Healthy fast and sooooo good. I always feel full and fresh when I leave. Try bowl #3 with chicken…

We love the food here and chopped fruit infused water. But pricey but I hate fast food and this is a very clean eating, healthy option. You don’t feel like a clogged artery when walking out :)

I love the food here. It is a bit pricey for the atmosphere(you go up to order), but the quality is high. I’ve been a few times and have always found the staff to be effective but kind of rude. I can’t describe it, but it’s just little things like when I ask what soup they have she pointed to the sign silently instead of just saying it, or they seem kind of impatient if you are deciding. Just not really friendly. But they are fast and work well. I’ll be back.

This is my favourite lunch option during the work week. Fast, healthy and convenient — what more could I ask for? I especially love grabbing a bowl of soup on a cold day. I’m not the biggest fan of the seating layout, but at least there is always some form of available seating even during rush hour. Staff are friendly and service is fast. They are always at the top of their game every time I’ve come in for lunch.

It’s weird to me how different franchises of the same chain can be so different. The southside and downtown locations both seem to work like a well-oiled machine. Even during a lunch rush. This location however… nobody seems to have any drive. The staff are all nice enough, they just don’t appear to care about hurrying up at all. If that meant the quality was higher, I might be more forgiving. But it’s not. I don’t typically order any protein with my salads here, because I find it almost rubber-y. I’ve started to enjoy their sandwiches more than salads, but they fall apart quite often and are difficult to eat. With Freshii finally opened up nearby, my visits have definitely become less frequent. There’s just nothing to pull me in.

Been here 4 times now…4 times they have been out of their prawn salad rolls… or all salad rolls. Unbelievable way to run a buisness. What food I have been«lucky» enough to sample has been pretty good… but I can’t see very far past their inventory issues. If you want their salad rolls. maybe call ahead… or try othef location in Sherwood Park!

I was on my lunch break which is only half an hour, and I saw that the chopped leaf was open. I went in. 5 – 10 minute wait in line. 15 – 20 minute wait for food. I was a few minutes shy of being late to work getting back from getting what is supposed to be fast food. Fail on service’s part. And I am sorry, they charge $ 4 for the smallest cup of soup I have ever seen and the soup was nothing to write home about(Thai coconut). It was ultimately flavorless except for the coconut. I couldn’t even taste the cilantro in it. I also had the Baja Quesadilla. I have never had such an awful time eating a Quesadilla in my life! It fell apart the moment I went to pick it up and the fillings did not have a lot of flavor at all. There wasn’t even a decent browning on the quesadilla and I watched it sit on the grill for 10 minutes. Maybe the speed problem with service is the barely functioning grill? For a sub par quesadilla, a urine sample size cup of soup, and a half size bottle of Coke zero, I paid almost $ 17. The food was not fantastic, the service speed was appalling. I cannot say that I will ever be coming back or that I will be referring them any business. Disappointed

Healthy and very filling! Not«fast» food, but I’m fine with that since the quality is great. Just come with some time to spare. The food and place: I’m a mushroom soup lover, and get it whenever I have the chance since it’s not frequently available at most places. But today was my lucky day because it was one of the daily soups at Chopped Leaf! The«wild mushroom chowder» was hot and fresh, with rice, celery, and a good amount of sliced mushroom. Really good! The Spicy chicken sandwich also had onions, mushrooms, cheddar, romaine, and came with an aioli dipping sauce. It was fabulous! Beautiful interior, with a rustic feel and lots of tables. Even has a small patio outside. I found the staff very friendly. How it works: –pick what you want off the menu boards –order and pay at the cashier –if it’s «to go» you wait for your food to be passed over the counter near the door –if it’s «to stay» you get a number that you display on your table, and your food will be brought over to you. –when you’re done, you leave and they clear your table for you. Large menu, I’ll have to come back to try more!

I had a great experience here while introducing my mom to chopped leaf. While the CL at home takes out the things I can’t have due to dietary restrictions and then charges me extra for any changes, these guys were happy to give me extra of what I CAN eat, which was amazing. Service was friendly, quick, and our meals were both excellent. I’m also in love with the amount of seating at this location– wishing the one at home had booths and tables like this! Will definitely try and come back next time I’m in town.

I’m struggling to find what all the hype is about for Chopped Leaf. While it’s an awesome, healthy alternative to fast food — it really wasn’t all that fast for take out. My whole experience from standing in line ordering, and grabbing my food over lunch was approx. 20 minutes. The prices are relatively high if you’d like to add any protein or add ons, which kind sucks. My salad was alright — I found that they were pretty skimpy with everything except lettuce. I ordered a side butternut squash soup and it tasted like a thin, tomato soup — not all that appealing. I’m not sure I’d give this place another go.

This location is WAY better than Gateway. My salad was HUGE it was worth $ 13 this time! ¾ of the way through I was getting full. The only downside is that they don’t offer warming your protein in a separate pan on the grill to avoid cross contamination with Gluten. You are offered it cold or microwaved. I decided cold was a better choice. I pefer eating any meat cold than microwaving it even at home.

