…Where everybody knows your name. Pioreer Pub is a warm & friendly place. The layout is open and seating comfortable. The serving team is efficient and happy. I really love the FREE popcorn. There’s a wide selection of drinks & specials. The kitchen makes excellent wings & fries & gravy. There’s so many TVs you will feel like you are actually at the game! Perfect for the whole gang. The Pioneer Pub is a wonderful place.

I agree with what other people say. Wings are tiny compared to lets say Legends and other ones. Service is slowwww as hell. Full house and only 1 server? Come on now. 2nd time i went, still 1 server and the place was also packed. Id come here if i feel like wings and there are no other places to go to.

Nice local pub. Big TVs showing sports games. $ 0.35 wings on Tuesday — Thursday after 5 till closing. Brewed Iced Tea is good and complimentary popcorn.

Definitely a neighborhood pub! This place has great energy and is pretty crowd accommodating. The food is alright for a quick bite. However, the upbeat, loud atmosphere might not exactly be the perfect place for catching up, since you’ll probably find yourself yelling over each other the entire time.

This is your typical neighbourhood pub, so it’s great for the locals and walking distance, as one shouldn’t be driving home lol. It’s more than decent, a bit outdated, but fine to get out of the house and enjoy beer and a sports game. free parking in this plaza, by Petrocanada. closes midnite.

Though the chicken wing special is 35 cents each, they might happen to be the tiniest wings I have ever laid eyes on. The service was horrible to a point where we ended up leaving. When we were waiting and trying to get our waitresses attention for almost 20 min in this small bar we decided to take matters into our own hands. One of our friends who came with us asked her as she walked by if we can make an order and the waitress said«I’m Busy! I will come back in a bit» We understand your are busy at work but a smile or something would be nice. Hint hint *Customer Service Industry* means to make clients feel good or at least not make them feel horrible. She never came back. We asked another waitress for our bill about half an hour later, paid up and went somewhere else. In summary, if you like tiny chicken wings, bad service, a choice of only TWO beers(Coors and Canadian) then come here and hang out with the blue collar after work drink alone crowd. If you want something better try anywhere else.

Richmond commonly has a reputation for being the ultimate bedroom community without any real soul and things to do. The Pioneer is just one of quite a few. It may come as a big surprise, but there are quite a few pubs in Richmond. This is one of my favourites. The place is a little cozy, albeit pretty small, and has a pretty friendly staff. The clientele(other Unilocalers seem to like to stereotype them into being creepy and too country) is actually pretty cool. I somehow seem to get along with them just fine. The staff is friendly and pretty quick with anything you want. There are good beer and food specials. For those of you who don’t like dive bars, DON’T GOTOTHEM!

I don’t know where this pub finds its clientele, it has a real Maple Ridge/Abbotsford vibe to it. Some of those folks do live in Richmond and they gravitate to the Pioneer frequently enough to keep them in business. Pioneer is like no other pub in the Richmond and South Vancouver area(well, there used to be a peeler spot just over the Arthur Lang Bridge, but that shut down quite a few years ago). It certainly must pre-date Richmond’s last wave of immigration. Kind of a seedy atmosphere, but that is what I like about it. It seems so out of place in Richmond. It’s a novelty. With its barflies and rundown waitresses. The food? Average. Better than O’Hares and Malones(the other«more trendy» local Richmond pubs, and I used the term trendy here rather loosely.) The beer? Fine. Wide selection on tap.

This place is kind of a dive, but it’s awesome in it’s own way. They have free popcorn to snack on, and their drink prices are freaking cheap! Their food isn’t half bad either, and they usually have good specials on all days of the week. The Pi has karaōke on weekends, Fridays I think? Lots of songs to choose from and the regulars are friendly and usually have good singing voices. There’s no stage though, so it’s kind of akward but whatever, still a good time. There’s a fair share of creepy old men who sit in the corner and stare at you, but that seems to be the norm in most Richmond bars. Also, if you aren’t in the mood for seeing at least a handfull of people from your high school(doesn’t seem to matter which one you went to, everyone comes here because it’s central) this might not be the place for you.

The Pioneer Pub at No. 3 Road and Williams The best little draft beer bar in all of Vancouver — includes Guiness! 35 cent chicken wings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Fantastic daily food and drink specials. Great friendly staff in a retro 70‘s oak trimmed working man‘s bar. Pssst — Richmond‘s best kept neighbourhood pub secret! Recently purchased by the old Legends crew…
