This is a good choice to go to for good ready-made Cantonese food. While there are two other places like this in the Richmond Public Market, I think this one edges the others out in terms of consistent quality and taste. I wouldn’t say the food is like why you would get in a restaurant but for a food court, it’s pretty good especially when you factor what they charge. I like the quantity of food you get for the money. $ 7 for a two-course meal or $ 7.50 for three. Their meals come with a choice of steamed rice, fried rice, or chow mein. Soup or Chinese tea is included. If you order in, they pile the food onto *both* sides of a takeout container. What I like about this is that I can eat half(which is plenty) and save the rest for a meal the next day. That’s a real bargain. You can also order a la carte from their menu but I haven’t tried those out yet so I can’t comment. Something also good to note: if you need to feed a large group, you can purchase four of their ready-made items for $ 20. That’s four large containers of food which is enough to easily feed a family. They also have pre-order package meals that won’t break the bank if you really have a large group to feed. They have a paper menu there that describes the packages.

First time try at this place. $ 7.5 per container or 4 for $ 26. Good deal. Combo is $ 7 with 2 choice entrée and rice or $ 7.53 choice entrée and rice. Combo portion is big and good for 2 people. We order fresh made whole lobster stir fry which is $ 16 per dish and it is delicious.

Wow, I’ll never order from anywhere else if the family feels like having greasy chinese food for dinner. We went here yesterday based on Larry’s review below and even though there are 3 – 4 other food court stalls that offer the same items at the same price, Wonder Wok was the one that had people lining up. The price is now $ 7 – 9 per takeout container OR4 for $ 24. I think you can also get 2 different kinds in one container for $ 7 – 9 but I was too scared to ask, haha. They give you mountains of food. Hubby and I ordered 2 containers(honey garlic spareribs and fried pork) and we were only able to eat half. They don’t have any descriptions on their food so if you’re not chinese or not used to such a wide range of selection, you can ask the lady. If you’re vegetarian, I wouldn’t recommend for you to come here as vegetarian dishes probably have been in contact with meat or things that have touched meat. All in all pretty good, and will come back.

Weeknight, what’s for food? Hmmmm how about go to the Richmond Public Market food court for some Asian delights? $ 20 bucks will get you about 4 large containers of whatever they have on display for take out. Today, it was steamed fish with preserved vegetables, Fresh green beens in brown bean sauce and ground pork meatballs with onions and black bean sauce. The last dish I ordered was the soya sauce chicken which was juicy! At most other take out Chinese food court places the food has been sitting and at this place when the time was right, I got everything fresh and tasty. My family was most impressed with the chicken. The fish was a good dish but it was a bit smelly because of the preserved vegetables. The pork meatballs were very very good. My stepfather liked them very much. And for me, the green beans was delectable, crisp, but cooked and flavourful. Wonder Wok has a good assortment and if you can get past all the flashy places on your way accross the mall, you’ll be happy you made it there. I have gotten chowmein, fried rice and chop suey for larger party take outs which they will also do for you at a good competitive price.
