i cannot find a «greasy spoon» in toronto that holds a candle to this hometown gem, not that im looking for a replacement, but this little café makes for some amazing breakfast. really awesome service and decent sized foods. all of the staff are really tight knit and have a stellar knack for efficiency. as crazy as this sounds, it is worth going out of youre way just to eat here. the only negatives are you have to pay for parking, and the size of the inside is very tiny, so don’t delay, get in, eat and get out. ha!

Good solid home cook, but it takes forever to get your order in and then longer to get your meal because they’ve not got enough wait staff at any time. Serves a good solid breakfast of bacon and eggs, pancakes and other good stuff BUT be prepared to wait an hour to get it. Also staff will expect you to pass plates around to your friends and family. The boss may come out to chat with his patrons, but doesn’t take kindly to any criticism of his cooking. owned by two brothers who argue with their own family members — it is entertaining while you wait.

This was the most disgusting breakfast I have ever had! The food made me feel sick, and the owner was extremely rude to me. I would never go back there!

The one… the only… the emancipator… the originator of the greasy spoon café in my life!!! Love it and miss it every day!
