Came here on a Sunday out of curiosity. I read so many great reviews and really wanted to have something fun to do that’s different with my boyfriend. The place is very clean and has big windows that let the sun shine in which was nice! We were welcomed by friendly staff that showed us around and let us know about all the fun projects we could do! We immediately felt like we were at home and helped ourselves to find a piece of pottery to paint, sat down and were there for a good 3 hours painting! We brought our own coffee which nobody said anything. They should have snacks and coffee that would be nice and maybe some better music to help us get into our creative zone. But other than that it was so fun! They gave us a ton of brushes, paint and let us get creative and do what ever we wanted! It can get pricey though… Make sure you read the bottom of your pottery to see how much they are and don’t forget to CHECKINFOR A 10 $ OFFCOUPON! ;)

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 3 to try some glass fusing, it is one of the only glass fusing places in the area. It was $ 30 for a 7.5“x5″ plate. We were given the plate and very brief instruction by a female staff member, we were left a bit confused and just went with it. We grabbed the materials off the shelf and since we were the only ones doing it at the time, we were able to keep everything on our table. The female staff member walked away to the back and never helped us out again until it was time to cash out. The glass itself was too difficult to cut, but definitely hard to make perfect shapes! There was a male staff member(to be honest, we arent even sure if he even worked there he said his daughter worked there and he just helps out while waiting for her…) he was very friendly, had a great chat with us and gave us some tips. I ended up getting a small cut from the shrapnel, he was there to help right away with disinfectant spray and a bandaid, where was the actual store employee? no where in sight. Overall it was a fun activity for a few hours, it felt a bit expensive for what it was and is probably just a one time activity for myself.

Decided to do something special with my mom for her birthday. Making pottery seemed like just the kind of experience that she’d enjoy. Let me say the pottery wheel is much harder than it looks. Don’t try to rush it or it’ll end up lopsided or flying right off the wheel. The staff was very helpful, was definitely worth it especially with the 25% coupon that was available on their website. After you make your pottery piece you have to leave it to get fired. Return jn a couple of weeks to paint it, then it gets fired again after a week it’s ready for pickup. My piece didn’t turn out as planned, but it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I came here because it was a rainy day and we didn’t know what else to do and since I’ve been meaning to try this for a while, we figured we’d drop in. I looked up places on-line and came across either glaze craze or your fired and there was a better rating for glaze craze and that it was cheaper. Being on a student budget, we opted for glaze craze. Plus there was a $ 10 coupon off via Unilocal so that made things even cheaper! When we got there, the place was small but homey. Service was great, everyone was very friendly. There wasn’t much that I wanted to paint but eventually tried this dish that I figured could be used for jewellery. My boyfriend went for iron man. It was very fun, we spent almost two hours there just chatting and enjoying the time. It wasn’t too busy there so that was nice. There are a bunch of colours and overall was a very nice experience. Both my boyfriend and I had a great time! We actually got hungry during this and luckily there was a McD nearby. The staff was great and allowed people to bring food in too haha. Will be updating this when we pick our things up!

Came with my mom here on a Sunday afternoon. People of all ages came in to the shop. OPTIONSANDEQUIPMENT: There were lots of options for items to paint, such as vases, plates, jewellery containers, mugs, ornaments, pot spoon holders etc. They had lots of different paint colours to choose from and all different sizes of brushes. Available for use is also stamps, sponges, stencils of letters, shapes etc. There was also glass fusing available. AMBIENCE/SETTING: They had a good music station playing, to listen to while you’re having good conversation or quietly concentrating on your fine painting details. STAFF: The staff was really friendly in explaining how everything worked, then they left us to do our own thing and enjoy ourselves, but they were always available to answer questions. PREPANDCLEANUP: We didn’t have to do any prep or clean up and there was no «studio fee» like other businesses. If you get any paint on your hands, it washes off really super easy. No hand scrubbing required. BTW: They also have a party room. Oh! And there is no sign above the store; its just on the windows. It’s beside«Scholars» near the McDonalds. CONs: The only thing about this shop is that unfortunately they don’t take reservations. INCONCLUSION: I totally recommend this place to bond, express and develop your creativity, and create lasting memories!

Great place for kids parties! Had my daughter’s 6th birthday there and everybody had a blast. My only complaint is that there is no sign on the building making it hard for those who don’t know where the location is to find it.

Every time we go to the GLAZECRAZE we have such a great time! That’s me, my young kids, sister, niece, nephew and both grandma’s. This arts shoppe is bright and cheerful as well as the owner, Karin, who I’d classify as the Queen of Art. She is sooooo talented when it comes to ART. She can create porceline pieces to paint, she can arrange a party right in the store, she has a knack for making you welcome and relaxed. There is a wide assortment of objects that you can paint. All around the store hang masterpieces of platters, plates she has so colorfully designed, and there are cups, mugs, bowls, etc. to chose from. Little hands can make creative pieces, and big hands, like us mom’s and dad’s do enjoy the peace and quiet, the company of others and the helpful hints from Karin when we undertake a new project. She can teach you pottery and the first time it’s a lot of fun, and you will bring home an item that looks fairly good. There isn’t anything Karin can’t do. She has taken colorful photographic images and you will see them hung in the front of her store; and she show cases new items all the time. She has bottles that have been fired and made as funky cheese trays. Karin is so multi-talented and Glaze Craze is a whirl-wind of activity.
We go there regularly, and love to make gifts for others. You can also make a necklace, earrings and other gems or you can make beautiful candy dishes, frames and an assortment of useful items. I love making fused glass dishes for that special time of year. I totally recommend the Glaze Craze to everyone.

The Glaze Craze is a dream for any aspiring crafters or people looking to add an artistic spin on a party. Located in both Thornhill and Brampton, this pottery palace is both accessible and amazing when it comes to hosting a gathering that goes beyond just eating pizza and cake. To make the party planning process simple, once you book, you pick your party package according to your budget, select pieces from hundreds in the studio and select paints from a huge colour palette. For before and after, the staff take care of setup and clean up! As for pieces, you can pick anything to paint — animal collectibles, mugs, bowls, plates, teapots, piggy banks and more. Aside from parties, the Glaze Craze offers lessons, camps or just drop-in appointments for people who want to destress by participating in this creative activity.
