As good as it gets for A&W’s. Though they are pretty consistent this St Albert location is consistently very good. Always have liked A&W Root Beer and the burgers, even the Chubby Chicken is pretty god but you usually have to wait. The St Albert location has a lot of Philipino workers and they provide great service. Will be interesting to see what happens when they go back home. MYBIGCOMPLAINT with A&W is that ever since they switched to the New York style fries I HATE the flavor of them. Go back to a McDonald’s style fry, it is the only reason anyone eats lunch at Micky upchuck’s to start with. Why loose business to them just because your fries are terrible.

I was here for lunch and the drive-thru and line inside was so busy. There was only one person taking orders for inside and it took 15 minutes. The food at A&W is always good but when the service sucks, it’s not worth the wait! Not sure if they only have one person working at lunch all the time since it was my first time here.

A & W has always had my favourite onion rings since my teen years, no matter where I’ve lived or visited, and they are just as good here. They also have frequent«specials» like the current Teen Burger at only $ 3, but you need to know about them or ask what is current, because most often there is no signage outside. If you’re doing the drive-in window, you have no way of knowing unless you inquire at the speaker box, which is a bit annoying. I have a soft spot in my heart for this location, though, because of an incident a few years ago. My granddaughter was totally humiliated when she knocked over a full ice cream float that managed to cover several meters in every directions and soak both of us. Staff quickly and quietly mopped it up, smiling at her and easing her discomfort, and even replaced the drink.

I went in to this location today to grab some lunch for me and my bf. I had a coupon they sent out in the junk mail, it was a 2 Mottza burger, 2 drinks, and 2 fries kinda deal. So I had asked her if I could change one of the burgers to a chubby chicken burger. thinking it would be no big deal… Apparently, its a huge deal for them, and there was a big spiel as to why they couldn’t allow that. OK; so fine 2 mottza burgers it is. Except for that when we got home and opened them it was 2 teen burgers. in double teen burger wrapping. Well done, well done.

Even if they forgot the extra seasoning for my rings, the staff members who run this place are tops. They work hard and they keep the place acceptably tidy. Recommended for a grease feast.
