With so many sushi places in Richmond it’s tough to say one place really stands out from the other. We can conclude that alot of places have very similar items that they sell and the most typical such as the maki’s sushi’s, sushi and etc. Bone sushi I would have to say falls into that category that just does typical normal sushi. Nothing special. They have some specialty rolls which I find pretty good and not bad. But seeing their overall menu, there’s not much choice and it’s a bit boring. But I must say that what Bone sushi does well in are their competitive sushi platters. The platters are alot more worth the quantity and price instead of getting individual sushi’s and rolls. But it’s all on personal preference. Everytime I am thinking of ordering from Bone’s I always go platter(more than just me eating or else I would be a fatass lol). Since they have a pretty good choice of different platters, you can get the best of both worlds if you’re craving rolls and sushi or just maki’s. All in all not bad place, but pretty standard stuff. Thumbs up : — Platters — Some specialty rolls — Good location(Parker place) Thumbs down: — Not a lot of choice — Expensive for rolls and maki’s — Ordering a bunch of individuals items comes up to or more than a platter — Kinda slow even for take-out

The best sushi I’ve ever had. They made the sushi creatively and it’s very delicious. I recommand Monkey Banana Roll and the golden crispy sth and aburi sushi. The decoration of the small sushi restaurant is special.

Tucked away at the corner of Empire Center next to a sex shop is Bone Sushi. It’s an odd location, so I’ve always kept it as an option in the back of my mind. They offer both eat in and take out and are operated by Chinese. The interior is extremely colourful with pictures of their dishes plastered all over the walls. They are known for their creative rolls and many say they are decently priced for the quality of the sushi. You can also enter Bone Sushi from the inside of the Empire Centre mall. Limited seating, but it wasn’t very busy during our visit as we went quite early. Still, we decided to just grab take out. Even though they are known for their creative rolls, S and I opted for the more typical stuff. S got the Beef Teriyaki Roll, which were decent sized and had a good amount of filling to rice ratio. He did find that the beef was a bit hard to chew for some. S also got the California Roll which again was nicely made. I decided to go for Sushi Combo B which had a roll of Salmon and Tuna Maki as well as Tuna and Salmon Nigiris. I thought the sashimi was fresh and the rolls were constructed well. A decent price at $ 7.50 for my combo. Overall, I wouldn’t mind coming here again for take out or even dine in. Service was pretty friendly too. Pros: — Fresh and well-constructed — Reasonable price Cons: — Odd location

Wanted some quick sushi. Ordered by phone and picked up a combo A and dynamite roll combo. Good value for money clean taste and proper portions. Only downside is location. It is located right on No. 3 road. Next to the adult shop. In an Asia strip mall and if your not paying attention it’s easy to miss. Also parking can be a bit challenging. I’d order again and plan my visit accordingly.

My friends and I would drive all the way to Richmond late at night JUSTFORBONESUSHI, then drive back home(we’d love to dine in but we often come right before they close). They have some pretty creative sushi choices and everything I’ve tried so far were all delicious and amazing. This is a small restaurant with a handful of tables and staff is very friendly and attentive. I haven’t dine here during peak hours though, we often arrive a few minutes before they close and so we’re the only customers present. Speaking of arriving a few minutes before closing, they are more than willing to serve you at the last minute(just make sure to call before hand!). The first time I went here, I had a difficult time looking for their location as it was along No. 3 road. But I called them and they explained where they are located and as I was walking towards No. 3 road, I saw them peeking out from their front door while holding a phone and giving me directions. I thought that was very kind and quite funny too. A couple of times I’ve ordered 15 pieces of salmon nigiri for myself, and another time 20 pieces. The staff were shocked when they learned that all 20 pieces are just for myself. But hey, this place has the cheapest and most delicious salmon nigiri I’ve had by far for just a dollar per piece(compared to $ 1.75 or $ 1.95 at other establishments). The serving of salmon per piece is very generous too! Please don’t change your prices, bone sushi! I’ve also tried their rainbow roll, philadelphia roll, caterpilar roll, etc. and they were all amazing! I can’t wait to try more of their rolls with my friends. The décor and atmosphere in this restaurant is very unique and chill. It’s very fun to look around and take in the details while waiting for your order. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi and great service.

Delicious! We were in Richmond for a concert at the River Rock Casino Resort and we decided to have some sushi before the show. Ordered: Salmon sashimi Agedashi tofu Kimchi Gyoza Negitoro roll Spicy tuna roll Rainbow roll Not only was the food really yummy, but the service was super attentive. Our tea never ran out, our waitress asked how everything was repeatedly, and our dishes were cleared promptly, after asking if we had had enough to eat. Kyle had a couple of «downsides»(all minor, and just things to note): No sunomono No alcohol No ginger with the sashimi I can’t wait to dine at Bone Sushi again.

One of the best sushi places in Richmond, bar none. You really have to look for this place, as you may see it while driving by on No.3, but not if you’re inside the strip mall parking lot. Parking is available, but it’s a freaking war zone here. The lot is simply not big enough. The interior is somewhat«travel-themed» — it’s actually quite cute. It’s quite cozy — comparable to Sushi Mania or(to a lesser degree) Sushi Garden. I would recommend being in a group of no more than 6 – 8. The staff here are all Chinese, which means you won’t get the world’s most authentic sushi, but they do a pretty fine job. The food is very delicious overall — no complaints at all. One thing I got a kick out of was the wooden paddles that they use to serve your food. I almost wanted to take mine home. If you have a group event, takeout party trays can be had as well. Highly recommended.
