If I had a choice this place would have zero stars! The food is so awful and so bland. It is way overpriced for what you get and not even worth it.

I go to the River Rock frequently eat at the buffet and do the upscale restaurant in the hotel. The lounge however did not meet that standard. Went on a Sunday night with some girlfriends we sat on the patio and it took 15 mins for the waiter to come and see us to give us our menu. We ordered our drinks and it took another 15 mins for him to bring it as we first ordered our drinks we asked for water as well and he forgot to bring it for us. After 45 mins and finally getting our drinks we were were ready to order. I asked the waiter about the mussel and clams as there were three sauces to order from that I wasn’t familiar with at all except for the thai curry. His reply was«well i’m not sure» I asked if he could find out as we are interested very much to know. He leaves and comes back after 10 and asks if we are ready to order I asked if he found out what those sauces were he said he forgot and left. Came back after another 10 mins and told us. I decided to order the one that had white wine and leeks and my friend ordered the thai curry. We waited 30 mins for the food and when it came he forgot the bread. One of the waiters spilled water everywhere on my friend as well. I took one of my mussels and knew it wasn’t right. It reminded me of someone pouring water in with about 5 cloves of garlic, no seasoning no salt at all. My friend ordered the thai curry and when it came it wasn’t thai curry but another tomato based one and to be honest that flavour was even worse than mine was. I think campbell’s tomato soup was better then hers. The waiter forgot our bread and it took him 20 mins to bring it. When I told him about the mussels he said oh okay well let me get the manager. I waited and waited and by this time I was tired. 30 mins late he brings our bills I mention to him if he had a chance to get the manager and he said oh no sorry I forgot i’ll get her. He brings her and I explain the situation. If I could I would give the manager five stars however the food, the service the waiter and the whole experience doesn’t even deserve a half star. I would never go there again. If I didn’t already know how great the buffet and the restaurants upstairs was I would be so disgusted with this place.

This review is solely based on my experience one time with one bartender named Allan — who greeted us warmly as soon as we sat at the bar, read what kind of mood we were in and offered up something that he thought would settle well with the meal at the buffet we just had. He served us with espresso vodka on the rocks. It was delicious! I often don’t drink alcohol on the rocks and certainly not vodka, but this was yummy and it absolutely did feel nice after stuffing my face at the buffet. He chatted with us a little and we wanted to try the Earl Grey Martini, but he also wanted to make something off menu so we got one of the earl grey and one of his creation. Both were fantastic and boozey. We hung out to watch the first period of the game but our date night had ended so it was time to get going. The bill was pretty high, so this wouldn’t be a drinking hole for me, but it was a nice way to end off our night and we’re glad we had the bartender that we did!

River rock has many flaws unfortunately and today curve lounge became the worst of them all. We came tonight hoping to have a chill, cozy night at the bar with a couple of cocktails and good stories. It was packed for an early Friday night so we walked around a bit, got a drink at the bar before finally finding a spot by the wall in the lounge. We seated ourselves as we passed by several servers and eventually made eye contact with one to help us with adding a chair. Okay so far. Though I was almost done with my tiny Greyhound. After about 15 min, we flag someone for a menu. Another 5 min later, the manager comes over to take our order. We start with truffle fries and ask if we can keep our menu for ordering dessert later. The truffle fries come. Look and smell good so far. As we start to dive in we wonder ‘why are these fried so tiny.’ Dump them out on the plate to realize they were all end pieces. Thanks for the leftovers… We ask the manager to get us some new fries that aren’t end pieces. She doesn’t really get what we are asking for so goes to the bar to discuss with 3 other staff members. 20 min later– a waitress(our 1st interaction with her) comes out with truffle fries. Much better. By now our glasses are empty, even my water glass… No service, everyone is just chatting away at the bar… Around 11 pm we are ready for some dessert. Flag the manager, she tells us: kitchen closed at 10:30. Um… no one told us in the hour we’ve been sitting here. She goes ‘oh I’ll let your waitress know’. Manager basically blames server who hasn’t served us, probably didn’t even know we were hers since the manager was the one that left us with menu at the start. Waitress apologizes, takes care of the fries, asks if we want more drinks before leaving us alone. Nobody came to clean the table, no apology from managers. Lots more chatting at the corner of the bar. We left to get dessert at the White Spot instead. That was delicious… How disappointing River Rock.

