Had a really weird girl serve us last week. She gave me strange looks and had a weird attitude. Even my boyfriend commented when we left. The quality of the baked goods is consistent across the different locations but service here was interesting and not someplace I would go back for.

This particular location is smaller than some others I’ve seen, so the choices are more limited, but it’s still worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood. If you love scones, try the Apple and Butterscotch chip, or the White Chocolate Raspberry — truly delicious and fairly large. Order in multiples to save some money and please your tummy ;-D

My family and I regularly purchase our bread and baked treats from Cobs. We’ve been coming to this location on a weekly basis for nearly a year now. Our favorites include Cinnamon Bread(without raisins…) — my toddler calls it Picnic Bread and loves to eat it plain as a snack. It’s quite good toasted with butter of course, too!(This loaf is just under $ 5) We also LOVE the Pane di Case loaf! So good plain or with the kalamata olives in it!(The plain Pane di Case is around $ 4 and the one with kalamatas is slightly higher in price and slightly smaller in size). We first discovered the Pane di Case when I asked for their recommendation for a great panini bread. It’s also excellent with a scramble for breakfast! The kalamata olive loaf is also excellent for panini goodness — but you pretty much need to make 2 panini sandwiches with this one because it is smaller than the plain version. We also love their scones — they have a variety that varies day to day. Our favorites are the Apple Caramel and chocolate chip banana! They also regularly have chocolate chip, cinnamon, raspberry white chocolate… Mmm… I think I need to go have one now!(If I’m remembering correctly… scones are $ 1.80 each or sold at a better price in multiples of 4 or 6). They make delicious croissants — ham and cheese, spinach and feta, chocolate! They are a little pricey ranging from $ 2.50-$ 2.85 but oh so yummy! And of course they have danishes, cinnamon rolls, buns and bread galore! All made fresh daily!

Okay, I heard some hype about this place so I thought I’d stop in. It’s a tiny bakery and the bread looks as though it came out of a domestic bread making machine. It smelled like burnt raisins — not one of my favourite scents. The breads and baked goods did look appetizing but the staff weren’t too interested in answering questions. They seem to do fairly well, several people came in, ordered, and left. That seems to be what kind of place it is.
