The food quality is consisently excellent, as is the service. Owner, Patrick, and his employees are always friendly and leave us with the impression that they appreciated us visiting their restaurant. Best sushi I’ve ever had, and I was adamantly against sushi before visiting Sakai.

Holy crap! I didn’t think it was possible to get sushi this fresh and delicious in Spruce Grove — actually anywhere in Alberta. Again, travelling for work, colleague suggested this place and I agreed! I got the Bento Box 2 and was in heaven! Everything was so fresh and delicious and the restaurant itself is spotless and modern and the service is so good!!! It’s in a strip mall area on the south side of Spruce close to the highway and a bunch of other shops! Check it out!!!

I eat at this restaurant for lunch and dinner on a regular basis and i have never been disappointed. the food is always fresh, quick and friendly service and the prices are very reasonable. Their sashimi is very well chilled and fresh, and their rolls are not heavily laced with rice and small amounts of filling. This is definitely one of the top restaurants in the Grove… I will continue to frequent their establishment.

Very good place for sushi. Food for all levels of sushi eaters. Wait staff was very nice and quite attentive. I tried the tuna/​salmon sashimi and the volcano rolls. The sashimi was some of the beat ive tried. The rolls very very good as well. They have a great selection of booze. Will be back again for sure.