I came to this lounge at River Rock Casino for a reunion dinner with an ex coworker. She picked this restaurant. I never tried it. The only thing I liked about this restaurant was the service. The waiters and waitresses treated the customers very well; they were very polite and patient. They would introduce the drinks and food to us. Awesome! However, the food that my ex coworker and I ordered was fig and blue flatbread and mussels. The flatbread was alright. But the mussels were the worst that I ever had. Their dish of mussels looked big, but when I looked at each one of the mussels, all of them were extremely tiny that I couldn’t really taste the mussel flavour other than the red sauce the restaurant used for the dish. I had mussels at Les Faux Bourgeois in Vancouver. I paid a bit more on the dish, but their mussels were big, fat, juicy and delicious and they came with crispy and crunch fries!!! I would not want to come back to this restaurant unfortunately. If you really want to eat real food with good quality, you cannot find it here. Sorry!

Met some friends there last Friday night. We got there around 6:30 and since there were 8 of us I thought we would have to wait but we didn’t. They quickly seated us and brought us our menus and took our drink orders. We didn’t have to wait very long for our food and we all enjoyed our meals from the fish and chips to the salmon dinner to the pasta with prawns. Our server was very good and she didn’t rush us out even though it was a Friday night. I would certainly go back and eat there again.

First off, the only reason why I downloaded this app was to write a review on this place. Let me count the ways why the service is absolute garbage here: — we entered the restaraunt and asked if it was okay to sit on the patio and the response was«uh…yeah» –Took us 15 minutes to even get a menu to our table — It was crazy hot out and we were trying to put up an umbrella over our table but it wasn’t going to fit. A server comes over and says«well THATS not going to work» and takes the umbrella away from us without offering any other options. — while we were here TWO people complained to the manager about not being served –Our table and every other table on the patio had to go inside to ask to be served more drinks by the staff that were inside chatting… Many were also sitting with payment out on the table for over 15 minutes ready to go I could go on but I’m currently waiting to see if our server is going to bother coming back to bill us… It’s a waste of time coming here! Too bad because the food is good :(

Top notch service, bar staff and hostess were super friendly and helpful. A good selection of local craft beers such as Fourwinds pale ale and my favorite Phillips hop circle ipa. I enjoyed the Cobb salad although I would pass on the wings, the maple Siracha wings were more sweet than anything else.

I arrived at Curve lounge with a companion at around 2030 on May 9th with the intention of having a couple of drinks and a bite to eat before joining friends at the casino for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, we left about 20 minutes later without having spent a single penny. The server on the patio took about 10 – 15 minutes just to acknowledge our presence with a ‘I’ll be right with you’ before proceeding to take the orders of 2 groups who had arrived after us. We waited another several minutes and left. It may very well have been an honest mistake, but I believe this mistake would not have occurred had he not been intoxicated and intent on hitting on the teenage girls at the table next to ours. This was especially disappointing as the service there has been good in the past. I was insulted and will not be dining there again.

Here for work(conference), so have spent a lot of time at Curve. Didnt get off to the best start, but the place has grown on me, my recommendation would be get the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It is fantastic, the bacon jam on the sandwich is delicious. The service staff and the bar staff are helpful but tou need to get past the gatekeeper and things get better.

Went to the Curve last night to meet a friend. The place was nearly empty but after I had waited for 10 minutes I was still not getting served at our table. Even though there were 3 staff wandering around doing nothing. After getting a beer at the bar, we then had to wait at least 5 – 10 minutes every time with empty glasses before getting refills. And then it was only because we raised our hand to the waitress. Numerous time she walked past and looked at our empty glasses and kept walking. The food was so so, the lamb sliders very dry and boring and the ribs did not live up to their billing. The place as still not busy, not more than 8 people in the interior area and not many outside. Instead of staying for another hour and spending money, we left. Pathetic service.

