Great breakfast spot in St.Albert. our second time here, I had the Irish breakfast and my girlfriend had the veggie omelet. Hot, fresh and delicious.

Came around 1 on a Saturday, so it was pretty quiet — though I can see it being very busy if we’d been there for the breakfast crowd. Service was really friendly and prompt, which was nice since we were in a bit of a hurry. The Surfer Benedict(smoked salmon) came with a healthy portion of potatoes and a side salad. The salad didn’t seem like a great match — a fruit salad would have worked better. The Benedict was cooked properly, but the dill hollandaise wasn’t our favourite. It came out too creamy, and was reminiscent of a mayonnaise more so than a hollandaise. The full Irish breakfast had a lot going on: two eggs, sausage, baked beans, Irish bacon, potatoes, grilled tomato and toonie-sized pieces of black & white pudding… oh, and toast(or you could have Irish bread instead). The white pudding was delicious! Crispy, flavourful and a nice change to typical breakfast fare. The black pudding didn’t have as much flavour. My bacon was over cooked so it was tough and dry. Very sad face. :(Aside from the white pudding, the rest of the items were pretty standard and didn’t really jump out at me. Both breakfasts and a coffee came to $ 40ish before tip. Not the cheapest breakfast option, but I liked that there were things that you don’t always see offered.

Random stop on our way to a different event. I don’t live in St Albert so this stop was especially a pleasant surprise. Hungry for breakfast, Toast did not disappoint. Small, quaint and trendy Café with Irish roots. Small bookshelf with interesting art pieces along the wall. Accommodating for all, individuals and families. Fast seating and friendly service. We ordered brunch: pancakes, omelets, came with toast and hash-browns. Reasonably priced for delicious food. Wide variety of options. Coffee fresh and unlimited. Located in the corner of a shopping complex, parking lot tends to be busy but there is overflow spaces. Wifi is available.

Went around lunch time and was seated right away. Servers were very polite. Despite that it was 1pm, we can still order breakfast. Ordered a Spanish Omelette and chocolate chip pancakes. Omelette was done well. It came with salad and home cut potatoes. My favourite was the pancakes! Fluffy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. It was done perfectly. It seems like it was made by pouring a thin layer of batter on the pan/griddle, then sprinkling the chocolate chips and then adding another layer of batter. Personally I think it’s better to be incorporated with the batter then cooked. Still tasty none the less.

This place was awesome! I looked at the menu beforehand and the veggie sandwich sounded great. When we got there it wasn’t on the menu I asked our server and she said their menu had changed a bit. She asked the chef if he could prepare one and he said yes. It was so good! I got fries and the chefs salad with the house balsamic vinaigrette. I’ll definitely be back!

Both my hubby and I had the English breakfast. It was pretty good, quick service and a bit on the pricey side but all and all, we would definitely come back!

Forgot to review it on the same day as I went there but the breakfast was amazing. Everything was fresh. Good sized portions. Real hash browns none of that grated potatoe, half cooked garbage most other chains have switched to. I had the eggs Benedict. Really good hollandaise sauce. Give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Good experience, very nice and friendly ambiance! Cute restaurant, tucked away in the st. Albert complex. Love the décor. Ordered spinach crepes with hollandaise sauce. Crepes were cooked perfectly and filled deliciously. The hollandaise sauce wasn’t the best, but is only drizzled on top. Not a big deal! Sweetest server. Huge smile and seems to genuinely love her job. Quaint and cute place, recommended !

This small café is phenominal. Excellent food. Great prices. $ 8.25 for two eggs, irish bacon and crispy hash browns. Excellent coffee. They offered medium or dark roast. When our coffee was refilled a couple of times Ann came back with cups of fresh coffee to replace the ones we were drinking from. Awesome service. Highly recommended. They have captured me as a customer.

Amazing food! Everything is fresh and delicious. Our new favourite breakfast place! P. s. If going as a couple order the a main breakfast dish to share and order a fruit salad and scone. Fills you up and you have lots of variety to enjoy with your partner.

This is my new favourite breakfast restaurant in St.Albert. My boyfriend and I go every Saturday for breakfast and never leave disappointed! The servers are very friendly and the menu has a great selection. The Eggs Benedict are some of the best I’ve ever had! The hollandaise sauce is homemade and delicious. The prices are fair for the serving size as well. I’ve never experienced the«dirty grill» taste here that so many other breakfast restaurants struggle with. A really great addition to the city!

My family came to Toast for a nice breakfast. The pancakes and French toast were delicious! The portion is definitely filling and served quite quickly too! The service was great too! Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the pricing of beverages — a glass of OJ is $ 4! What a cash grab! In my mind, juice should not cost so much. Two adults getting a beverage(just juices) for brunch, costing almost $ 10?!

Outstanding Rum and Banana Crêpe! A wonderful place to eat if on a budget and like a good variety of choices. A must visit for sure! It won’t disappoint your taste buds or wallet.

I expected something better, from the reviews. The breakfast was average, and on the higher scale of prices for this type of restaurant. My wife liked the eggs Benedict; I had pancakes and found them filling but not as good as other breakfast places around — or home, for that matter. The coffee was good and servers friendly and prompt, but I would not rank Toast as anything special.

St Albert has had two recent trends… Fast food burger joints(6 and counting) and breakfast cafes(2 – 3 new ones in the past year). Toast is the newest member on the block and they look like a force to be reckoned with! Serving authentic Irish favorites like black & white pudding imported from Ireland as well as English/Irish bacon they are showcasing the food from their country quite well. The full Irish breakfast has eggs, 3 different meats, beans, tomatoes, homefries and of course their namesake… Toast! Now that’s a hearty first meal of the day! They are open most days until 3pm so you can have your breakfast for lunch as well! I haven’t tried the coffee yet but if they’ve put as much thought into that as their food then I’m sure its good! The restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a shopping complex and has a bakery and pub as neighbors. The parking lot can get somewhat full but there is overflow spots that are still very close. The décor is simple and clean with a homey touch of some books lining a shelf. I enjoy a good breakfast/brunch and I’m looking forward to enjoying many of the options that Toast offers!
