I was referred this inspection company by my realtor after I made my offer to purchase my house. What a big mistake it was! For over $ 700, I got a useless general home reference book which does not pertain to my house at all. The inspector was not professional in terms of carrying out the inspection. He did not ask for attic access and on did not even check the taps and drainage. In fact he missed a leak at the connection with the boiler which was discovered after we moved in. It cost me several hundreds of dollars to fix it and the repair guy said the piping for boiler is not done well and lacks professionalism. I One o the drain plug for my bathroom did not even operate at all. The inspection report was lacking in detail and he did not even bother to take me thru everything on the report to point out all the problems. I have used other home inspectors in the past and this one is by far the very worst that I have worked with. Stay away from this company and don’t trust your realtor recommendation for home inspection. If I can give«0» stars, I would!

I used James Dobney to do an inspection on a new condo purchase. The inspector failed to notice that the vent for the bathroom was blocked off during construction, despite there being other noted damage from high humidity in the five year old building. The rest of the inspection was fine, but I would have appreciated a higher attention to detail and more detailed feedback and recommendations from the report.