So one of the girls at work recommended this place today. Because of the heat I was looking for«fresh, light» food. So I gave it a shot. I will say the food actually was pretty freaking good. It sucks that the service was SOBAD. I mean… K. It’s busy. Yes. It’s also 30 degrees outside and you’re stuck in a kitchen. Got it. But you’re in the food industry. This is the job you chose. I don’t appreciate the absolute Horrible glares I have ever got at a restaurant. It wasn’t just a look either. It was the entire 25 minute wait I had standing beside the grill. Staring. Rolling their eyes. Actually serving two people that showed up AFTER I ORDERED first. From all of the young girls there. I will never return because of this. Sucks because the food is really great.

I went here for the first time with my sister for lunch on a Monday afternoon. She is a regular to Chopped Leaf and insisted that I tried it! We both ordered the Sunshine wrap with chicken and their fruit infused water. Considering how busy it was and the amount of time that is probably required to make the monstrous wraps, we had them delivered to our table in a timely fashion. I was so pleased with how it tasted and the portion size. I was absolutely stuffed, but didn’t feel gross afterwards like I would have from a large fast food meal. I thought the wrap’s ingredients worked well together and loved that they weren’t skimpy on the avocado or chicken. Awesome! I will return. I recommend this place for anyone that is wanting a large portion of food that is both quick and healthy.

My favorite place to go for food!!! Whenever my mum and I go there we reminisce about how they use such simple fresh, healthy ingredients to make such delicious combinations! I highly recommend the Whole Bowl!

I’m a fan of this place, but I really struggle to give a rating. I’d rather give a 3.5 — with 4 stars for the food, 2.5−3 stars for speed and service. Downside –really slow service and sometimes the amount of dressing seems inconsistent. Every time I’m forced to wonder why it’s taking so long to order and receive a salad? It is a bit pricey and loud inside so when I place my order the server often has trouble hearing me and doesn’t always get my order right which I find out when I get back to the office(I’ve taken to checking before I leave). I’ve given up going to The Chopped Leaf during the lunch hour since I just don’t have the time to wait 25 – 35 mins in line for a salad. For a healthy«fast food» place they do well with a great menu and good quality ingredients and it’s great that their salads so colourful and not skimpy on the toppings. It’s just too bad that it’s not faster and there aren’t more quick options near by for fresh and healthy lunches.

I went for take out lunch… I thought it would be made fresh to order– yes it was semi-fresh made that morning/last night, but it was served cold(out of the fridge) and 2min after I ordered… literally. I found the meal tastelless and much room for improvement. I eat vegetarian so I ordered the Bangkok with«smoked tofu($ 3)» in total with 1 $ tip was 13 $ in total… not cool. The tofu was in little tiny cubes which I could not taste any of the smoke… I would rather go get a wrap with some taste for 6 $ then some out of the fridge with watered down sauce that came out of the jar. I’m sorry but I will not be going back. Contrary to what others say, ITISEASYTOEATOUTHEALTHY… without paying big prices.

Who doesn’t appreciate a well placed, irritatingly overused, cliché phrase like«you get what you pay for»… At the Chopped Leaf, you get what you pay for. In other words, the food is AWESOME; so fresh, and colourful, and delicious, but also pretty expensive. A salmon wrap, a bottle of water, and a $ 2 tip(which brings me to another point which I will make shortly) cost me about $ 15. To me, that’s a little much for lunch — not to mention that I am smaller than the average person — nicknamed things like Shorty, Littleton, Smurfette, and my personal fav, Oompa Loompa throughout my life may give you an idea of what I mean — so I typically fill up faster than most: adding a salad or soup would likely bring you closer to the $ 20 mark. We have all experienced this type of fast food dinning; pick your wrap, pick your protein, pick your veggies, pick your cheese, pick your sauce. Everything extra costs you a little extra and they limit you to 3 veggie topping choices. Again I add, the food is delicious and fresh tasting! Now about tipping at these types of places(and other similarly set up places like Press’d or Mongolie Grill)…I have worked in customer service my whole life(Dairy Queen, Mr. Sub, Best Western — Front Desk, and now in Sales) and never EXPECTED a tip from any of these places. Now it seems like there is a tip jar or debit tip option EVERYWHERE you go… I don’t always feel that a tip is warranted for these types of places but I don’t know if maybe things have changed, and I don’t want to be rude — what’s the deal, yo!!! Anyway, back to the point — when it comes to the Chopped Leaf, if YOU are paying, I am IN! Parking at this location is ATROCIOUS during peak hours, be forewarned! Definitely worth checking this place out!

One of a few healthy options to eat out. If you go at lunch though expect to wait a little as at times, the line up is to the door. I have come once for dinner and service was super fast. I enjoy the menu as its not peppered with everything, the options are a few but delicious. Like Ramsay always says keep it simple and short. The prices are what you expect for healthy food a lil more pricey. I wish there were more locations of this place because going to the Park or downtown is a little out of the way. Ive tried everything and have nothing but good things to say.

I was really REALLY excited to finally check out Chopped Leaf as I had heard so much about it. I went for lunch one day on my own and decided on the starter size Bangkok salad with chicken. The food was fresh when it arrived. I was impressed with the size of the salad as I think a regular size would have been way too much for me. The only thing that made me sad was the chicken. It was clearly not«real» chicken… the kind you get off a bird, unaltered. Instead it was the kind with grill marks drawn on it that is usually full of sodium and«meat protein». This surprised me considering the health conscious nature of the franchise. However, it was warm, and the dressing was good, so down it went. The restaurant itself was clean, modern and comfortable. I would go back to try a different salad, perhaps with prawns or tofu and also because of the friendly staff.