Just had drinks and appies on the patio after work. On a sunny day it’s a great place to chill and eat. We were a group of 8 and seating was not an issue for large groups. They have daily drink specials. The appies were good.

It seems as though the rest of the River Rock Resort and this place just don’t line up. We had mediocre food, terse service and an awkward time with the REALLYLOUD planes flying overhead. I am sad because we loved the rest of our stay at this resort/casino but this place needs some major help. The prices were high, the food wasn’t great and again, we had service that seemed forced and had to track our waitress down twice to even get served. The outside seating was awkward for eating but the weather was gorgeous at sunset so we picked there to get a meal, he got the wings — for $ 14 that was quite, well, overpriced. I got the flatbread and asked for no onions, our waitress was incredibly rude about the ‘special request’ acting as if I was crazy to want it any other way than as listed. We had cider at $ 8/each it was way too expensive as well. I wouldn’t go back there to eat, but I’ll happily return to the resort.

The service was good and for someone that does not like fish, or any food with fish, then this is the best place to go for something different and get something great. I got the Raising Arizona(pork chop) and it was truly one of the best dishes I have had. The first bite will make you wait a minute and enjoy every second and others would wish they would have ordered the same. The price is $ 19.00 and worth every penny. You will want to get this every time. The only reason the place did not get a 5 star is that the outside sitting gets a plane fly over every 5 minutes, so I would suggest setting inside with the TVs. Even though the outside looks nice, it is loud every 5 minutes.

Went to Curve to watch the Canucks game after a relaxing massage at the absolute. Lulu lounge inside the casino was already packed with gamblers, and the food court had very small TVs. Surprised that Curve lounge still had empty seats. Over the course of three hours, the service was so-so, with sometimes being super attentive, and other times invisible. The waitress was clearly trying to rake in as many orders as possible without giving a damn. As the bf says — her voice sounds like she really cares but if you look at her face, she’s not even paying attnetion, or will say something to you while walking off in the middle of a sentence. The caesars were ok, with olives by request, in addition to a pickled bean. They have a few beer and wine options as well. We ordered a small snack to share — chicken skewers with vermicelli — the chicken was well cooked, but the noodles were WAY undercooked like it was boiled in water for 10 seconds. I understand that there is the fish sauce to pour over the noodles, but there is no way that the sauce is going to soften the noodles when it is not hot. And if you can’t cook noodles properly. then I really don’t know what else to say. I understand the casino is obvioulsy more expensive, but at $ 15 for that dish, I can probably get it for $ 5 bucks at a traditional viet place, for that portion, and perfectly cooked. grab a drink, watch the game, and leave. Don’t expect anything great out of this place. The only think you’ll be cheering about is if the Canucks win.

Classy and cozy place for drinks, but a bit overpriced. Service was nice and prompt, and very professional. Cocktails are $ 12 for a double(I couldn’t find a «single» option), and beers are $ 7 for a domestic bottle, $ 8 for an import. Atmosphere is great for a chat though. Has just the right amount of background noise from other people and the slots, but the carpeting muffles gets rid of any echoes. Great décor, with the lit bar area. It’s also far enough from the casino area so you don’t get much traffic either, which is nice. Not too much to say. You’ll spend a few extra bucks, but the ambience makes it worthwhile.

The macaroni and cheese dish, with a name such as «ultimate» or «exquisite»(it escapes me now) is worthy of its moniker. A rich, creamy blend of camembert cheese and two other cheeses along with truffle oil made this dish a sensory explosion of taste for my mouth. The crispy lardon provided a nice counterbalance to the softness of the noodles. The tapas-style portion makes it a nice light meal before an evening of entertainment at the casino theatre.
