This is a really unforgettable experience. The ambience of the water features on the wall, the fine dining atmosphere and of course the revolving scenery. The food was excellent — I had the Butcher’s Choice which is a changing selection depending on the cuts of meat they’ve acquired. It was duck breast and it tasted almost as hearty and savoury as a steak, without the heaviness or weight in your stomach. It was delicate yet extraordinarily satisfying, served on top of a mixed side of potatoes, broccoli, onions and pomegranate. I also shared a lobster bisque with a crab croûton — the bisque was incredible, the crab croûton was a nice texture but slightly bland. If they had only served the toasted bread as the croûton, I wouldn’t have any negative thing to say. This place is worth checking out, but mind the price. I came in January, where they had a deal with other restaurants to try to bolster tourism income, where you get a 2nd main/entrée off. So we had four people, and two of the meals were half price. This is worth a trip if you’re in Quebec for a few days to a week. Probably not worth going twice.

Went here for a work party, I had heard alot of good things about this place, we went for supper time, let me start by saying the view was amazing. The restaurant is on the top of the hotel Concorde and spins, it takes about an hour and a half to do a FL rotation of the whole city. I started off with the crevettes de roche with a celery purée, and had a main course of macreuse de boeuf with a side salad. Both was amazing. The presentation was nice as well. Service was top of the line too. I was not disappointed and will probably try and be back, the view in fall with the fall colours would be very nice I think

What better way to warm yourself after exploring the Plains of Abraham on a chilly day than to go to the top of a hotel and take in the amazing vistas of Quebec city while enjoying some quality food? A lot of restaurants like these are gimmicky, relying on novelty and views to make up for the fact that you wouldn’t step foot in the place if it were on street level. Ciel! on the other hand is a fantastic experience all around.

Our host in Quebec City suggested us this place, because of it’s view and because he thought we’d enjoy a good local cuisine. He wasn’t all too wrong, but also not all on point. First — you need to make a reservation, especially if you want to have dinner here. We only stayed in town for two nights so it was a bit of a shortnotice. Plus side is, you can make a reservation online. We made it for an early afternoon lunch since dinner time was full until 10pm. The place is not hard to find, it actually sticks out a bit. The elevator takes you up to the highest floor and then a bit of a grumpy waitress takes you to your seat. Yes, we were only dressed casually, but so were most people. I get it, that you dress more formal for a dinner, but this was in the middle of the day and besides, I don’t really carry a dress, suit and tie with me on vacation. And tourists are well-welcomed in this city, except for this place, obviously The wait time is a bit too long, but this waitress was at least nice(compared to the first one). Her English was a bit on the poor side, but she tried hard, which I appreciated. She brought us drinks and menu. There are different ones for lunch and dinner, the dinner one being longer than the lunch one(shucks). There’s not much to decide from. Sometimes this can be a very good thing, on the other occasions(such as was the case here), a bad one. There were two appetizers and 4 main courses. We were choosing between bad options and tried to find the lest awful one, which was a Cheese Platter for me(that’s something French would consider a course in between main meal and dessert — so not something you’d really be full of afterwards) and Cold Meat Platter for my husband. This was too little for lunch(the meals are more on the fancy side, but I’ve had smaller ones too) so we also ordered a Soup of the Day — Carrot. The food was good and very nicely presented — also local(or so we were told). The dessert was something that I was looking forward to, cause I was still hungry. It did not disappoint — sponge cake with dark and white chocolate mousse, drizzled with caramel sauce. Very, very good indeed. Don’t be too shocked when the check arrives. :) It could be cheaper, but then again, it’s not a restaurant you go to every day and you do get a nice view in that one hour(whole 360°). The staff could be friendlier and I’d appreciate a longer menu. This was a one time only experience.

Came here for my birthday with the family. Made reservations two nights before with no issues. When we arrived the sun was just starting to set, which made for the most beautiful view of the city. We were seated promptly, and ordered drinks shortly after. The server was very patient with us and answered all our questions about the menu. For appetizers we had escargot as well as the scallops ceviche. Both were very tasty. For our main, 3 of us had the braised veil cheeks. Which were so very good. I would go back just to have those. My sister ordered the guinea fowl which she said was good, but didn’t have enough flavour for her liking. And then my brother had flat iron steak, and he loved every bite of it. For dessert we us the chocolate, the strawberry and rhubarb pie and some whisky. Dessert was amazing. Overall I loved every moment being in the restaurant, they even put sparklers in my pie for my birthday. So that was a nice surprise. Would definitely go back here in a heartbeat!

We weren’t planing on going for dinner here but are glad we did. A roof top revolving restaurant just screams 1982. It takes just about an hour for you to make a full rotation so you do get to see the whole city during your meal. For our starters we had the sauted Tuma cheese with oyster mushrooms and fried polenta as well as the deer carpaccio. We enjoyed them both very much but the Tuma I would consider outstanding. Our mains were the braised veal cheeks and the sweetbreads. The veal was incredibly tender and flavourful but the sweetbreads were a little disappointing. They came with a white bean stew with lobster mushrooms but the beans were nearly raw and tough to eat. We can’t comment on desert as we were never offered any or a second glass of wine. The restaurant didn’t seem to be overly busy but that didn’t stop our waiter from disappearing to the point were we felt abandoned.

Fantastic view of Quebec City. If accounting for the view as well, definitely worth the prices. Mains for dinner were in the $ 30 range which was not too bad. Make sure you go early to get a table by the window. The veal cheeks was the highlight of our meal. We didn’t get the porchetta but it looked good as well. Appetizer highlight was the deer carpaccio. Dessert wasn’t anything to write home about and can probably be skipped.

Went there with in-town family members who highly recommended the food here. Absolutely everything we had from the flank steak to the barley risotto was amazing! The views, of course, are completely unparalleled. The restaurant is on a revolving platform so no matter where you sit the view is ever changing and stunning! The desserts were not to be missed! We had a flaky pastry with a crème custard, a brownie with chocolate mousse and a lemon meringue éclair. So good! Coffee rounded out our evening. We were a large party and service was excellent! It was not fast — but who would want it to be?! Wonderful!
