While spending some time in the area we need a quick bite to eat before hitting the road so we decided to stop in at this McDonalds. This was the first time we dropped by this particular location and found it interesting that it’s located within a gas station. We ended up ordering from their drive-thru which was a little difficult due to the language barrier, but we got exactly what we wanted. The service here was really great only issue being that they were a bit slow. That being said the food quality was great and Canadian McDonald’s is definitely superior to McDonald’s in the US.

This McDonald’s is one of the last major fast food stops before Bay St.Paul. A few points… 1. If you are coming from Quebec City, go just beyond the restaurant and turn left at the light by the monstrous Cyclorama and Cathedral. Trust me, you will see it. It is a bit safer to turn here. Once you turn there is a small street to the left that goes into the McDonald’s lot. 2. The restaurant can be a zoo during peak times. They don’t do a great job of serving customers quickly. 3. Also during peak times, the place can be unkempt. They need to hire at least one(more) person who does nothing but clean tables. 4. They have a lot of space here. There is a nice outdoor patio that is great on summer days. I think they could reasonably handle tour groups headed to Charlevoix.
