Came here the other day at lunch time. Was hoping to eat at the restaurant next door but seemed closed. figured we would try it out. I don’t know why I ever doubted this place. The food was amazing. Had the flying pig burger and it is definitely one of my favs now. I’ve been thinking about the burger for 4 days now wanting to go back to eat it again. The service was good and it didn’t take long for the food to arrive. I give it four stars because I didn’t enjoy the side that much. I had the warm chips and dip. It was good but far too crispy for my liking. But the burger was 5 stars out of 5

We were in town from Red Deer for the local MMA fights my boyfriend and some friends fought in earlier that evening. The«official afterparty» was across the parking lot and was embarrassingly understaffed. We went across the lot to Fionn MacCool’s and were pleasantly surprised. An energetic live band was playing — but were mixed well enough that the noise level was reasonable. We could enjoy the music AND carry on a conversation Unfortunately, we came quite late and the kitchen was closed when I asked. I asked if there were even a couple appies we could order as the athletes we were with were STARVED and we had been at the venue all night. The servers asked the kitchen and came out and produced a Late Night menu. We gratefully ordered some appies. THANKS MacCool’s kitchen staff! You guys are life savers and we REALLY appreciate it! From there, we enjoyed efficient and really friendly service from our adorable server, Brooke. We’d never been to Fionn MacCools, but we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. (Although if I could make a request — I wish their chicken wings weren’t breaded and I wish they had Strongbow on tap, or at least in a can)

I love this place for the sangria and an amazing band called Sweet Vintage Rides! The burgers are awsome fries are great but dislike the gravey very much. Friday unfortunately friends of mine went there for a birthday Party and the band was playing slower music so everyone left early. We also heard that they will be your New Years Eve party music maybe rethink that idea. So Fionn Machools keep the upbeat bands playing because your atmosphere is awsome! And that is what people come for.

A few of us went here for a coworkers bridal shower lunch and it was great. They put us in a perfect spot, let us decorate and had great service and food. Every liked their lunch and the waitress was around often but not too much or too little. This place was chosen after three of us had gone for after work drinks and appys. Was so delightful, the bride-to-be wanted us all to go back. Was impressed and satisfied twice in a row within two months. I’m looking forward to returning again soon.

Red Deer is not a food destination in my mind. Sorry Red Deer, I’ll go to Edmonton or Calgary for food adventures. But if you’re in Red Deer(and I actually like Red Deer) and want to grab a bite, I’d highly recommend Fionn MacCools. A part of the Prime Pubs chain, Fionn MacCool’s is your«typical Irish Pub». The kind of place where you’d expect ok prices(no deals), great service, and so so food. How did the expectations live up to the real thing? 1. Great food! The menu destroyed my expectations 2. Prices: normal not high not low 3. Service: I expect high service from Prime Pub chains, and they didn’t disappoint . I had the Guinness poutine with the Quebec cheese curds. Tasty! Not too salty, gooey cheese and a share able size for $ 10. They offer Sunday brunch a practice a lot of gastropubs are doing nowadays and I highly approve. One of brunch companions got the omelette and it looked great. Huge, really good value. Why Did it get 4 stars? Clean, Professional Lots of Free parking Exceptional food menu. Great service staff Why didn’t it get 5 stars Value for money is adequate but not great Children allowed in till 8pm. Sorry no kids should be in my gastropub, that’s what Moxie’s is for. @finnmccoolspub @primepubs

I haven’t been here for a while, so I figured I’d stop by for a late lunch. It was a really nice day so I didn’t blame anyone for not being there(I think there were one or two tables with people, so it was pretty much dead)(weird hour for anyone to be there anyway). But that didn’t matter to me. Hunger is hunger. So I ordered the Guinness burger, with fries. I gotta say, where Browns Social House falls short is the fries. This place gives you as many fries as you really need as a side. And the burger was unique. I’m a bit of a burger snob — if it doesn’t wow me, a place will get no more than 3 stars, usually. I’d order it again. Their beer on tap isn’t a massive selection, but I feel the beers they do have cover a pretty good spectrum of tastes. Also cool, and it really doesn’t reflect on the number of stars, but for the first time, someone(one of the servers) actually recognized my Blue Stahli shirt. lol. Way to go Red Deer, your taste in music is improving!

Most amazing food and appetizers! And best Irish chips and love mayo dip with them, worth the upgrade.

Came here for drinks on the patio(when it was still hot outside!). Nice Irish pub that we have passed by so many times. We took a look at the menu and want to come back for dinner. Good atmosphere, can’t wait to come back to try their food!

Very good. Cool atmosphere. Irish pub/restaurant I had the Fishermans Chowder to start. Thick soup, big chucks of meat and veggies. Chicken Tikka Masala, although not Irish was very tasty. The rice was delicious. Naan could have been better but the rest makes up for it.
