patty. The poutine was pretty good, at least the curds were, lots of them and fresh, the fries were good too. The gravy that’s supposed to be homemade tastes like canned beef gravy, and it was cold too, so, nice and gloopy, gotta love that! Last but not least, if you have to eat gluten free, like my wife does, they’ve Contaminated their«dedicated gluten free» fryer with the veggie burgers that have wheat in them. The gluten free bun was like a freezer burnt puck. Also, we just watched the episode of you gotta eat here, and apparently they put worcestershire sauce in the burger patties which is NOT gluten free. now my wife is sick as a dog for the day. Good times I don’t know if the new owners have changed things up, but, it’s not good, it might have been good in the past, but it’s not anymore. All for the low low price of $ 27 for two burgers, poutine, fries and two waters

My favourite place for poutine. Burgers are OK until you add lots of toppings and then they are great.

we went there cuz we saw it on «You Gotta Eat Here» the Canadian version of «Diners, Drives-in and Dive», mind you the guy on «You Gotta Eat Here» is not a chef. Also the story about the queen going to Reggies in 2002… So we decided to jump in the car and try those Royal hamburgers. The concept is great; on a slip you pick the hamburger, toppings and condiments I usually don’t eat hamburgers cuz I can taste all the fat on ground meat, but wanted to try Reggies Reggies is far from great or royal. Plain and simple, tasteless meat and yes lots of fat, on the other hand ingredients are fresh. BTW, my girlfriend(a certified chef) had the fries and told me they were blanched(twice fried) Customer service, I wasn’t impressed, but is a Hamburger p. lace so i wasn’t there to be impress with their customer service, plus I’m not Royalty…

Great place for fries, cooked right and they use real curds. Great gravy too. Burgers are pretty decent, not the best I’ve ever had but best in Peterborough anyways. Staff are so friendly. Love it.

Having grown up on the East Side I’m proud to take out of towners to Reggie’s for a good poutine. I’ve never tried anything else. Mmmmm, Reggie’s poutine. I even saw Reggie when I was there once, I think…

Really good hamburgers, I love the set up with filling out your own order forms. I only wish the setting was more welcoming. But this place is nice for a quick lunch, that’s not fast food, but is fast food, if you get what I’m saying.

Attention Toronto cottage goers! Have you ever driven 2 – 3 hours towards Bancroft and just wished you could get yourself some decent Unilocal-able food?! Well this was exactly the position I was in last weekend and man am I happy I had Unilocal on my iPhone and could find this place! So Reggie’s is a cool burger dinner that seems to be always filled with locals… Here you can get an array of burgers… I went with three people and we were all impressed. Now, I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star burger, but when you’re driving through Peterborough on the way to the cottage, it definitely doesn’t get any better. Expect excellent burgers with in a cool atmosphere. Check this place out! PS — I had the burger with peameal bacon and cheese :)

For locals familiar with Reggie’s, it was purchased in 2013 by the owners of another neighbourhood business, East City Bakery. We have eaten there many times since and the menu has stayed exactly the same. The only differences have been for the positive. They are now using freshly made buns from East City Bakery around the corner. There seems to be a bit more consistency with the orders so the burgers are perfect every time. Our teenage son has become a big fan of their poutine and it is classically topped with a mound of local cheese curds and gravy. Reggie’s Hot Grill is a great place to get a terrific burger. They use quality ingredients, fresh veggies, Canadian beef, and the best burger buns around. They are sloppy, two-handed burgers, extra napkins advisable. The inventive house-made sauces & toppings are great! The Blue Bayou combines blue cheese and chipotle for a sauce that is delish. The El Feta Chicken uses whole chicken breast and tops it with a tasty creamy feta & dill sauce. Their Lip Smackin’ mustard sauce is another favourite. The specials are always inventive and tasty. They offer beef and veggie patties, chicken sandwiches, and sausages. Reggie’s burgers will definitely fill you up but if you still have room, regular or sweet potato fries will take care of that. There is a long list of custom toppings available ensuring that the burger is made just the way you like it. Staff is incredibly friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the aroma of the grill is mouthwatering.
